And you come across an arcade game called “The amazing digital circus” (cant put it in “anime” type, lol) and this is what you see for the start up.

That could be an idea, in that era, it would be that pomni is some outcast that suddenly appeared into the world, not knowing who she is or what she has been through, and this being a first time in a world where she forgets her true self. And who knows, maybe the others had it through a lot as well. But it's an idea .
I remember watching this in G4 back in the day. They never showed the episodes in order so I never really knew what was going on. But I do remember loving the Pomni vs Mecha-Pomni season arc. It started off as a cute joke until Mecha-Pomni became self-aware and then things turned pretty dark. It's crazy how they changed Cane from the anime. Probably for the better. I can't believe they are remaking it now into a 3D version of it. Pretty damn cool. I hope they stay true to the Manga and some of the anime. Those filler episodes were a waste of time but some did have their moments.

This is one of those oldvhs shows you caught on tv precisely once during your child when you were either too young to form proper memories or in the middle of a fever.
