Personally, the song itself felt quite deep. Not being brave enough to make that step but neither to brave enough to end everything. Not unlucky enough but neither lucky enough. Watching everything lead to an unwanted ending but not doing anything to stop it. Stuck between decisions and wonder if this is just the way that was meant to be. Enduring everything and understanding that life is just like this but still hoping for a better ending. Be the person you choose to be and the way you choose to succeed, life is too short to grief.

The meaning of this song, it's too personal. It is exactly what i'm going through. As for the solution.... i don't have it. There is so much i could do, but would it ultimately be worth it at all? I could do one thing, but what is to say that the other isn't better? I could do the most practical thing and commit myself to the job of my choosing, but wouldn't i then loose what makes me me, a person more so than a biological machine? I could commit to doing what i like, but wouldn't that leave me utterly useless? I could commit to an artform for self expression, but wouldn't i then be the same as so many others, enjoyed, but ultimately not remembered? What is the right path to choose? How do i know that it will fulfill me? I don't know....

However, something I wanted to say is that life itself does not have a purpose, but instead, the one who is living it creates the purpose. No one can be forever remembered and when someone passes away, their life, whether meaningful or not, whether the choices were correct or not, can be put into simple words (e.g. "They dropped out of college and worked at a barbers shop, married at 25 and passed away two years ago, what a pity"). You yourself will have to be the one to know the exciting story behind the plain words. Just like no one will be remembered forever, neither their choices being right or wrong will be remembered. The point of life is that you never know what happens and everything is random or unexpected, it would be very boring and painful if you knew the ending to everything, wouldn't it? Nothing is completely right or wrong and if you did what you could, that is enough. We all know that death is the ending then why not try to plot your own story before it happens? This world will be full of hope one day and I wish the very best to you being the novelist of your own life.

However, after that, due to heavy academic workload and life pressures, I gave up on vocal training. I abandoned my dream of pursuing singing. Although now I have grown up and have a job, I never thought I would start singing again before I met you. You've always encouraged everyone to give singing a try and not to give up on it. So, I gathered the courage to pick up my dream again. Even though I don't seem to have much talent in singing, I still feel happy when I sing. Thank you so much for everything you've done for me. The fact that Ike himself was behind every step of the making of the song makes it one of the most impressive pieces of work I've ever heard from a VTuber...and the overall quality makes it the most impressive thing I've ever heard from any solo artist in recent memory. And I won't even mention the fact that I myself have been through the songwriting process more than 300 times over a span of more than 8 years, yet all of the products of every repetition of that cycle combined don't even hold a candle to this.

Personally, the song itself felt quite deep. Not being brave enough to make that step but neither to brave enough to end everything. Not unlucky enough but neither lucky enough. Watching everything lead to an unwanted ending but not doing anything to stop it. Stuck between decisions and wonder if this is just the way that was meant to be. Enduring everything and understanding that life is just like this but still hoping for a better ending.

The meaning of this song, it's too personal. It is exactly what i'm going through. As for the solution.... i don't have it. There is so much i could do, but would it ultimately be worth it at all? I could do one thing, but what is to say that the other isn't better? I could do the most practical thing and commit myself to the job of my choosing, but wouldn't i then loose what makes me me, a person more so than a biological machine? I could commit to doing what i like, but wouldn't that leave me utterly useless? I could commit to an artform for self expression, but wouldn't i then be the same as so many others, enjoyed, but ultimately not remembered? What is the right path to choose? How do i know that it will fulfill me? I don't know....

However, something I wanted to say is that life itself does not have a purpose, but instead, the one who is living it creates the purpose. No one can be forever remembered and when someone passes away, their life, whether meaningful or not, whether the choices were correct or not, can be put into simple words (e.g. "They dropped out of college and worked at a barbers shop, married at 25 and passed away two years ago, what a pity"). You yourself will have to be the one to know the exciting story behind the plain words. Just like no one will be remembered forever, neither their choices being right or wrong will be remembered. The point of life is that you never know what happens and everything is random or unexpected, it would be very boring and painful if you knew the ending to everything, wouldn't it? Nothing is completely right or wrong and if you did what you could, that is enough. We all know that death is the ending then why not try to plot your own story before it happens? This world will be full of hope one day and I wish the very best to you being the novelist of your own life.

Hi ike, I just wanted to let you know that because of you, I've restarted taking vocal lessons. Back when I was in school, I used to study vocal music because I loved singing so much. However, after that, due to heavy academic workload and life pressures, I gave up on vocal training. I abandoned my dream of pursuing singing.
Although now I have grown up and have a job, I never thought I would start singing again before I met you. You've always encouraged everyone to give singing a try and not to give up on it. So, I gathered the courage to pick up my dream again.
Even though I don't seem to have much talent in singing, I still feel happy when I sing.

Jesus, Ike. These lyrics are grabbing my soul, yanking at it, forcing me to look at myself. Just like a mirror. It's been a while since a song has touched me so deep inside.
The fact that Ike himself was behind every step of the making of the song makes it one of the most impressive pieces of work I've ever heard from a VTuber...and the overall quality makes it the most impressive thing I've ever heard from any solo artist in recent memory.
And I won't even mention the fact that I myself have been through the songwriting process more than 300 times over a span of more than 8 years, yet all of the products of every repetition of that cycle combined don't even hold a candle to this.
Also I wonder if Ike perhaps took any inspiration from the Architects--it didn't take long for me to draw parallels in my mind between this song and their song "Death Is Not Defeat"

I tried singing this song today, and my throat didn't die, but that's besides the point. Ike, you were the one that gave me courage to do my first metal song, which is this one. My gratitude for that is immeasurable, and the video kind of sucks in the metal parts, since the ending parts of the metal go on for a lot longer. Now this isn't about me, but you. Thank you for giving this song to all of your fans Ike, it truly is a pleasure to our voice, ears, and eyes.

I needed a lot of time to let this song sink in because it plunged my mental state into a dark place. Like a painfully slow, inevitable caress, guiding my line of sight to look straight at the horrifyingly endless void deep inside me. I never acknowledged it, in hopes of "faking it until I make it". Instead, it's...a fate so cruelly prolonged. That lyric hit me very hard.
Even it makes my heart sink every time, I can't help listening. Despite the dark meaning, your songs always put up a fight despite the odds. Always. Please keep fighting. I know you keep saying lyrics are not where your strength lies, but the INCREDIBLE attention to detail cannot escape my ears. How you make the piano sound like a cry in a big empty room. I am scared to say anything more because I am not good in music but there is so much more.

Whatever, I'd like to tell you I still feel that way sometimes, but even that you still manage to make me smile, laugh and have good moments. Sometimes I just listen to songs from your first karaoke, and I feel better because your voice transmits me warmth and calms me down (screams too, I sleep listening to metalcore so...).
