While you could take your Stamina up into the 80s to run B agility, why not just use the new OP updated build I made instead? th-cam.com/video/TAyVEZN0jDs/w-d-xo.html
EpicBob123 the dragon horn ofcourse. It took me 2 hours for that shit to drop and its basically an upgrade of the standard grapple with bonus anima gain.
@@LizdardKing86 Thanks for the info, I just wasn't sure exactly on damage numbers is all. Do you know if Grapple Damage bonuses apply to Dragon Horn? Or is it specifically to Grapple only?
EpicBob123 no worries man and for the grapple damage bonus applying on it im not sure and have not tested but it should because its a upgraded grapple skill.
You're exactly right at the fact that you dont like item based builds. Alot of youtubers place builds that are highly dependent on buffs for instance, which you dont use 95% of the time. Awesome build dude!
Love your content, been following your guides since dark souls 2, so hyped for nioh 2 just need to get for myself then you can show me all the secrets, keep up the great work
Love this build! I always run Havels Set in souls games so the low agility doesn't bother me! Thanks for this, helped me flesh out the build I'm working on.
Nice build. I use the axe instead of odachi for that armor set since its heavy armor and the stamina helps alot. But im trying to figure what builds would be good. I look forward to your spear and axe build.
Have yet to try out Tatenashi but am considering to try out a poison Odachi build with kabuto helmet. Obsidian simply will not fit into that, i can also slap on an attack based on stamina on the weapon, undecided on weapon as well though since firefly wont work. But my biggest gripe Im trying to find out is how much damage does the tatenashi set actually provides? Weight is high but still, if just 3-4% its just not worth it. The plus is that it is a redicilously tanky set plus you can still use dark samurai axe for rage duration if you want that. Although personally Im trying to make a high magica, poison, odachi tank build. That said Im farming for the damn smithing text for the lightning odachi since I do have an absurdly good rolled and tempered obsidian set I used earlier. Loving my dual sword poison build but its something about the Odachi which after going through all weapons I just feel that hit home the most, and alot more fun then axe, and easier combos. Still back to my question, how much damage does tatenachi actually provide? I prefer to use Honda as clan for active skill damage which actually on Honda goes all the way up to +28%, and takes but an hour or two to get it there if you changed new (craft eastern set and offer, rince and repeat). I liked Tatenachi in Nioh but in Nioh 2 it seems it was heavily nerfed with the damage bonus it apply. Any idea? Last but not least: Im probably one of the very few players that played through the entire game without ever using a single yokai ability or burst counter, but purely relied on the builds and weapons. Gave me a good solid foundation for what weapons truly work, and what buffs that work. Literally the only buff I used for the normal play through was rejuvenation talisman and steel skin. And yeah, it made the game hard as hell:) But its how I play, now I have gone around life leach by using extract talisman and life recovery from amrita gain which you can have on 2 talismans plus chest, and it gives life back on poison and burning ticks as well, far superior to life leach, so one less slot for tempering unless you absolutely must have it. Rejuvenation talisman as well is incredibly potent. Once you got extraction talisman, rejuvenation talisman and just 1 pieace of equipment with life recovery on amrita gained you can walk through most encounters unless your 1 shot. Just a tip.
That's a huge sacrifice, not worth running a build with C agility, not even for a full tank. If you are in Todo clan, your life is increased with every point on stamina, and every point in stamina increases also your attack. Another benefit for having a B agility is the ki recovery, to fully recover on C agility it has a cooldown for 6.7 seconds while on B agility it takes 4.2 second.
Some sets you can't even get B agility with anymore, even with 99 strength 99 stamina. Until equipment weight reduction modifier is added back into the game it's C or take a different piece of gear. Kado is the same way, can't run the full set and get B agility.
So does moonlit snow just replace your basic heavy combo when it's unlocked. I just unlocked it but I'm trying to see when it should actually be pulled off.
If you are only going to use a single Odachi, then the lightning element is the best to go for. Also, "C" Agility is just unbearable for me. The Ki use and regen (even with Flux 2) is so sloooow that I just decided to gouge Stamina instead, and it's been easy mode with the axe as a secondary. You are talking about raising the other stats due to the Ki use, but your build has to do that because you're sitting at an Agility rank that destroys Ki...
@OverlordChicken You might raise both to 10 at least, but focusing on stamina makes it way easier to wear the heavier armors without dropping to C agility (garbage), and your damage doesn't really suffer much at all. I'd also recommend not just using Odachi's though. Use an Axe as a secondary and be amazed at how stupidly broken high stance is.
I'm confused, the smithing text drops? I got his helmet as a smithing text ._. Bro... IM TIRED MAN ;-; been doin this all day.... Wouldn't going for 99 stamina potentially be better due to todo being op, getting more life anyway and easily being able to hit B agility? I was comparing damage increase on level up screen with a regular unremodeled odachi and the difference seemed to be like 20-50 damage
Perhaps, I've always felt Ki is a weak point of Odachi and so I spec pretty heavily into heart. Once you're at max level I think 99 in STR/STM would be ideal though for sure, and then dual remodel the weapon.
@@FightinCowboy Ofc, I am more so talking about mid-ish level range of like 180 or so. I am using something like 99 stam 35 strength and then boosting heart and constitution as a tank build and it seems to work really well and the damage is pretty good. dont have that op magatama so my opinion might change if I get one of those
@@FightinCowboy gotcha, I'm currently running an odachi build with light armor just for the lulz and it's kinda killing me, but idk what to do now that I'm through ng+
Doesnt C agility increase your KI costs? Unless they changed it in Nioh 2 it would be better to try and reach B agility, before putting points into heart and courage.
I think I may be wrong but C agility means more ki consumption. Does this game not have stat to lower equipment weight like Nioh had (it was called weight reduction of 15% on a single gear)? It would being you down to B without losing equipment weight damage bonus.

I like the build, the C agility gets me killed though. I think I'll switch to the Kingo set and call it good :)
Yeah I really miss having equipment weight down. I'm probably gonna make a 2nd Odachi set in the future that isn't as beefy just to get B agility.
