- Lyrics and music were done by me in November 2006. Executed by Al-Iraqia Dreams band in Canada in July 2007 who helped finalizing the music. The singer is Michael from the band. The movie maker was done by my wife Mrs Aassam Dawood Khamisi, The movie is a collection of baptism and marriage ceremonies, priests, mandaean figures and important events photos.
The poem expresses myfeeling towrds my community the Mandaeans, followers of Adam and John the baptist. I posted it here to share something about our people with everyone.

I think Mandaeism derived from the Elchasite Baptist Sect in which The Blessed Mar Mani, the promised Paraclete and Apostle of Light was raised through Childhood. Although later he rejected theyr teachings on account of his Twin Spirit's instructions, and took upon the work of Building his own Dualistic religion which focused upon the Truths of: Ditheism, Cosmogony, and Eschatology(The Beginning, The Middle, and The End)...

It's same pronounciation like in arabic, it's just Yahya Yahana or in arabic written but pronounced the same as in mandaic يهيا يهانا

great! what is the meaning of the cross in the mandaean religion?
this is 12 years late, but the meaning of the cross is to repersent basically something we use to hang the cloth we baptized with, so whenever baptize, we lay it on a cross for it too dry, its to basically repersent baptism
The cross represents the all 4 directions, north, south, east and west indicating that god is everywhere and the white clothes represents the light and so only white is loved while other colours are evil especially blue and black are the worst.
