On spin cycles Hotpoint/Indesit/Whirlpool would seem to be on the same way...2 balancing methods of which 1 overly sensitive used (unluckily) on standard programs and the classic Indesit method (300rpm burst - 400 burst - spin) used on rapid/daily cycles I think some companies conceive of 90 degrees mainly as "sterilisation" rather than "stain removing” this would explain that tumble pattern on main wash. I remember also some BSH and Midea models behaved like that
the difference being LG uses them both on the same cycle, whichever method it feels is necessary at the time. interesting thought about the boilwash tumbles, hadn't crossed my mind but that does make sense actually. 90 isn't ideal for stain removal anyway, 40 is.
@ This thought was also “confirmed” to me by some dishwashers with "extra hygiene", sterilisation option etc. when I realised that they used a low pressure of the jets (probably to not damage some stuff like glass objects) as opposed to an intensive program performed at a slightly lower temperature
@@Sagelarva9560-x2y I vaguely remember very very old models from 2008/2009 produced for the italian and german market, rebadged as Comfee' (mg52...etc) with the programme knob on the left and a big display in the middle, criticised for their "poor wash action" on cotton/hygiene cycles, with a tumble pattern very similar to this LG
@@washersfan9003 That's interesting. Indesit were the same at that point. They only had good wash action on fast wash 60/flash clean. Normal cottons had rather short tumbles
I did not hear the ticking sounds the shock absorbers make on the older models, have they really changed that or was it just because it was a light load? Overall a very nice machine, would love to have one.
from owning lgs in the US, it happens overtime, its just general wear. they use the same general design across all machines i believe, US and european (if thats right) and it eventually ticks.
@@washingandmowing15 I know, we bought a LG in 2017 but I can only remember that it made the ticking noises from day one. That is why I asked if they had changed it. Anyway it never was annoying because it was still very silent when spinning.
I'd better say: Cotton 72° instead 95°. Big but big dissapointment this machine is, regarding the real temperature. I've sold mine. Even though it was brand new.
in LG's defence, there is nothing that reaches 90° nowadays. and hasn't for a long time now. it is a downgrade from the temperature reached on previous models, and i agree it shouldn't be called 95° if it does 75° only. but unfortunately 75-81° is the standard for the modern era. the majority of machines i've filmed max out within this range. it sucks but this is not exclusive to LG by any means
Not a huge fan of these new models. Look like they’re trying to better disguise their cheapo vestel made models as this really looks like a vestel from the outside.

Wait, Midea do it? I haven't seen any models do it before. Could you give me an example of a model that does?

i think it'll build up over time. it was dead silent at first but it's making very slight ticks now. i don't mind, im used to that from my other LG.

This lg has a different power on and start chime but the end of cycle chime is the same as my dryer but different pitch
yes. they changed the power on\off and start tunes for the new ranges (X10 and VX70)
