Jesus used easy to understand plain and simple language at the Bread of Life Discourse and then again at the Last Supper about the Eucharist. Jesus talked about those who walked away because it was a hard saying. Jesus spoke about Judas twice who also walked away and betrayed him. Now it’s our separated brothers and sisters who walk away with Judas and the others. Thank you father.

I don't mean to be critical , these are good teachings. But it bothers me a little that Father Wang calls the holy Eucharist "one of the hallmarks of our faith"? It is central to our faith! First!

I've often wondered about Jesus saying if "you eat of my body and drink of my blood you will have eternal life". Does that mean that those who do not believe in the real presence will not go to heaven? And he will not raise them up on the last day?

Excellet exposition , I wish however Fr Stephen had said something about the correct way to take the blessed sacrament which is on the tongue not in the had which is an entirely Protestant habit which Cranmer introduced to try to make the Eucharist a meal not a sacrament but which Vatican ii accepted to 'accommodate ' and encourage protestants. The reality has been a severe decline in the number of people believing in transubstantiation.

The jewish passover is not of a round wafer. Its a lamb offering, the bread of Life is the communal meal. As Jesus prayed in gospel of john chapter 17.

By their fruits they are known. Christ in you. External reality so jesus was not like us seems you deny his flesh and blood . Modern day Docetism. The brass serpent when looked on healed those bitten by fiery serpents. It became a Idol just like the Eucharist.

Blasphemy for calling God an idol!

@@bhs3871 the Eucharist round wafer is a Idol. Like the brass serpent. God is Spirit, and those who worship him i n Spirit and truth. Jesus made it plain in Matthew 16v17. Flesh and blood did not reveal him ( his physical appearance). But my Father in heaven has revealed it. Simple enough.again in john 6v63. Same, the flesh profiteth nothing ,its the Spirit that quickeneth .

@@frederickanderson1860 The earliest Christian authorities from the first centuries affirmed this truth. You have Ignatius who was a disciple of John himself who wrote letters to the early Church upholding this sacred truth. And in fact, the majority of Christians to this day worldwide accept it just as we have throughout these 2,000 years. It's just a few you illegitimate sects who deny the Truth. We are even told by the earliest Christian authorities that those who deny the Eucharist are cursed. Again, this is something known by most Christians around the world. Woe to you for denying Christ in the Holy Eucharist!

@@bhs3871 not so the church fathers are not the apostles. If they dont speak according to the law and prophet's as Jesus spoke, its not reliable witness. The 2 most unreliable forged documents are the donation of Constantine & liber pontificalis. Examine especially the Donation and its was revealed ti be a forgery. No other churches am sure in Christendom has used such deception in gaining worldly power. Read Galatians chapter 1v8, about those who are cursed, its not about the Eucharist. The Jewish Passover symbols are not same as the church fathers, they were influenced by Greek metaphysics aristolean syllogisms and platonic logic you just a reactionary, you dont dig deep enough to discover gold, amongst the dirt of historical facts.

@@frederickanderson1860 An anti-Christ denying the Church Fathers, some who were direct disciples of the apostles. How much more anti-Christian can you be for also now going against the roots of the apostolic Church? First, the Eucharist. Then the earliest authorities of the Church. Your apostate retrograde keeps going downward with each thing you say. If you reject the sound doctrine of the Holy Church, it is easy for you to be in the hands of Satan as our Lord warned many would be. Away with you heretical spawn of the devil.

I'll make this short. Scripture says no man has ever seen God, no man CAN see God. Scripture also says no man has seen God and lived. You figure it out. I guess this means this that Jesus wasn't speaking in the literal sense. More importantly it makes the eucharist as Catholics believe it, a false doctrine.
So I don't know who Catholics think they are seeing, but it's not the Almighty. I think it's just hallucinating.

    • @bhs3871

Jesus is God. Thousands of people saw Jesus in the flesh when He was on earth, especially after the Resurrection.
You false heretical sects have always been cut off from communion with the Holy Church for a reason. Will be praying for your conversion.

@@bhs3871 yes thousands did see Jesus in the flesh when he walked the earth. Then he ascended to the right hand of the Father. He doesn't come every day as the Hocus pocus eucharist claims. Why is the return of Jesus called "the second coming" and not the daily coming. Scripture says EVERY eye will see him in the clouds. The eucharist is not the clouds. Scripture says that of that day of his return , no one knows. Not Jesus, not the angels of heaven, just God. But yet you heretics claim you see him everyday? Let me enlighten you on what scripture says. Of course it won't mean nothing to you because you are FORCED to believe what your church teaches or you are damned to hell. John 1:18, "NO MAN hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son". Then 1 Timothy 6:16, "Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which NO MAN can approach unto; whom NO MAN hath seen, nor CAN SEE". Have you ever read the account of Moses encounter with God? Scripture says he was afraid to even look up to see the glory of God. So afraid, scripture says that he trembled. I can give you more scriptures that expose the catholic eucharist as nothing but a hocus pocus hoax. Just like paying for indulgences. Paying for something the church knows is not true and can't deliver.

Even the earliest Church authorities spoke extremely strong about doomed souls of Satan like yourselves.

Quote from St. Thomas Aquinas: "To one who has faith no explanation is necessary." "To one without faith, no explanation is possible."
