They were all killed or removed off the family tree because they weren’t evil or didn’t do what their family had told them. They were a beautifully broken family. And their story is so complex, this family is beautiful.

Before the wars, the Black Family was large: a patriarch and matriarch, multiple children who were married and had children of their own... After the wars, the only two left were Andromeda and Narcissa, one who was cast out and the other who became a Malfoy. The Wizarding Wars truly did destroy pureblood family lines (a brilliant ode to the gentility and aristocracy being decimated by WWI).
Sis! I am dying for a political intrigue Harry Potter universe series. Or even an aristocracy one similar to GOT(make it better tho lol), or even a thriller/psyhcological thriller. There is so much potential with this universe.

I honestly wanted to see Narcissa and Andromeda reconcile after voldemorts defeat. Maybe out of character but I really think they would've done each other some good.
Things J.K.Rowling should do: 1.Write a whole series about the pureblood families and how they came to power, pureblood politics etc 2.Write a series about the marauders growing up 3.Write short stories on some side characters (Kingsley Shacklebolt, Marlene Mckinnon, Dorcas Meadows, Charlie Weasley, Madame Maxime, Professors Sprout, Flitwick ) 4. Stories on the first wizarding war, Voldemort's rise to power, Tom's time at the orphanage...
Andromeda in the end was the most unlucky. She lost her family, her husband and her only child too. Bellatrix was her own undoing, so no surprise there . Narcissa was rewarded for one single act of goodness (not sure if this is the right word) and got out from the war unscathed.
Narcissa Black had a magical book of all her family members. When a child was born, it would appear in the book, if a person died, a flower would grow in their place. Even the ones who were disowned, because deep down, to Cissa, they were still family. This is how she learnt of both her cousin's death, her niece's death, and she watched her Sister die. Everytime a flower would appear, Cissa would share a quiet tear...
I love this video!! People always say that the Malfoys, Blacks, and other purebloods are irrational in their obsession with family legacy, but in a twisted sense I understand why they are. Ironic that after the war their family legacy is now forever tainted. They will always be remembered as bigots, rightfully deserved.

Sirius was such a meaningful character with such an interesting history and I’m so upset he didn’t get as much screen time and just enough attention in total. His family was so complicated and so stuck to pure blood rules, the only people who ever challenged those rules were Sirius and Andromeda. Sirius was the only Black to ever be in Gryffindor let alone another house besides Slytherin and Andromeda married a half blood from another house. Sirius disobeying his family isn’t just being a rebel but idk it’s really touching and though provoking.

Wow. We begin with Andromeda, and Bellatrix. Then Pollux berating Sirius for acting out, Alphard telling Walburga that Cygnus is her brother as well. Orion smoking. Irma's corpse playing a piano, Pollux speaking to Alphard about family legacy, shouting at Walburga, disowning Alphard. Sirius telling Regulus how tired he is, and Reg's twitching expression of indignation. Orion and Walburga disowning Sirius. Alphard giving Sirius money. Cygnus calling Andromeda a spoiled child. Druella speaking of sacrifices of their pure blood. Andromeda getting disowned by Bellatrix and Druella. Bellatrix and Rodolphus. Bellatrix and her cousin, Regulus, both Death Eaters. Regulus telling Kreacher about his plan, and dying. Sirius grieving. Nymphadora being born. Sirius arriving at Godric's Hollow after Voldemort killed James and Lily. What makes this video amazing is telling the tale of the Black family in a consistent, comprehensive way, while none of these videos are related. None of these actors played any of these roles, yet they fill them perfectly. None of them have played out this story, but the video manages to deliver perfectly. Even the smallest of details are there. It is, and always will be, extraordinary, how this fandom has managed to create its own version of story for almost every background character. This fandom no longer needs a Marauders or Black family movie; It has created its own movie.
I could not figure out what exactly fascinated me so much about this video, but I think I have. It perfectly captures this idea that a family build in hatred was destined to perish in the same hatred. They all destroyed each other, in so many ways.

The way the Harry potter/ wizarding world has sooo much potential but tv shows are literally ignoring it is astonishing to me! They can make series about the marauders, the blacks, some prequels, even some sequel of like modern day hogwarts i can totally see it as a light hearted fun serie i could totally see it with a mix to today's muggle world trends or issues with the magical world... Like, there's just so much potential goddammit

However evil, twisted or cynic The Black Family might be, they are still the most complex, most intriguing, deepest and grievously underrated. They bring the adult touch to Harry Potter fandom. I think the black brothers are my favorites. There story is so tragic. I like to think they were close as kids before hogwarts and their houses as well as their different views happened. Its so sad that they never reconciled with eachother and instead died young and mentally young age
you're both some of my favorite editors and when i heard you were working on this i knew it was going to be amazing. i didn't think it was possible, but it's even better than i imagined. tears literally appeared in my eyes from 3:10 and i had to pause the video when regulus appeared in the veil, bc i literally almost burst into tears. i also love the casting choices, the scene choices and the manips, they're absolutely perfect and your hard work paid off! this is by far my new favorite video from both of you

Your video was amazing! I love how most of the video is in white, gray, and black, portraying either how sad their house actually was, how tragic all of their stories are, or how their family was a mix of ideals. I love how you also showed Sirius and Andromeda's opinions on their family's views, as well as their disownment, marking two huge similarities between them. Something I don't tend to see in other videos is how Alphard, Sirius's uncle, is shown at least three times. Despite the fact he is a minor character that is often forgotten, I think his action (that lead to his disownment) of giving Sirius money was of large importance. He helped Sirius get disowned without worry. I also like how all the events are in an understandable order, from Andromeda and Sirius's views leading to their disownment, Alphard's connection to the latter's betrayal, then Regulus Black's actions that lead to his death, funeral, and Sirius's mourning, followed by Andromeda with Nymphadora, the Potter's death and Sirius's imprisonment, then the deaths of Sirius who was killed by Bellatrix (I love how there is a small, short part where Sirius is about to die right when the singer starts singing 'goodbye', then it switches to Regulus before completing Sirius's death, meaning they will be reunited), then Bellatrix herself, and then finally, after a quick switch to the Malfoy family, particularly Narcissa with Lucius, we can see Narcissa's family members disappearing as Narcissa watches with tears in her eyes.
This edit makes me think hbo is really missing a opportunity of doing a black family serie like house of dragon showing how powerful and influential they was before destroying themselves for blood purity

What makes this video amazing is telling the tale of the Black family in a consistent, comprehensive way, while none of these videos are related. None of these actors played any of these roles, yet they fill them perfectly. None of them have played out this story, but the video manages to deliver perfectly. Even the smallest of details are there.
It is, and always will be, extraordinary, how this fandom has managed to create its own version of story for almost every background character. This fandom no longer needs a Marauders or Black family movie; It has created its own movie.

The way the Harry potter/ wizarding world has sooo much potential but tv shows are literally ignoring it is astonishing to me! They can make series about the marauders, the blacks, some prequels, even some sequel of like modern day hogwarts i can totally see it as a light hearted fun serie i could totally see it with a mix to today's muggle world trends or issues with the magical world... Like, there's just so much potential goddammit
I know right. JK Rowling should totally do a collab with one of the streaming giants to do a miniseries about the Marauders and the Black family. It would be an instant hit.

However evil, twisted or cynic The Black Family might be, they are still the most complex, most intriguing, deepest and grievously underrated. They bring the adult touch to Harry Potter fandom. They were exactly one in a million family. So spread out, deep rooted and completely aristocratic. It is indeed the Most Noble and Ancient House Black.

I think the black brothers are my favorites. There story is so tragic. I like to think they were close as kids before hogwarts and their houses as well as their different views happened. Its so sad that they never reconciled with eachother and instead died young and mentally young age

i didn't think it was possible, but it's even better than i imagined. tears literally appeared in my eyes from 3:10 and i had to pause the video when regulus appeared in the veil, bc i literally almost burst into tears. i also love the casting choices, the scene choices and the manips, they're absolutely perfect and your hard work paid off! this is by far my new favorite video from both of you

Your video was amazing! I love how most of the video is in white, gray, and black, portraying either how sad their house actually was, how tragic all of their stories are, or how their family was a mix of ideals.
I love how you also showed Sirius and Andromeda's opinions on their family's views, as well as their disownment, marking two huge similarities between them. Something I don't tend to see in other videos is how Alphard, Sirius's uncle, is shown at least three times. Despite the fact he is a minor character that is often forgotten, I think his action (that lead to his disownment) of giving Sirius money was of large importance. He helped Sirius get disowned without worry.
I also like how all the events are in an understandable order, from Andromeda and Sirius's views leading to their disownment, Alphard's connection to the latter's betrayal, then Regulus Black's actions that lead to his death, funeral, and Sirius's mourning, followed by Andromeda with Nymphadora, the Potter's death and Sirius's imprisonment, then the deaths of Sirius who was killed by Bellatrix (I love how there is a small, short part where Sirius is about to die right when the singer starts singing 'goodbye', then it switches to Regulus before completing Sirius's death, meaning they will be reunited), then Bellatrix herself, and then finally, after a quick switch to the Malfoy family, particularly Narcissa with Lucius, we can see Narcissa's family members disappearing as Narcissa watches with tears in her eyes.
This edit makes me think hbo is really missing a opportunity of doing a black family serie like house of dragon showing how powerful and influential they was before destroying themselves for blood purity
