    Your children's knowledge of mechanical stuff, electrical, welding and all aspects of farming are unbelievable. It shows how important starting young and following mom, dad, uncle and cousins around pays off. Your girls know more in their early 20's than a lot of men twice their age. Impressive

    Welcome to the stage Richard, great to see another family member join the FFF Hall of Fame. Hope to see you again soon. Reversing down that cow barn with that tractor takes some skill. The truck body looks good Andy. Well done and thank you all.

    Andy, If you weld a heavy flat washer onto the broken stud and then set the nut on the flat washer and weld around the nut they will usually come out pretty easy without any additional heat . That is what we do in our machine shop works pretty well especially if it is sticking a little above or broken flush. Also KOPR-KOTE anti-seize makes your next day a lot easier . Thanks for the video's.

    looks like it is tractor version of a broken leg ! Not like you have not seen a wheel go south before ! The removal of bolts and rethread , I watched it done ...maybe two years back, this just sucks when you got so much underway and the season has not really kicked yet. Good that you are able to keep under control ! and in house. Good job.

    Be nice to see more of the family in the videos, great video as always, cant believe the 72200R is only just big enough for the mixer wagon, biggest tractor when ran the family farm was 110HP and that was only 25 years ago, now its up to 150HP, we only have small roads so that restricts the size, we have a maximum width of 7’6” for road vehicle

    Good work getting those bolts out Andy. I like to heat them red heat and walk away for a while. I usually come back with an air hammer and give them a good rattle with that and maybe a small sledge before I try to turn them out. Usually works well but there's always gotta be one that will fight to the end. My neighbor's tractor had the same problem as yours only his came completely off the axle. He pulls a lot of equipment with high tongue weight, so I presume that's the cause of these to break bolts. Seems to me Deere could have used a little larger bolts for the wedges.

      @nicklambing9268 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Over many more years than I have to admit to, I have found that heat cycles, sometimes many of them, usually get's it done. Have even utilized a heat gun to see if there were target heat cycles that worked best. The results fell in favor of just heat cycles alone. You don't want to over heat and literally burn the metal. Hot, cold, hot, cold cycles most often appeared to be the key. Don't give up and eventually you should get those suckers out. Just for what it's worth and what I have found worked for me. Andy; Where did you learn all the fabrication and welding skill's? My dads two younger brothers were both Navy Sea Bee's during the sixties (Vietnam). They were both life long journeymen fabricators, welders and master pipe fitters. The older brother even used some GI bill to attend MIT for metallurgy. Your skill set reminded me of my late Uncles.
