    This gives me a lot of confidence in blind second despia. It’s something I’m picking up now that the cards are cheaper and that version can play a lot of the main deckable board breaking cards.

      @@JoshuaSchmidtYGO if you do make this vid I'd like to hear your thoughts on Iblee as a Splight side tech tbh, there are always gonna be a few decks that just can't play under it unless they draw exactly droplet, and since it's searchable they only have to play one copy + can prevent them from crashing it with dupe. But I'm not sure how well it'd fare in practice. Does pure tear run generic links that could out it?

    My order would be super poly( gets rid of the bodies and just by running 1 mudragon and 1 garura you almost ensure full matchups coverage)>DRNM (doesnt get rid of the bodies and doesnt allow you to go for game)>FORBIDDEN DROPLETS(requires natural deck sinergy with graveyard effects) > ULTIMATE SLAYER(requires too much of extradeck space to make it worth)>TTT (requires to have an overall good starting hand to make it worth)

      Ultimate Slayer is the best card for specifically outing Tearlaments and Spright. There's a lot of decks that can afford 2 extra deck slots as well. Versus Tear it bounces their best Fusion Monster and then pops field spell/Dragostapelia with N'tss, and Versus Spright it bounces Elf and then forces Toad negate with Sunny. I mean Triple Tactics is just insane in any deck that has a lot of starters/extenders (Spright, Swordsoul, etc.) and it's very versatile. Good going 2nd and it's basically Pot of Greed going first if they draw into ANY hand traps.

    4:47 just saying but among all decks drytron is one of those who fits perfectly with ultimate slayer, it already runs ntss and arc light as great targets to mill, preferes running big board breakers as opposed to handtraps.
    Also drytron plays really well with lava golem, and lava golem can answer most boards from splights and tearalaments (spright you tribute elf+toad, teara you can tribute redoer and dragostapelia).
    I think that lava golem is so good I might even try to make some side board patterns to play it with mathmech! Ofc normal summoning diameter is amazing for mathmech, but if you run cards like small world to consistently find circular immediately (and some extra extenders like parallel exceed, which funnily enough is a small world bridge to either get him from any cyberse using parallel, lvl 8, or you can use him to reveal parallel and then get any mathmech) I think the deck can play without a normal summon fairly well if it opens lava golem

    Personally I love DRNM and Evenly Matched.
    Currently siding both for going second and max out 3 of each. Ideally DRNM blanket negates their monsters then go in with Evenly to clear off the field.
    The only reason I don’t main deck DRNM is because I don’t know if my opponent is playing Splight until after game one but I do main deck some hand traps (Ash, D.D. Crow, Effect Veiler) just in case I lose the dice roll and end up going second so I have some form of interruption if I’m going second.

    Alpha should be really good in tri-brigade, especially now that the spright and scareclaw variants are available, as you can both bounce multiple cards with it's effect since you natively run a bunch of tri-types, and it also serves as an extender both on field with it's non hard once per turn summoning condition and by returning itself to hand can be discarded with kerass and bearbrumme.

  • @nickyingling6438

    I feel like the main reason for ocg playing alpha is because they have union carrier buster lock. It attacks over the monster equipped with buster then can also trade for other negates. Over here I dont see it being very good rn

    Floo and Drytron absolutely adore Ultimate Slayer, Synchrons beware the Drytron.
    I like the dynamic that Garura brings with Super Poly and Pank, now what I don't like is, making an objectively correct board against Despia in Chaofeng, Chixiao + a 10 Synchro, and watching them super poly me.

    ultimate slay is only for going second decks, same as lightning storm imo. Plus you need to have the space in your main deck, extra deck and side deck to send the perfect target to use its effect at all. Since you dont know which deck you face maining this card means to play at least 3 cards in your extra and main deck (if you run evil twin its 4 in main) just to make good use of one removel. Kinda sure this will be not a staple....

    • @JoshuaSchmidtYGO
      @JoshuaSchmidtYGO  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      good points, however I do think a lot of players are going to side the card anyways and try to fit the stuff in the Extra, so the possibility to main it will be there, of course not every deck can though

    Man i'd hate for Super Poly to get the banhammer, which it 100% will get with Garura in the format. My first decent deck i've ever played was Shaddoll and when that deck was good it was always fun to get off a Super Poly. But if it needs to go, it needs to go.

    Cards that are better doesn’t mean that other cards are automatically bad. Kaijus def have their place. It does directly counter winda, takes care of towers like marincess and arrival, and other rouge stuff like the wind statue. Its even better when you pair it with other cards like evenly or lightning storm. At the very least, its experimental for the simple fact that it cant really be negated, esp when you dont want to have bait a negate. Also, out of the 3 decks i play, im only playing it in 1 deck..

    • @MsMiDC
      @MsMiDC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eh, if there are a lot of monsters on field a Kaiju just gets exponentially worse. I dont know how the end boards of the new decks look like, but if you have 3 cards that do something, getting rid of 1 with a -1 is kinda trash.
