Be careful on progesterone! My sister-in-law went one estrogen and got breast cancer, had both breast removed! This is documented now with the medical field!!
I'm a bit confused with your comment... you say to be careful with 'Progesterone', but then said that your sister-in-law went on 'Estrogen' and got breast cancer. Was it the progesterone or estrogen that caused the breast cancer? Progesterone hormone has not really been shown to cause breast cancer, but estrogen hormone surely has. Also, did she go on Bio-Identical estrogen hormone, or on the synthetic hormone sold from pharmaceutical companies? There is a big difference between these two forms of hormones. The synthetic hormone forms have been shown to increase the chances of developing cancer, heart attacks, blood clots, etc etc -not good. Although there could be a small chance of someone developing cancer from the use of Bio-Identical estrogen hormones, this chance is less, compared to the synthetic hormones. However, even with Bio-Identical estrogen hormone therapy, it is not suggested to use estrogen without progesterone, because progesterone counteracts the negative effects of estrogen dominance. Estrogen hormone use should always be balanced with progesterone. A good read on the topic of Bio-Identical hormones (where I got the info I'm sharing from), as opposed to the synthetic forms are books written by John R. Lee, MD... I would NEVER use synthetic forms of hormone therapy--there are simply too many negatives associated with these forms of hormones. Hope this info can help someone. Please refer to Dr. Lee's books for further info on this topic. P.s. this is not medical advice. Just sharing info I've learned 🙂
Ashley, I adore your honesty and the willingness to share what you have learned. You are also a very funny lady which is my favorite kind of people. I had a hysterectomy in my 40’s, never went on any hormones and I’ve always wondered what I might have missed. Well you have answered some of my questions. I know I missed the boat but you can’t go back. Most of what you talked about I’ve experienced, one of the biggest is insomnia and lots of weight gain. I’m 64 but it wasn’t that long ago I could sleep like a “normal person, not now, it’s more like a job lol. As far as weight gain. I’ve gained 100 lbs and now I’m trying to get them off so I can have back surgery and be successful post op. Thank you so much for being so honest and caring. Hopefully you will balance out again quickly.
I wanted to add something that a lot of people aren't aware of. Soy products can also mess with your hormones. It can make you weak in estrogen and men weak in testosterone.
THANK YOU for being so honest I’m 46 in July and I’m going through the exact same thing as you and I don’t know where to turn 😫 just ordered the hormone adjuster x
I would encourager you to get your a trusted doctor first. :) You can do more damage by taking a product before knowing what your body needs. I’m currently taking testosterone and progesterone .
Hi Ashley, God bess you for your honesty. I went through premature menopause at 38 due to stress. I'm now 47. I'm on HRT. It gives me a bit more buoyancy. However, I still struggle. I haven't had much energy either. God blessed me with a wonderful job this year which I have managed so far, fulfilling my dreams. It's good that you are onto it.
I admire your courage to talk about whatever you want to talk about❤remember to ignore the haters. But you'll get through this and things will get better because God is with you and all your subscribers or I call them fans because I am a fan and because of you I am reading the Bible cover to cover from Easter to Easter I'm giving myself a year to read the Bible thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ugh can’t lose weight to save my life. It has taken me from Nov 1 till now to lose 15 lbs. stuck at the sans weight since Christmas. So frustrated ready to give up.
@@TheFeltsFamily they didn’t check hormones. Going back at the end of the month. I will ask for that. Yes probably need to change something up! My exercise is mostly walking 5-7 miles per day. I need to start working with weights and for sure drink more water.
Thank you for this video. I have been struggling for quite a while. I am going to go to my gynecologist and talk with her. I really appreciate your honesty.
Thank you for talking about this topic. Ivam 50. I went to my OBGYNlast month for a regular check up and I broke down in tears as I was telling her, that I could cope with heavy periods, night sweats, joint aches etc, however I cannot cope with my thinning hair. I asked her for hormones level test and she told me that it is not necessary, that it is obvious all women my age have low estrogen. She was reluctant to get me on HRT and advised me some natural supplements. I have been taking them for a month with no improvement 😨 I am depressed.
Don’t be depressed there’s other options to look into my mother is completely bald she lost all of her hair when she was 50 but looking at her you’d never know . So don’t be sad just look into other things I promise you might be surprised at how many other alternatives there are
Girl GO find another doctor!!! That makes me mad. I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well. There are good doctors out there who will listen to you- go find you another one. ❤️
@@minniegaines1049 Thanks for giving me some hope. May I ask - your mom found some alternative cure or procedure or does she wear a wig? I am a bit puzzled as I often see older women with almost no hair so I am just thinking perhaps there is no cure for this besides HRT. I do not want to sound vein, it is just something I cannot get over so easily.
Sending with love ❤ from a mom on the other side - I encourage you girls to focus on sugar content ❤ and focus on stress - it took me a while to realise that insulin and cortisol push progesterone and oestrogen further out of balance - I was able to manage migraines , hot flashes, brain fog and reduced a fibroid size enough to avoid surgery and found i could literally turn symptoms on and off by cutting out sugar and trying to mange stress🌻
Ive been menopausal for ten years and praying that it ceases soon, the symptoms you describe almost ruined my career in my 40's, i retired in my 50's and am still symptomatic, i gained 4 stone. The gp brushed me off for years until one day i met a gp who listened and put me on hrt. Its really helped and im so glad that you finally got a libido 😂 i notice you have the arthritis bumps on your fingers, i wonder if you have had a low grade autoimmune problem for years
Thank you Ashley for sharing about this topic. I’ve stayed silent for years. The beauty of excess estrogen must yield beautiful hair and skin😍😍. I’ve been estrogen deficient for some time now and my skin and hair show it.
I am only a few years older than you. My gyn told me when you go for a solid year without getting your menstrual once. I believe that goes for anyone. You will be considered in menopause.

Same! My sister was taking estrogen and got breast cancer.
Progesterone will not cause cancer. It opposes estrogen and is very protective. Just make sure it is bioidentical.

" something's off" maybe its Stan?. He can be full on . Hard to take at times.
