I love this sound on guitar, but MAN do I love Ziv's drumming. Since first finding him with Shai Maestro Trio, he's been someone i look for when perusing You Tube for great music. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!
I am just in awe of the deep listening and quick, insightful responsiveness, the ability to contribute spectacularly and yet service the coherence of the group so utterly, that each of these guys demonstrate. Just Wow.
You fine men are a blessing to you fans around the world! Large, your fine backup musicians have made such an accent to your awesome guitar performance man! You’re a fine, fine musician and a great awesome young man! I pray that Almighty God bless you and your fine, fine group my friend. Your awesome drummer and bass performer are awesome fine men. To me, Lage Lund is one of today's jazz emerging stars, along with the greats like Julian Lage, Marteen van der Grinten, Jesse van Ruller, Andreas Oberg, or Reinier Baas, etc. Thanks for uploading this awesome and refreshing performance for free.
Its an ancient northen pagan ritual. Heard that those rituals summon weird gods and Lage is deep into that stuff. Thats why Lage keeps looking up right when he plays, keeping an eye out for ancient gods.
4:41 Why did he say his own name, "Lage Lund", and then say "I'm not sure how you pronounce that,..but" ? I mean, it's HIS own name..No? What don't I get ?
In his Jazz Heaven video he says he uses Sadowsky strings...but that was with his Sadowsky guitar, and it was recorded quite a while ago-things may have changed.
I think we had a golden age with Wes Montgomery, Johnny Smith, Tal Farlow, Pat Metheney,Kenny Burrell, Lenny Breau,Herb Ellis, Emily Remler,Barney Kessel, Grant Green,George Benson, Pat Martino, Jim Hall, Joe Pass etc etc. the big difference with these guys and the gifted modern guys is that you could usually tell them apart after a few notes todays players are more homogeneous coming from the same place.
The older guys had the advantage of being able to use styles that hadn't been used before. Players that come along later, how many good styles are left over?
I don't know a word in Japanese and if I'd go in Japan and it happen to listen people speaking for 2 hrs, guess what? All is gonna be very boring no matter what they re saying
We are living in a golden age of jazz guitarists, there are so many who are technically gifted and creative-a terrific upload-thank you.
Lage could definitely be an incredible stand up comedian and still be a bad ass guitar player!

Last tune is Coltrane's Countdown.
The blues is "Solid" by Sonny Rollins

Agree. Thought by the 1 hr mark Riv had taken center stage.
I watch & listen to jazz concerts while I work. First attempt at this I was scratching my head. Second attempt...PURE GENUIS. That's jazz for you....
Something new on guitar. Bravo!
Lage Lund's playing is inspiring as hell!
This act is insane, that language... they went so far away, and yet it sounds so beautiful.
Lage has a unique, great sense of time. Sets him apart from the usual phrasing in the New York school of young jazz guitarists.

Im a big fan of Mr. Lund :) what a beautiful sound and phrasing
I'm really liking this drummer! First time hearing him.
Myself as well. What a find.
Yes, he's playing some beautiful stuff here.

Perfect! Great! Exactly the way to play jazz guitar that everyone was looking for...
What a great trio!!! They sound amazing and their interaction and connection is terrific. Thank you for sharing this one🙏

Circus Guitar Players, everyone should learn from Pasquale Grasso, they are light years ahead
Lovely. Thank you from Hawaii.
Wonderful tunes, cleaning my house.
Wonderful, love the vivid chord colors.
Amazing!. Thanks!
Lage rarely looks at his guitar when he's taking a solo. He's probably staring at the bartender who didn't give him a free drink
😂😂😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I love this sound
Well done Lage!
Lage Lund il grande
Unbelievable Impressive in Freedom, Sound and Playing : WOW !!!
Xlent work in 5/8.
This section, five seconds of pure .... 38:50
Lage´s Humour ages well.
1:44:47 Solid
Cosmic space!
he should be playing for us with bill frisell, especially that piece in around 0:52 minutes...sounds abit of that genre....
mr Le fleming got delayed to the sound check but he is so musical that he tuned and set up the amp during the Luge Intro. Very impressive!!!!!
Massive!
Yes very Lage indeed!
30:50 - 39:07 Cool tune
1:08:43 You go to my head
Immense!
2:19:05 why are they all touching the floor?! Great show btw!!!

@@Sandemose 🤔🤣🤪😂👍😂
How do you know Lage is “deep into that stuff?” Just curious.
Hah, I'm no relation but I like Jazz!
4:41 Why did he say his own name, "Lage Lund", and then say "I'm not sure how you pronounce that,..but" ? I mean, it's HIS own name..No? What don't I get ?
35:05
2:05:38 What is the name of this song? (Lage says "Jobim thing"...)
i believe its a kind of colage. but you can hear passarinho and sabia in it
Does anybody know the brand of his guitar? Found them: Schottmueller guitars!
It looks like Pete Bernstein's guitar
@@intuneorange Pete plays a Zeidler (RIP).
Hey! This ain't Foghat!!! I wanted Foghat!!!!!!
48:01
Haha, I was like I’ll finally know how to pronounce his name
Does anybody know what pedalboard / floor unit he is using here?
Looks like a Fractal audio fm3 mate, that or a Metal Zone?
ya Fractal Fm3 it looks like.
Hey, can you please give me a link so I can download this in album form? I'm having trouble finding it.
Does anybody know what strings Lund is using here? Very large, boxy sound that projects nicely.
I think he uses Thomastik Bebop 12s
In his Jazz Heaven video he says he uses Sadowsky strings...but that was with his Sadowsky guitar, and it was recorded quite a while ago-things may have changed.
He said 13s in the Jazz Heaven video but that was years ago, would say Thomastik 13s, they are actually little lighter than your standard 12s.
not the Lage i was looking for....

@@alberthaust4542 They are making new styles. Are they "good"?
less is more ,freeing the guitar to be more intervalic and expressive in its innate orchestral way
That's right. Quit trying to sound like Bill Evans on guitar. It does not work.
ti tut ti tut ti tut, ti tu tu tit. just saying
All very very boring….zzzzzz..
Haha! If this is boring for you, then what would be exciting in your opinion?
no one made you watch it
You can enjoy just as much as you know about it. That being said, you know nothing.
I don't know a word in Japanese and if I'd go in Japan and it happen to listen people speaking for 2 hrs, guess what? All is gonna be very boring no matter what they re saying
Ok, go away now.
