Zuckerberg wants to be Data _so bad_ but he lacks one of the main character traits that makes Data so special: his connection to and love for humanity. Data finds comfort in every little thing that brings him one step closer to humanity and thus his character develops from that. Zuckerberg just saw the android part and ran with it :/
They clearly didn't know exactly what "rules" Data was to go by during the first 2 seasons of Star Trek. The little smiles, the not-so-clear "does he feel, doesn't he feel?" character consistency, but he is really funny. And they really drew that line by Season 3, and it worked so well. There's something both adorable and cringy "uncanny valley" about watching Data trying to emulate humans but failing. Kudos to Spiner for pulling that off so well.
And being able to play multiple characters acting against each other (Data and Lore in the first time they met, and adding Dr Soong in another episode).
Data's small talk routine is my favorite Data interactions of all time. When he sits there and mimics Commander Hutchinson is absolutely hilarious and then when he puts those mannerisms into practice it's even more hilarious.
Oh my word. I was always so busy laughing at Data's adorably corny joke, I never noticed, but yeah, he was rather aggressive in that approach as Geordi backed away. The scene just got that much funnier!
I am in love with this edit- But I'd like a couple explanations. Mostly for the second one and the second to last one. When's that episode where he grabs Tasha then Wesley like that? Also, why is he smiling when he grabs Wesley? He's smiling, right?
Aw thanks, appreciate it. Sooo, where he grabs and throws Tasha like that, is from the episode "The Arsenal of Freedom (S1E20). But I literally have no idea, why he smiles like that in that other scene. Well, I guess since it's from the first ever episode (Encounter At Farpoint), they still had different ideas for Data's character, and maybe they just told him to smile. (Maybe out of pride for having inhuman strength?) But yea, he saves Wesley, so maybe he's just happy about that? Really, idk lol
@@nighttime8435 I'm honestly impressed that Brent Spiner can pull off such a sexy smile whether he's playing Lore or a corrupted Data. Or Data trying to be more human.
Always loved data .. and his naturenal and complex behavior..brent spiner is a wonderful actor...but honestly i also love lore because he is much more complex then data and his behavior towards humans is a mix of attractive and devil attitude...
0:16 That's Joachim from Wrath of Khan! And looking into it the guy who played David Marcus was in the episode as well. Apparently he was also on the Prometheus episode of Voyager as a Romulan.
0:52 "Ah, good, Data. At least you're functioning."
"Fully... Captain." 😏
XD
he is...fully functional
he has the look of a man who just got laid.
The most brent being brent in the first 2 or 3 seasons
- "There was young lady from Venus, whose body was shaped like a p-"
- "Captain to security!!"
sadly chatgpt refuses to complete that limerick.

Data: "...like a pinguinus"? 😏
Capitan: "red alert cancelled"
Data could have been the inspiration for Mark Zuckerberg but I would argue that Data has too much charisma to actually make that comparison
I’ve always thought that Zuck reminded me a lot of Loor.

zuck is an android
Way more humanity, too

It's even funnier when he meets the commander lol
Love him so much
Oh, me too! Brent was so handsome and sexy!
@@Elly3981He's my favorite actor, too He was hot when he was younger,, and he still is, regardless of his age!
WE STILL LOVE YOU BRENT SPINER!❤
I do too, I adore him!!
The Chinese finger-trap scene was gold😂😂😂 "Appologies Captain, ...I am, stuck..."
Relating to Data qualifies as an Autism diagnosis
source: me autistic
this is true and scientifically verifiable information
source: me also autistic
I relate to data a bit, not completely tho.
Source: me add
Same here.
"Ah- the *body Geordi discovered-"*
This one made me chuckle most. Just imagining what scenario Geordies 'found' a corpse, told data, and then data's blurted it out.
Data from seasons 1 and 2 was more human than the later seasons
They didn't know where to take Data's character in earlier seasons
Same can be said about Season 7 funnily enough. Spiner apparently said he had no idea what else to do with Data.
I love Data but I don’t like him in the early seasons. He seems too much like Lore.
He was still trying to get those human behavior emulation algorithms nailed down.
@@augustday9483 And yet, Data had been to StarFleet Academy for officer training, so must have had years to develop those algorithms.
I still like the days when Data had a worm farm. Then he talked about the time when the fencing around the farm broke. What happened next? Stampede.
God-awful smell of merengue…
If you look up the definition of adorkable, does Data come up?
Must be 🤔
the amount of times i've watched him stroll out of that turbolift is unhealthy
"But if I stroke my beard thusly...?"
This montage of Data just reinforces why he was my favorite character on TNG!
**data aggressively approaching geordi** *i woULD LIKE A PUND OF KIDDILIES PLEASE-
Oh my word. I was always so busy laughing at Data's adorably corny joke, I never noticed, but yeah, he was rather aggressive in that approach as Geordi backed away. The scene just got that much funnier!
Soong forgot that he left Thesaurus automatically open every time Data talks.
Only early data tho, he was very annoying with that
it's so wild to think that this version of brent doesn't exist anymore except in media.

honestly the smile seems like an attempt at human comfort

redundancy, or the unnecessary use of more than one word or phrase meaning the same thing.
Lol, I love this compilation! Brent can pull off such a sexy smile!
I derived great pleasure from this compilation

Yeah, I just love seeing how handsome and sexy Brent Spiner used to be.
how did riker lift data so easily 💀
i watch this to cheer up!
0:14 AND YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT'S NOT CILLIAN MURPHY!?
Data is what you call Funny, Hilarious, Comedic, Humorous, Ha Ha, Amusing, Hysterical, Able to make you laugh by over explaining things
Honestly, I would be more than happy to just let data ramble on.
This is perfect, I love data
0:47 😂 Was Data going to say “Fart”!?? I never noticed this scene before! And there’s Riker with a big grin 😂
Data shooting craps WILL NEVER not be funny😂
I love him so much 🥰 Brent Spiner is a national treasure 😁
Anything about Data is welcome information and entertainment.
2:03 the 'by any other name' reference XD
It is... It is green...
I like the scene in qpid where he gets shot by and arrow and kinda shrugs into his tunic to look at the arrow haha
this is so well done that I think I've developed a crush on you over the course of the video lol
Lmao, thanks! I'm flattered
What's funny is how accurate he is to actual simple AI.
Thank you, Mr Data.
1:40 Perfect transition!
Out of Context for Data is hilarious !
The greatest character ever written and portrayed
The Meme temperature is high
2 months later and I still laughed at this, totally forgot about it lol.
0:52 when he just saunters on the bridge 😂
damn just perfection
I want to see data's blooper reel where can i find it
There's a whole blooper reel of the TNG cast somewhere on youtube, I believe
put it in the search box and see what you find
0:03 As I have no context, I just assume that someone forgot to replace the chroma key with an actual background in post.
1:22 LOL
The music was a good choice
He’s mannerism remind me so much of American Psycho
When he says Fully, has he been with the security officer?
So funny. Data is wild.
Step captain, I'm stuck!
hey watch out there bud your cumbrain is leaking
was a young lady from venus
Dude looks like a robotic version of my dads brother.. its weird 🤣😂🤣
and people thinks Isaac from Orville is the best android
So much fun
No "Y'all must be mistaken"
I understand your concern, request denied.
He's so perfect❤
Yes he is!! Data is perfect and pure!
Which episode is 1:36 from?
Season 1 Episode 2 or 3 I think. The one where they all get drunk. Half the clips in this video are from it lol.
@@Jockster109 thank you😊
