Yes there is lore! I’m not an expert by any means but what little I do know is that their music and videos often reference dreaming or waking up, hence O.O and when you dream you can get to Mixxtopia where all kinds of things are possible. They often go there when a change up happens. You see it happen in Soñar (which means dream in Spanish) when the girls are all in pink and in Dash when they are on the broken up islands in the clouds (it’s a nod to O.O if you hadn’t noticed). They have a single album called A Midsummer Nmixx’s Dream (Roller Coaster and Party O’Clock on it). In the beginning of Love Me Like This, you see the girls waking up.
There are also a lot of Ocean references in their music and videos. Lyrics like Big Wave, surfing, deep blue sea, ocean blue, etc. Imagery like the huge scary ship in O.O as well as jellyfish, whales, mermaids and such. Ad Mare the title of their first single album means To the Sea.
In a larger sense, their music speaks of breaking walls, barriers and stereotypes. This is especially noted in recent tracks like Dash and Run for Roses. Their music is quite different from every day K-pop in the way that they experiment with genres and placing two songs together in one song. In Mixxtopia all of these things can happen without prejudice or fear of being hated for being different.
This is my interpretation based on the videos and content that I’ve consumed. If anybody has a different or more accurate take please share 😅

Oh hell naaaah. O.O mv editing and directing actually killed this debut. lol If they didn't just put that long pause before the change up then it wouldn't sound so off and weird. it makes it look like the pause is part of the song and it transition so bad. It's the reason I avoided NMIXX the first time until I heard party O'clock which made me excited for dash, I didn't even bother to listen to the audio only version because I thought it's the same as the MV and I'm sure most people thought as well too.
