I appreciate that you are trying to keep everybody sane!! It’s 2023 now and I’m a total beginner to art. Really enjoying all these videos and learning a lot!
Love your channel Eric. And Bill Davidson has changed my world. I began painting in 2019 and I’m retired so I want to learn faster. When Bill showed the tonal grayscale painting saving time to tone color- Wow!Hope you make it back to Saranac Lake. I live in The Adirondacks. Thanks again!
It's a grand video, but I wanted to say thank you to Eric Rhoades first. I started to watch this program just a few days ago and I'm amazed how Eric is hosting, how he is moving painters to show their best, how he's helping us, watchers understand the subject. He doesn't show up in his professionalism, but you can see how he's educated polite, and kind. No offense to Bill, I love watching his videos and left another comment for him. Thank you both!
Bill ....... I Had Bonnie Flood from Atlanta come to my home in Pawleys Island to give a workshop to some of my artist friends. I had never painted before but was having them come to my home to learn under Bonnie and to get together a workshop for Bonnie , hoping she would stay with me for extra time to relax and restore sort of a vacation for her. She came and did workshop Sept !4th 15th and 16th. She would not take no for an answer from me to learn to paint She explained passion and wanting to paint was the important thing. So i joined in the workshop. It was. Set up on y back porch overlooking marsh at Pawleys. Told her I had an egret who visited me early every morning when i cam out on my porch I wanted to be able tp paint that scene. So i started with her help and actually produced a painting. Not the best of course 😂😂 but my egret ! She stayed on with me and i asked her a million questions on how to start One of her tips was to go online and study tutorials and she suggested you who had been a lawyer and how you went on your journey to paint. I looked on u tube and found you among others but you were my favorite. I loved your video on simplification. Watched you each day and now today just received my paints that i ordered and now can put paint on canvas the first time by myself without Bonnie. Then opted i pad and this video was airing. So had to stop and listen to you. Then a friend texted me that she saw you were having a workshop in Pawleys Island this October 31st -Nov 5th. I don”t think things happen by mere coincidence and everything keeps pointing me towards you. I know i would not be qualified to be a student in your workshop yet but can hope to be in one in the future. I have a home here that has a gorgeous view of the Marsh all the way from Litchfield Beach to Pawleys Island that has spectacular sunsets. It is about 45 feet up with panoramic view. If when you are here and would like to see and take photos, or just enjoy a drink and watch the sunset i would love to invite you to come over. Don’t know if you even read these comments or not but if you do please let me know you got this comment . Hope to get a comment from .
Just added a sticky note to my easel... "Don't forget to play and take a few risks." - Bill Davidson. Eric, I appreciate your gift to us. Keeping it calm and healthy.
Hello Bill and Eric, I’m from Cape Cod Massachusetts and I’m really enjoying watching Bill and many other artists on your program! It’s so informative and inspiring. I would like to get some of the videos that I’ve seen. I’m mostly a landscape and seascape watercolor painter. Do you ever have any seminars on the East Coast? Please let me know if you do. Thank you for shining light on my day!
