Hi I just wanted to make a correction about the video that is misleading. The law is that you can work for a maximum of 40 hours per fortnight (fortnight=2 weeks). It doesn't matter if you work for 30 hours in week 1, and 10 hours in week 2. Or 40 hours in week 1 and 0 hours in week 2. Its still legal as long as you don't go above 40 hours in 2 weeks. In the video you said its illegal to work 30 hours in one week, but actually, it IS legal. Great video by the way :)

Unfortunately the tuition fee for my studies are expensive as hell. Over 40k AUD per year, as you said, if I am lucky i can get a job with 3000 AUD wage monthly. Now here's the calculation: 3.625 AUD (monthly tuition fee) + 1.400 AUD (monthly for accomodation, groceries, phone, MYKI pass, and other expanses) = 5k AUD monthly... Is there a way to get scholarships at Monash University as international student easily? If I work one year in Australia during my work and travel year, can I save enough money to pay all that? What jobs can you recommend during a work and travel year to save money for studies?

I think you painted the working life scenarios a bit too colourful for this video. There are some hurdles that you didn't mention. 1 is that employers may not hire internationals because they are not used to dealing with internationals or there customers aren't. 2 is that most international students, at least those from Asia, may lack job experience due to being made to study all the time by their parents, hence they won't get hired. Lastly 3, is that you didn't mention that, in legit jobs at least, wages are taxed. You can get them back via tax return but students may not know that. Therefore the minimum wage monthly salary you mentioned in your salary overestimates the amount the students will actually get to spend.

Some times i am forced to fast because i have no money and nothing to eat. I am muslim by religion but we have no choice other then going to Gurudwara and mandirs to get free food called langar/parshat. For some reason, Mosques here doesnt offer any free food, not even for needy and students. Guys, if you are reading this and planning to come here for study, trust me, its not easy to find any student jobs here. Its tough struggle and hell, if you doesnt have any money saved or good financial backgroud. Please do some research before making any plans. Life is not easy here.

im a local but it was legal for me to work at 14...
and also at 14 and 9 months people can work and they can also work at 13... it depends.
