Dave we were in Milos late in the season, early November, it was really spectacular. The water was a little fresh but being the only boat in the anchorage was amazing :). Best of luck with the travels!
@@SailingKawai @Sailing Kawai November and still swimming, would not be for us. We currently live in the Caribbean, water is warmer here, moving next year to Europe again, will be an adjustment for us. Oh, if you think about sailing to the Caribbean I would recommend to forget it. Unless you want to anchor and visit every island in complete detail I would say that, other than the BVI up until the Bahama's it is not worth it. Normally very rough seas, 20 to 30 kts wind on average and difficult to make it back from the Caribbean to Europe. You are almost bound to continue to the Pacific. And did I mention the crime rate on the islands ?
Hey Phil, thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for the kind words 😁. We will release another video tomorrow, hope all is well and thanks again for watching!

Here in the cold, damp and rainy Luxembourg, greetings from a Romanian living in Dublin who just adores Greece! Enjoy! PS: Wonderful film footage. Because we like it so much, please hear our input (sic!) on a couple of points to make our fine viewing experience a gorgeous one 😉: 1. The sound quality will much improve if you could only invest in a separate mic with a "dead cat" wind protection. Not mentioning a wireless lavalier microphone so we can hear you both in high quality. 2. If you could introduce some narration on the places you visit (and Greece is so full of facts and legends and geography), it will bring a something extra to the viewers. Thank you, and keep exploring!
Hahahaha that's a mouthful, it's also rainy and cold in Marmaris :). Hahaha we appreciate all feedback as we are learning on the go. We do have a 'dead cat' but in windy conditions it still seems to leave an annoying sound. As for a wireless microphone will have to look into that one hahaha. We also love history, will try to add some more, thanks for the feedback and hope the weather improves in Luxembourg
Hey guys! I’m now all caught up with the videos! Absolutely love the channel, super cool vibes from you both. Hoping there are more videos in the pipeline!

Hey you two. My wife and I have really been enjoying your videos that have been improving leaps and bounds as time passes. You do a great job of showing the beauty of cruising and your editing is really starting to look professional IMO. You should be proud of yourselves! We have come close a few times to crossing wakes in Greece this year. Thanks for the tip about Filiatro, Ithaca and thanks also for the beach cleaning service. (grin) For sure your videos of the Peloponnese have made that our destination next spring though we did enjoy the gulfs of Patara and Corinth this past fall. Always wonderful to see people living their dreams. Keep having fun and know that your efforts are appreciated. Jim and Joann SV Sueno
Hey guys, glad you are enjoying the videos, we have definitely learnt a lot both sailing and editing on this trip, glad you are noticing :). Hey Guys loveeee your vlogs I will be travelling to Turkey shortly looking to buy a boat and sail (over the next couple of years) back to Oz I will be registering the boat as Australian I was wondering if tax (GST) has not been paid do you know when I have to pay it when I buy the boat or when I arrive back in Oz Thanks Simon
Hi Simon, thanks very much, glad you are enjoying the video's :). Sounds awesome, I bet you are pumped! Mate we did exactly the same as you, and you will need to pay the GST when you arrive back in Australia with the boat. Hope that helps mate. If you find a boat in Turkey we made a video about the buying process in Turkey (Video 6) which you will find helpful. Thanks for watching and good luck.
Hey John, it was really out of season, we only saw 1 other yacht crossing the Cyclades so he had very little on offer hahaha, still a nice place with a great view :)
@@SailingKawai Yes, a beautiful view ! Katie (12) and I finished our cruising season in October. Our last night at anchor was in Asi Koyu. It's not far and you'll never regret it. We are coming in April but seems endless time till then 😕. You gonna take Kawai up from water this winter?
Hi Andrei, great to hear from you! We were actually anchored in Ciftlik last week, I hadn't heard the news of the damage but witnessed the bad weather a couple of days ago, huge seas and strong winds. We were lifted on Saturday just before the storms arrived and will spend the European winter in Australia for summer :). @dcbourbonireland Hi again, Depends on time frame, but for 6 months (45 foot) 3500 euros includes lift and storage on the hard, price is always changing , we just emailed the marina and we had a quote within 24 hours. Hope that helps.

I’m up to date ... we watched all episodes in a month fantastic !...great couple great journey thank you :)
Hey Phil, thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for the kind words 😁. We will release another video tomorrow, hope all is well and thanks again for watching!

We will put another video out next week of our time in Mykonos. Currently we are in Australia due to Covid-19, our borders are shut, so there is no way to head back overseas for now. Glad you are enjoying the videos and thanks for the kind words :)

@ 5:03 mark, where is that exactly. I'm going to Milos in a few months and would love to visit this spot! Is it accessible by boat only?
It's called "Kleftiko" and yes it's accessible only by boat, but there's a lot of them in Milos ports for daily cruises.
Hi and thanks for getting in contact with us. Yes unfortunately Kleftiko is only accessible by boat. As mentioned in the comments it's very popular and many tours access the area. Beautiful spot and worth a visit. Have a great time in Milos and thanks for watching :)

Here in the cold, damp and rainy Luxembourg, greetings from a Romanian living in Dublin who just adores Greece!
Enjoy!
PS: Wonderful film footage. Because we like it so much, please hear our input (sic!) on a couple of points to make our fine viewing experience a gorgeous one 😉:
Really no comparison to it......⛵⛵⛵💯💯💯
Agree, perfect!

Also a romanian 🙂 but watching you guys from Oxford, UK. @dcbourbonireland Hi again,
Depends on time frame, but for 6 months (45 foot) 3500 euros includes lift and storage on the hard, price is always changing , we just emailed the marina and we had a quote within 24 hours. Hope that helps.
