I honestly enjoyed this review so much, and was absolutely captivated the ENTIRE time. You have such a casual/formal alternating approach to the review, and your editing style and layout worked wonders along with the hilarious humor segments that just make the review that much better. The fact that you also included a general review form both an enthusiast POV, as well as a commuter/casual driver POV was also extremely helpful. Your method and review setting, inside the car also worked far better than pan-around or camera angle reviews surprisingly enough, and the overall project came together PERFECTLY. A dead certain 10/10 review, and keep up the good work because it is super informative, and greatly appreciated. Also this review stands true for ALL the videos in this channel, very impressive.

Actually used GTR's are affordable you must have to find them, private sales are the better way to go vs dealerships.

Last year I saw a 2009 GTR with 30000 miles and sale for 50k USD. 1 week later, I back to the dealer. Unfortunately, somebody has took it

I have a 2014 r8, which is a great car, but my daily driver is a BMW 335is and at 40,000 miles has had nothing but problems, so watching this video helped me decide what year GT-R to get to replace the beamer. I've been a Z owner for years, and the reliability of that thing really made me want to go in this direction for a daily driver. I'll be purchasing a 2011 this month. Thanks for the information.

The only thing about having an expensive car is the attention. I would rather have a honda CRX and tune it.
You cannot tune a CRX to GT-R specs. Watch one of the several documentaries explaining why the GT-R is designed the way it is. It's boxy shape, its multiple vent ports, its large curb weight...all has to do with its performance numbers. Now AMS Performance out of Chicago tunes GT-Rs so far above stock, that their packages result with GT-Rs that can even beat the Bugatti Veyron in several categories. GT-R's were made to break records and every new model has done this...tune them up and you shatter records. Look up AMS Alpha GT-R. Specifically, the tuning kits: Alpha 9, Alpha 12, Alpha 16 and Alpha Omega. Your jaw will drop. It's 0-60 is in the high 1 second range with the proper tires and on a track. Even TT'd Lambo's can't step into this ballpark. Not even the Bugatti.
AgainstTheGrain The 16:4 Veyron is limited. When first dyno'd, the engine churned out nearly 3,000HP. As NA lovers will tell you - there is no replacement for displacement. The Veyron could be tuned for over 3.000HP easily. Live with that GTR.
AgainstTheGrain Of course you can't but having a car that brings enjoyment to the driver is all it takes. plus 1k hp clubs are terrible street cars, the CR-X however lightweight, streetable power and no driving assists thats all you need for the good times to roll.

Very informative, and the presenter is one fast talking dude, I enjoyed listening to him, and apparently he looks good on screen, compared to my mug anyway :) A bit of ranting - I'd avoid the "5 things" theme, that is something already thoroughly exploited by CarThrottle, but the "living with..." rubric seems nice, it's something fresh and distinctive, and something others don't seem to be doing. Love the video. Been driving my GTR for two weeks now, haven't found anything that can come even close to it light to light and have yet to be taken on the highway, the thing is truly Godzilla!!! The other great part, here in Canada, I have people coming and asking for pictures constantly! My boss with his 911 Turbo S has yet to be asked!! lmao

This reminds me of 2001.... playing on Gran Turismo - Playstation 1, always driving Pulsar GTI-R for good power:weight. What is that thing... >> FF a few months, I bought one. Back in 2001, Jap imports for performance motors wasn't as common in UK, until Colin McRae got the Impreza WRX. Sadly now, the "what is that" is lost. My old GTI-R is still on the road now (H849 JVM), 13 years later. Reliability is the cherry on the cake for Jap motors.
Gran Turismo was the most expensive game I ever had. lol.

my dream car is a GTR, but the car is bland looking for being considered an exotic car. People who know what GTR's are, know they are fucking sexy. But for the other 55-65% of the population who know nothing about the car, see nothing special in the appearance. amazing machine tho

Cool review. But, still to this day, (19th Oct 2015) a 2009 Gt-R with 35,000 miles on will cost you at least £40,000. There is a really cheap £35,000 Gt-R on Autotrader at the minute, but with 60,000 miles...
If your gonna pay 5,000 to 10,000 dollars a year on insurance it doesn't matter if you pick a GTR or a 911 TurboS. No matter what you got to have mad money. Anyways the GTR is just getting warmed up, in ten years this car is going to blow your mind.
gt-r cost about 118k in usa, but about 400k in Malaysia. a ferrari 458 cost about 400k in the usa, 2 million dollars in Malaysia

Crazy how your showing the exact same color GTR I'm looking into possibly purchasing soon...either that or a viper
i would get r8 or 911 over this. Speed and perfomance differences of this and rival cars can be tested, proved and FELT by a racing driver and as a average rich Joe you are highly unlikely (even on a racetrack) to go anywhere near its limits so arguing with perfomance is pointless i think. I would happily pay up for that extra comfort and overall quality... considering R8 looks way more sexy too i think it boils down to a personal preference based on actual driving. You ust have to sit in it, drive it for few days and see for yourself.
The R8 and 911 are better looking, but I guess the main selling point of the GTR is the blistering speed!

This car would be fun for maybe 5- 6 years for me, dead at 100,000 km, you'd be paying out your ass for maintenance and repairs, the car is now worth half what you bought it for (loss of a solid $50,000),
