Very informative and well done! Thank you so very much. I’m just an old home gardener that’s going to give a couple rows of thornless blackberries a try. I feel much more confident after watching several videos from University of Arkansas. What a wonderful program you have. ❤
Noticed 2 or 3 days ago , yall introduced a newer variety ,that I had not heard about. CADDO, Dr. Clark did a short video about it I need several of those , where can I get them at. ?
Hi @Steve Hopkins, thanks for watching! The U of A System Division of Agriculture licenses Caddo blackberries to the following nurseries: Agri-Starts, North American Plants, Nourse Farms, and Indian Berry. You can find additional information about these nurseries here: www.uaex.edu/farm-ranch/crops-commercial-horticulture/horticulture/docs/UofA-Fruit-Patent-Licensed-Propagators.pdf Hope that helps--happy growing!
We don't actually sell these. We do have both cultivars growing at the station. We use them as standards to compare new primocane blackberries to. Both varieties are commercially available. If you are looking to buy plants we believe Nourse Farms carries both cultivars, and will take online orders. Likely there are other places these can be bought as well. You can contact your local county agent if you need some help getting exactly what you're looking for.
Hi Teija. This is a Ouachita variety of blackberry. You can find more about it by following this link: www.uaex.edu/farm-ranch/crops-commercial-horticulture/horticulture/Ouachita.pdf

Cleared up my misconceptions. Thanks.
Can you record a video on your trellis system? And where do you find those clips you attach to the wire? Thanks!!
