So a young politician doesn't have experiences with real world family struggles, yet Tory millionaires who have never been poor do? What a total clown Mercer is.
I'd rather a young willing mp than a fossil like Edward leigh etc. As for the inbetweeners name... anyone looked at Sunak and Will?
@@tao6085😂😂 you can be skint and go to Oxford
Referencing 'The Inbetweeners' was hilarious. Her, saying 'it was rude' is juist ridiculous when you see the constant, obsessive hatred towards others with the neo-left. You look like a hypocrite.

Honestly a Tory calling a Labour mp a robot spouting the party line is just insane, so much brain rotting going on in the country and world right now. Just so sad to see and pathetic

Mercer is such an intellectual lightweight. How many Tories are parachuted into safe seats they have no connection with? How many Tories trot out the Party line? He's really full of it. Was Captain the best you could do in ten years, Johnny?
Officer Complex shows strongly in JM.
🫡
The best part is that Kier Mather, as it happens, does have a connection to Selby and Ainsty. He bloody well grew up there.
What, exactly, on the other hand is Johnny’s connection to Plymouth Moore View?
Because Johnny, from what I can see, grew up in Dartford and lives out in Bodmin Moore, a good hour’s drive away from his constituency.

'People have had enough of (young/inexperienced) MPs who just relay lines...they want MPs who have worked in the constituency and understand what life is like'. Small problem with JM's analysis. 'People' have just voted for exactly the sort of MP he claims they don't want, and overturned a huge majority in doing so.
Sunak looks on the verge of a nervous breakdown in that clip. Imagine trying to interview someone who is staring at you with those manic eyes and making those weird thrusting movements every 2 seconds. I'd be asking for a Stab vest

The great thing about the Tories is that you can totally rely on them to admit nothing is wrong until it's too late. They create their own undoing. No-one has to do anything.
i LOVE watching Tories lose. It brightens my day, it butters my crumpet and sweetens my teacup, it puts the song of joy in my heart and the spring in my step. If i could watch the Tories lose on TV forever, I'd cancel my Netflix and Disney subscriptions
Tory total delusion especially sunak
I can’t understand how the Tories leader is smiling when his party took a massive beating in the
by_elections. Ok they held on to Johnson’s seat but only by the shortest of margins, which they will
most likely lose at the next general election. In the other two they were massively defeated, the
Tories are kidding themselves but they aren’t kidding the public. They have no ideas how to fix the
problems that they themselves have created with their idiotic political policies, they are out of ideas, out of touch and hopefully will soon be out of office.
Their motto whilst in Government seems to have become "Too little, too late."
Tories know their finished, just a continuation of the smash and grab raid for their friends in big business and donors
Exactly. It's no longer about running the country, it's about squeezing as much cash from us as possible before leaving the Commons filthy rich.
You are so right.
The Tories are out of ideas, out of touch and soon hopefully out of office.
Hearing a tory politician use the word empati after 13+ years austerity its rather ironic
It's a word that doesn't exist in my vocabulary and never has.
"It was a mixed set of results. It's not representative of the country. We can take positives from this. Labour/Lib didn't win, we lost"
Times up Sunak.
Johnny Mercer moaning about the quality of MPs is laughable
ULEZ is 100% a Conservative policy, introduced by the MP for the very same constituency when Mayor and extended across London by Rishi Sunak and Grant Shapps.
It's also hugely popular in London despite what these loon would have us believe.
DAMN RIGHT! Boris originally came up with the idea of ULEZ and now he has something bad to say about it? At this point, it's either ULEZ gets expanded or there won't be any funding for public transport at all, which most Londoners use every day.

Classic man of the people crisp white shirt suit trousers and sleeves rolled up. I bet Sunak spends lots of time in a greasy spoon......

A bit underwhelming really.
But they are absolutely right in calling the Tories a bunch of clowns.
Honestly, between Sunak lying and dodging in PMQs, Nadine Dorries behaving like a drunk, bitter divorcee, 30p Lee advocating the stoking up of the culture wars because they've nothing left and anything whatsoever to do with Fabricant and Rees-Mogg, it's like something straight out of The Day Today or Brass Eye.
Sunak: "Losing shows that our plan is working", great news for the other parties!
Sunak out and about this morning doing his arm-swinging monkey act as he appears overjoyed his party retained the safe seat of Uxbridge.
It occurs to me that his contempt for the intelligence of the average voter is without limits. But polling suggests, and these elections prove, this man is an election liability beyond measure. May he stay there to the end. Personally amounting enormous wealth is fine for the privileged few, but it sure isolates a naive politician from the reality of day to day life.
GB News are spinning it as a Labour loss and a Conservative gain. They held onto a safe seat.
Rishi, the people of Uxbridge gave the Tory a majority of 452, in Labour's 1997 rout of the Tory party Uxbridge elected a tory MP with a majority of over 3,500. This clearly shows every tory MP needs to be concerned that their seat is under threat at the next election. Smiling manically and trying to spin a result that saw you lose 2 safe seats (and very nearly a 3rd, only 250 people had to have voted Labour instead of Conservative, for them to win it, )this is in a seat that has only ever elected a Conservative...
You're out of ideas, out of luck, out of touch and will soon be out of power.

Tory critiquing the quality of MPs in tjis country. Zero self-awareness and a total lack of a sense of irony there. :D
Rishi Sunak would make a good Halloween costume. His face is stuck at smile no matter how dire the situation is. Creepy guy.
I'll take an idealistic 25 year old who has a moment to listen to real people's lives over a career Tory who literally doesn't care what happens in the real world every time.
To be honest, this time around I could have put a red rosette on the dog and she would have won.
I mean, the Tories only retained Uxbridge due to stirring up concerns about Sadiq Kahn expanding ULEZ, which was a Tory policy in the first place!
British politics has become a parody of itself.
Strange how the Tories whinge about pacts against them, but were happy to have a pact with the Brexit Party at the last GE.
There was no pact at all with the brexit party, infact here in the red wall the seat I live in was won by Labour, had the brexit party not stood it'll have been another conservative victory.
Christ that was a lessen in desperation.
Johnny "put a chip in it" Mercer (as he must henceforth be known) repeating himself about how young Labour MPs are just repeating themselves was a particular highlight there.
The Lib Dem canon was a bit shit. Promised a lot, but ended in a damp squib. So just like them really (well done though, good result on the night, tactical voting for them will be needed in the GE, but still...)
Sunak looked a scared teenager having their first real party, bigger boys have turned up but he's pretending everything's fine.
Angela Rayner was a joyful breath of fresh air, as ever 💕
Hahaha he hasn't lived life. Well the last MP for Selby voted against making homes fit for human habitation.
This young man will know what faces people of his own age. Great to see

The fact that Labour only won one seat is also very significant.

Really wish they'd hammered the tory for the inbetweeners comparison. The implication isn't inexperience and we all know that but they should have made him admit it and own it or walk it back.
In a nutshell, they know the next Election is lost and the barrel scraping is close to reaching complete emptiness.

Mercer's point about appointing an MP with little life experience, who doesn't understand the local issues reminds me of Boris Johnson being parachuted into Uxbridge but who never did a days work there as he was too busy with being Foreign Secretary and then PM before we got wise to the lies he was pedalling

I'd really like to know what planet Greg Hands is on, in interviews he is claiming the result somehow indicate 'people don't like labour in Government' and the loses where caused by Tories staying at home. I don't know how he can hold those two ideas simultaneously since wiping out a 20,000 majority is a strange way of showing distrust.
