Real shame the market has moved away from the MPV. We had a Grand Scenic for years when my children were younger; brilliant versatility. MPVs are still the best family transport l.

We think that there's certainly still a place for the MPV in family life!

I agree. I had to get rid of my suv because it was too high for me to get into safely. There aren't many mpvs available particularly as I don't need a 7 seater.I have bought a Ford c max which I really like for its access and to drive but do worry about about the wet belt system. Its a 17 reg but only done 30k so fingers crossed

Got a 1.2 petrol he’s a little biased , has plenty of power and pull loaded and unloaded . Dint realise when I purchased it it was only 1.2 very surprised when I found out.

Look online for the issues the wet timing belt on the 1.2 petrol causes, as well as the Adblue tank issues on the diesel. Expensive repairs and the only thing that puts me off getting one of these, as they look the best value old school 7-seater around.

@@mikescudder4621. As in an MPV 7 seater rather than a SUV.

I’m planning to buy this model. Is it pricey (big/small service etc)?

We have had 2 C4 Picasso cars as family cars, the first was a standard, the second a grand. Sadly the latest "Space Tourer" (not the one in this video) is a van with additional seats and has lost the appeal of the C4 versions.
Citroen should have retained the purpose built MPV as a long range EV, since the current SUV/ crossover offering (I now own a C5 aircross)is nowhere near as spacious, practical or flexible, and the visibility is comparatively poor.
Mass market car makers have lost their way and have stopped listening to what customers really want.
Both of the cars were "auto" , a 1.6 petrol in the first one and a 2.0 blue hdi in the second. Both were good but the diesel was the better of the two, and has adequate power, even with all 7 seats occupied.

It's always great to hear owner feedback. Thanks for sharing!

I'd say 2.0 hdi is the best choice for this car for in town driving and also for the highway. There's no replacement for displacement ;)

I believe the mass market car makers have already listened to customers, the majority want SUV styled vehicles! I like the look of the C5 aircross, but we cant buy them here. Currently have a C3 aircross. Good car.

@mikescudder4621 Yes, the majority and probably all of the legacy European carmakers ha listened to the majority(?) but not all of their potential customers.
All makers now produce SUVs or "crossovers" (which are only large hatchbacks when all's said and done).
Now they appear to be attempting to market "crossover- crossover" MPVs, which is to say squeezing an additional row of seats into an already compromised body style.
Crossover SUVs don't have the anything close to the excellent all-round visibility, cabin-flexibity, load carrying potential and general cabin airiness of MPVs, and the additional row of seats will almost certainly make the SUV body style even bigger and less suitable for our smaller roads and even car parks.
I have a 2.0 litre diesel C5 Aircross, which is a good car in many respects, but doesn't offer the same usefulness that my previous C4 Grand Picasso did. Surely ONE of the makers within the Stellantis group could have continued to offer a good compact MPV.

Great car, the question is how to replace it in the future. Some other brand should make Spacetourer if Citroen doesn't want to. I don't see appeal in hatchbacks on high wheels (SUVs).

For second hand buyers: just get the 2018 and later models. The pre 2018 models have so much troubles....
