You do not need to justify haggling, you have every right to make an offer on anything you buy. This is how businesses make money everyday. Keep up the good work, your videos make me realise I need to be selling on ebay.
You don’t need to justify yourself for advertising or haggling. Have the courage in your convictions, remember, this is your show. Keep it up, your doing great!
Fantastic sales James, you don't need to explain yourself. Love the shoe sales, always great tips also. Hope you had a nice birthday🐈🐈🐈
Thank you Caroline 😁
Happy birthday James!
Another great video, you nailed the speaker deal.. what a great find and flip, I would’ve kept it myself. Keep it up.
Buying electrical items haggling is a must . I have been buying and selling item for the last 20 years and electronic goods are lottery unless the seller can prove the item works assume it doesn't and if does its a bonus.
I don't see the problem in haggling, thats what you do at car boot sales, and the seller can always say no to your offer!!! It's the way of the sellers, each person makes their profit. Hope you enjoyed your day off and had a great birthday. 😀👍
Thanks Sarah! 😊
Happy Birthday and thanks for your videos always good to watch
Your voice is so relaxing
Excellent video.
👊🏼
I would always haggle on the Apple keyboards as I think out of 4 I’ve bought over the last few years every single one has had at least a couple of keys that don’t work.
You don’t ‘need’ to justify yourself but as you are putting out content, people are going to comment so seems fair enough surely.. good sales btw 👍
Agreed - haggle away. You make your profit when you buy the item at the best price.
Happy Birthday 🎉🎉
Happy Birthday - enjoy your day off - we'll all be on Vinted snapping up those gazelles whilst you're away !!👍🤣
I bought some phone tripods from a charity shop and sold them at £3 a go at car boot
Haggling is part and parcel of car boots! If you don’t haggle you could end up paying way over the odds for stuff that are broken/damaged. I love haggling. Some people don’t like doing it which is fine, but to have people moan at your for it is bizarre.
Don’t ever feel the need to explain yourself mate 👌🏼
I haggle for every item if you can get it cheaper money is better in your own pocket they can always say no to you
Could you do a video or just mention when listing an item on eBay what’s your process/ how long do you list them for?
List until they sell! Amend the price after a few weeks of no movement
Can you tell me how you know your shoe/trainers buys are genuine. I'm looking to buy and sell trainers on the side but want to know how eBay check the items are genuine. Great channel by the way. You got me started on my re selling journey through me watching your videos. Keep up the fantastic work.
Any information would be greatly appreciated 👍👍👍
Thank you for watching! There’s really not an easy answer other than just experience and the obvious signs like the labels being wrong or things like that. I stick to the shoes that I know are very rarely fakes. So okay it kinda safe 🙌🏼
EBay run their own authentication process, this is when a shoe sale is over (I think) £75.
Haggle be polite no problem.
What do you recommend to post trainers. Do you do it signed for ? , tracked? Or just 1st class ?
Fab
Haggling. The best way to make a few quid is to not spend it in the place. No need to justify it and the seller is always more than welcome to decline.. Not sure why people ask
Great video James , can you answer a question for me on how many listings do you put on eBay on average in a day, just wondering if as I average 10-15 but it takes so long to do a listing , just don't know if I am doing enough...
Hi, thank you! Wish I was doing 10-15 daily, sometimes I struggle to reach 5!
If stuff is taking a while to sell, it may be down to price or just the actual item may not be the most in demand. Maybe worth running a sale or amending prices. Thanks 😊
@@JammyDodgerFlips I think it's the time off year as everyone seems reasonable quite at the moment
I listed a babybjorn carrier cover bnib and eBay removed it ☹️
Very strange! Never had that
That's cos they looked at it and it was a load of shit, that's why removed 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The poor seller who sold that Apple Speaker…£8!!! Feels so wrong. Good for you but absolutely terrible for them.
Was pretty beaten up. Think they were house clearance too, so probably thought it was a non-worker.
@@JammyDodgerFlips Your channel is not called Jammy Dodger Flips without reason.
@djme-ft3zs exactly! You’re probably the first person to comment about the channel name and it’s relevance to what I do 😆
Every person that goes to a carboot will Haggle and if they tell you different they are chatting complete S**T. Just ignore the keyboard warriors and keep doing what you doing.
Any recommendations on keeping eBay fees down? I made a great sale recently 15 -> 85 but was disappointed by the fees. Wondering if I’m missing any tricks? Things to avoid? Tried watching some vids but nothing very helpful
Unfortunately not, apart from keeping the promoted listings % down. The fees are tough but it’s worth it for the audience. Just try to buy the items as cheap as possible
@@JammyDodgerFlips thanks for the response! Perhaps my listings aren’t reaching the heights I hoped I’ll try a new tact. Had success selling back onto Vinted but at lower values than you’ve achieved on eBay! Thanks.. and thanks for the vids genuinely enjoy them. One of the few resellers I come back to
haggling is fine it is part of trading ... dont justify yourself
🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Charity shops annoy me, theyve gotten greedy. Its not like theyre paying out for items and having to sell with profit, theyre getting everything for free and are now charging over the top prices. They would still make a killing selling items at a reasonable price, i no longer visit them because the chances are that the good stuff is placed on their ebay sites.
Haggling is part and parcel of car boots 🤷 if youre selling at a car boot then expect to be haggled!
You sure T-Cut didnt sponsor you 🤣🤣🤣
I thought the trolls would moan about another ad, so had to put that in 😂😅
Wish they did though, free car cleaning gear! 😎
Yeah charity shops aren’t the same these days. I tend to avoid too, do much better on Vinted!
@@JammyDodgerFlips Oh no, i was one of those trolls 🤣🫣 my comment was said jokingly though, hopefully it did come across that way as it certainly wasnt intended to sound malicious 👍
@retrogamesrevived1189 oh no not at all! Yours was a funny one, the ones who actually got genuinely offended by it, I just deleted 😂
No you dont need to justify haggling atall, your the one taking the risk who cares what people think some people just dnt have a clue its not like your forcing them to sell
You should always haggle. You never know if electricals are working... Great video
Get a gardening/beach trolley/cart for your buys
Why not haggle if car boot sellers are that worried about price there’s nothing to stop them selling on eBay
All I would say re; haggling, it is ridiculous when people are quoted £2 and ask the seller to do it for £1 or £3 for £2. Just pay the money in those situations.
I agree, you should haggle. But in a previous video you complained because someone said make an offer. You put up a text stating you hate it when sellers do that. Then a short time later someone said “how much do you want to pay?” You didn’t complain on that item because the price went in your favour. Hypocrisy?
We all have our views and if you’re putting yourself out there expect criticism.
I’m not a ‘hater’ BTW, I enjoy your stuff, just sayin’
No need to explain yourself. You do it to make a living, and most people mark higher because they expect to get haggled. All the best for your birthday 🎉
Nice! Had Gazelles from Vinted for £3, little clean up, £20 resale profit on Vinted! 😉
Buy low sell high, that’s the aim of the game at the end of the day. Unfortunately due to the amount of dishonesty that goes on haggling is a must for many, no one’s forcing anyone to do anything at the end of the day…
You have to haggle it’s what’s expect at a car boot. Happy birthday for tomorrow 🎉
keep haggling
Jammy Dodger how much are your Sylvannian items in background of your video please they keep catching my eye subscriber discount please x
Hey! Drop me a message on insta please 😊
Thank you will do 😊
99% of the time, it's correct to haggle. The only nuance is how far to push it.
Hey Jammy, another great vid. You don’t need to justify yourself to anyone, you are running a business and if you can save a few ££ then so be it. I’m trying to build up the courage to haggle myself in readiness for the boot sales 😂
Haggling is one of the best things at the carboot (within reason), and as you said especially when you don’t know about the item or unsure if it works, just reduces the chances of losing money.
Great video again mate 💪🏼
Happy birthday! Enjoying the videos 😊
You look a lot like my son lol ! , I need get a bargain like those asic trainers .
You must be rapid to catch them trainers at them prices
Speedy sniper 😆 I still miss loads of stuff!
Happy birthday 🎂 🥳
HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE!
Happy Birthday 🎉 great video thank you
Great video
I was at the checkout about to buy them green gazelles! You must of been slightly quicker on the trigger 🤣👍
🤣 sorry! Don’t worry, I get the same thing happen to me a good few times a day. Gotta be so quick!
Picked up one of those apple speakers today on the back of this video. Paid £3 but no lead👍
Boom! That’s what it’s all about 👏🏼 regular lead too, so no harm there.
Please don't do sponsored reviews. I for one will always stop watching whoever does them. And I like your videos. Obviously its up to you but I will never follow them type of youtubers
Okkkkaaayyyy don’t watch then ☠️
Get a life. Why try to stop him earning some extra income
You can just skip it if you didn’t know. It’s really not a big deal. Don’t be a wet wipe all your life bud
Can always skip the vid - if I get offered a deal which I think may be valuable to both me & my audience, I’m going to take it.
