No issues at all. Used it for almost 9 hours in one go on my last trip and no impact to battery. For reference, my battery is two years old. You can check my latest video - 1163 kms in 34 hours to understand better how it worked.
It's still as good as new. The only thing that I changed is the yellow lense cover as over time and wiping clean the lense caused scratches on the yellow lense.

My answer would depend on your usage. Do you plan to do a lot of night riding on highways and hills? Or city use?

In that case I would recommend the mini drive from HJG. It would go with the looks of your bikes as well as it's not too big and the light is good!
