@@halfmanhalftripod9488 And what you've given us can never be repaid. Thank you, thank you, thank you for having the foresight to film this great show.
Thanks for posting this! I've never seen them live before. I was a big bauhaus fan in the late '80s (I liked them that much I even got the tattoo) and subsequently ended up (begrudgingly) getting into Tones On Tail. One of my favourite songs of theirs. That and Lions. And Rain. And Movement Of Fear etc.
I saw Killing Joke in 1984 at the East Side Club in Philly. ToT came to town a few weeks later and I somehow lost my fake ID. Never got in to see them.
Thanks for posting these Glenn.....amazing stuff. I was there that night. I still remember the backdrop of the ghost/nostrils dripping as I was on aceeed at the time.
......getting better all the time....audio edit mix suits my Beyers perfect ...... you've all gotta hook up to decent headphones or better still a surround sound system to appreciate this band and thanks to Glodge for the mix.......
Damn. Ah, if you've read my comment, -just posted on the vid for Happiness: this must be true, that though this specific gig we're watching had-to end at some point; but that dosn't necessarilly mean that you tossed the camera... There has got-to-be more footage. ;) -Fellow Photog
It wasn't played on the UK tour, just the US tour. But here's a treat for you from the October 12, 1984 Music Machine show in L.A.... th-cam.com/video/JsgEI726Vco/w-d-xo.html
@@lonestationcreation6282 Hey. I don't know if you could give insight. I have a feeling that the song here was created by way of workshop. I suddenly noticed the camera kept zooming-in on Kev during the chorus. For my own reasons, I think it could be a testament to anxiety for Kevin?
This song was like a fusion of Bauhaus ,Siouxsie and the Banshees,The Glove ,The Cure, all the way back to Donna Summer ,I feel Love ,was the very first synth pop song, whether you like it or not. This song was techno-pop with a touch of what we called back in the 80's; Death Rock, not stupid gothic rock
I played this record over and over and over again in my room under the roof in the Eighties
Every time I blast this record on the home stereo my wife yells at me. So worth it!
haha , yes ,just like me 😅
I wish I could listen to this song for the first time again...
One of my favorite ever Tones Songs Dark atmosphere Cool Synth.....Butifull

I loved playing this cassette in my 82 GT on my way to work back in the day
Growl of a 302 drowned out by ToT to start the day

It's like a delicious sandwich. Tasty bits at the front and rear, and the beef in the middle. Love the mirror image video effect. A nice touch.

I'm loving the footage from this gig. Unfortunately, Kevin's drums are somewhat buried, in this performance; no pun.
i miss these kind a nights
smelly basements and distortions
smelly people who had some to say, fight and play
and beer
love from rotterdamn man
thanks
que grosos! Daniel por siempre
So awesome to see especially since they never went on tour
They toured the UK and the US.
I'm dying to see their cover of "Heartbreak Hotel"; I prefer it to the studio version.
Sorry - I don't have it on video
Damn.

Alguien tiene mas registros en vivo??
So the audience wasn't the best one so far? Who was, then? Since Kevin was playing nice... haha
Don't think you heard it right. It WAS the best audience. '***kin marvellous' says Kevin
Oh - I thought the "Big Fibber" alert was about that comment. Maybe it was in reference to the things going wrong, then?
