A lot of people are talking about the general safety concerns like don't hold your breath and nitrogen buildup, what people aren't talking about is the most dangerous part of this project even to someone who is certified, the bike pump, valves and canister are not made for breathing from, they release oil and particles in the air that comes out making it very dangerous, especially for repeated use.

What you're doing can be made somewhat safe/reliable with a few changes:
-Very unlikely that tank will hold 2,000 psi, and if it does you'll probably be super close to material failure and induce metal fatigue. I wouldn't go over 500. Also you need a regulating valve to step the output pressure down to

@@Cody_Films thats not true. Being shallow only eliminates the typical scuba dangers like lung overexpansion, narcosis, dcs. But there are other things to consider aswell. The Co2 dust inside the tank is able to kill you. If you didnt clean it, you dont know how much is inside. Plus the Air is not filtered. CO or other nasty gases can be inside. And if they are, they WILL kill you. And you wont notice it at all. Just fall asleep and never wake up.

so the reason the second stage reg was leaking to start was the needle valve only controls flow rate not pressure and as u had 200psi the second stage reg can only take about 120 psi max . so it would of leaked till the bottle pressure reached around 120 psi

Doing this will literally increase your risk of death by a factor which woud shock you.
There are veryu good reasons why you need to be acreddited to be a scuba diver.
There are many, many things that could cause you serious harm here, not to mention the toxic coatings of the internal cylinder, this would be te least of your worrries as whilst on a SCUBA DIVING PROFFESSIONAL course you learn that for example if you are at a depth of say 10 meters, take a breath and then surfice, your dead!
If you are at a depth below this and surfice without knowledge of how pressure effects the lungs, your dead.
If you are slightly off in your home made calculation and as water is uncompressable, if your highly pressurised rig fails at ANY depth, the shock wave will kill you, your dead.
If you attempt to use kit that is not fully tested and whilst at depth this kit fails, you guessed it, your dead.
I guess the take home point would be, if you value your life, for the love of all that is holy, do it the right way, yes it can be expensive however dives can be as little as £50 for some really good experiences that include tested kit as well as a trained master diver.
Dont look at videos lie these thinking you can save a few quid as remember what happens? Yeah, DEATH!!!!!!
This is an extremely dangerous video as it mentions not 1 of the multiple issues that can kill you before you can react, get the right kit and stay away from these videos, experienced divers have tragically died due to their kit malfunctioning or more commonly nitrogen narcossis.
He didnt tell you this did he!!!!!

Every single one of your points referred to issues related to diving at depth. I'm a certified diver and diving at 5 to 10 feet in a swimming pool is much, much different than diving at 30 meters and all that entails. So most of your concerns are not warranted here. The biggest safety issue with this set up are the valves and what would happen if they were to fail. However, even then, the regulator he purchased will open under failure like it is designed to do. I really don't think it is as dangerous as people are making it out to be. I remember well how much they scared the crap out of all of us during my scuba training so it is understandable how you are conflating the dangers of scuba diving with being in a pool at 5'.

An air compressor on amazon has about 30 minute air time..though is only 160psi with about 3 foot hose so if you add hose have to calculate the reduction in psi ...if 3 feet or deeper best to have 80 psi at least and for short periods..take breaks...

higher pressure can blow up your installaton if you do not do it right or if it i not sealed well, buy a professional scuba tank, they contain more space and more air, cost will be similar or slightly higher. You can even get an used one with certification. The key thing is to Invest in proper regulator for breathing. This is the most important ! investment and will work for you for years. You will feel more comfortable, more safe and you will be able to stay longer and deeper. Jackets (BCD) are extreamly cheap, get a used one, it will work fine too. Getting a full 250 Bar of scuba tank in some places are 5$ so it is noth worth your time with hand pump and with 250 bars you can stay for 2+ hours or more underwater on low deep.. Have fun, enjoy diving stay safe and invest in gear so you can enjoy time underwater more ;)

Man I give you a plus for ingenuity to make something like that work, but messing with those pressures, which those cylinders are NOT DESIGNED to take BTW! Look up Exploding “Scuba Cylinders” people have been killed by poorly checked tanks. A SCUBA cylinder has to be checked ONCE a year or VIP’d and pressure tested every 5 years. Put your ingenuity to better use.
