Pine Tree Time-lapse 300 Days

- Last Christmas they sold these stone pine cones in the supermarket so I bought one to try to see if i could grow something from the seeds. And it turned out to be one of my favorites this year. Definitely keeping this one going for longer so there will most likely be an update video coming end of next year.
"The stone pine, botanical name Pinus pinea, also known as the Italian stone pine, Mediterranean stone pine, umbrella pine and parasol pine, is a tree from the pine family (Pinaceae). The tree is native to the Mediterranean region, occurring in Southern Europe and the Levant. The species was introduced into North Africa millennia ago, and is also naturalized in the Canary Islands, South Africa and New South Wales."

Technically, if you're diligent enough, you could plant a Christmas three in your back garden 3 years in advance so you can get a free tree every Christmas
Nicee
Can you do the same for menorahs?
05-[redacted]! Get back to work! We still need to solve the case of the missing SCP-[redacted]. This is his SECOND time.
it takes 10 years or more to develop a christmas three.
Well, except that christmas trees are generally spruce... :)
Love it! No annoying intros & outros, no "please like & subscribe", no timelapse in reverse at the end to stretch watchtime, just the pure video like in the old days of TH-cam!
I totally agree. Except that I would also cut the first 5 seconds.
Exactly, This is why he is my favorite youtuber!
except for the crap at the beginning where he showed an end preview for no reason
I mean, annoying dramatic music though
I love how well this soaring music goes with a seemingly simple time-lapse of a pine tree growing. Truly, a miracle of nature.
Oh my god, finally a TREE! Thank you so much, please consider making updates of this project in the future!!!! I really appreciate your hard work, and quality videos!
0:55 I love how the seedling opening up matches to the dramatic sound in the background.
I'm happy you showed the pine cone opening and the seeds inside.
As an engineer and a chemist, there is nothing more fascinating to me than the simplicity and beauty of a seed.😊
Whoa! That music corresponds so well when the seed falls & the leaves bloom; it gives such a chill!
Go on little tree!
That beat drop when the thing exploded was on point
I always just assumed pine cones on the ground that hadn't opened weren't ever going to open. Thanks for showing me that was a bad assumption. That's a cute lil tree.
A nice little experiment: Pick a pine cone, put it in a humid condition: like on a shallow plate with some damp paper towel and wait; then let the cone dry. You can repeat it and marvel at!
I bet that tiny but mighty little tree had the grow tent smelling AMAZING 😊 great work as always! Happy merry holidays to everyone ❤
30 year time-lapse please.
Be patient it's still being recorded.
the dramatic music like this boy's going to save the world when he grows up... thanks for the air tree
I'm so proud of them, look how much they grew.
That was beautiful! Love the music.
I hope it puts in perspective just how long it takes for a pine tree to be BIG. People cut them down like it’s nothing. 😢
This little baby is almost a year old and only a few inches tall.
When we have conifers or other trees from seed (almost always little volunteers), it's usually about 3-5 years in a pot or garden bed before we can transplant. Then we have a wire cage or something to prevent deer damage for another 3-5 years, until the tip of the tree's around 6 feet/2 meters tall. Some trouble, yet worth it! 🌲😎✌️
Lmao the music when the sprout dropped its cap and splayed out
It never ceases to blow me away how plants and other things can come from very small seeds
This is my new favorite video by you I just love it in every way it gets straight into it and you put in so much effort to grow it for 300 days perfection😊
The timing of your music was absolutely PERFECT! What a beautiful video to watch!
Stunning! The photography is amazing and the accompanying music is perfect and definitely fitting. Thank you!
the time lapses teaches me about patience. great things take time
I always learn new stuff from your channel. Today it was that seedling pines look like kraken!!!
nature is so amazing ✨️🌿🌲
ABSOLUTELY beautiful hope that beautiful tree grows massive ❤🎉
BRO SPENT 300 DAYS FOR THIS ❤❤❤
What a beautiful little fella.. thank you. New subber. 🌿❤️🌿
I've had a big lush blue stone pine before in a pot, it was perfect until sadly the frost killed it, it sucked. Just make sure to keep these as an indoor plant as they are very supseptable to frost when young, they can handle it once they've turned into a full tree.
0:55 Oppenheimer moment😂😂😂😂
Ive also got a Pine tree growing from seed! Its at about 450 days and its literally the same except maybe a little more branched out and 10cm taller
Yeah, conifers grow really slow in their first few years, but pick up their pace in the coming years
nekem a közönséges lucfenyő 240 nap alatt nött 22 cm ert mondjuk az a faj gyorsan növő , de sokat számít fiatal korukba a talaj minősége keverj össze paánta földet fenyő földel és akkor nagyobbat fog nőlni a következő ciklusba
Thank You, Boxlapse 🌲
THAT WAS SO ON BEAT LMAO 0:55
Miracle of life
@RuneWine Okay, aliens.
Pam
That seed is so chonky! There’s almost no wing, just a big, fat nut.
I grew a red pine seed like this, and it took six years to get that tall, including its long needles!
The drop of the music was exactly timed for when the seed fell off the first leaves lol 0:53
Epic
I think that was on purpose (idk why)
that's really neat. I didn't realize a pine tree grows up from the top like that, I thought it grew from the bototm.
All trees grow from the ends out. Sometimes they grow skinny branches and then fill them out with leaves or needles
@@evilsharkey8954 thanks yes I realize that now from the video as well :)
Once tried to grow a pine tree from seed as well, but forgot to get right soil for it. Gonna try again for sure🌲
Beautiful!
Wait, _that's_ what pinecones are for?!
I never realized I've never seen a conifer in the time lapses before. Very cool
You can do it little tree! You can be the best Christmas tree ever if you try!
300 days! didnt know they grew so slowly.
Would love to see this over 3000! days. Thanks for sharing!
See you in 2032.
Is that Pinus pinea? Awesome time-lapse!
Yes.
it is always awesome to watch growt of a new life
0:54 pine seed jumpscare
Lmao
I once heard a Roman Pine cone open in my kitchen once. All open at once! Big low-tone snap.
That's cool 😊
Merry christmas
Thank you for all the amazing videos. I would love to see a hight scale behind the potting container...it would add much to the content.
watching those roots stretching out searching for somewhere to dig 👌🏽 thatll be why theyre great for long cordage years later then
Tiny little shrub grows into a ginormous and beautiful tree in years.
Beautifully done. No lie i was waiting on Batman to show up with that music!😅
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Very cute!
I didn't know I needed to see this. Until now🤗
Awesome work! Perfect video! The cut/drop at the beggining was amazing!
What a cool hobby you have.
Nice work ❤🎉
Perfectly done.
“THIS IS..PINE TREE!”
Will there be a time lapse video of the common fir? It's amazing anyway.
This was incredible! Ty! ❤
such a cool looking plant! maybe I should try to plant that
This confirms what I have in 2 pots. Cypress pines from seed. Feel into tomato pots from BIG trees plant in 1927 that I have.
Really liked the music in this one
Awesome
Hey this can could have grown a lot if you didnt plant it in such a small pot, pine has strong roots and probably filled this pots withingbthe first weeks
Pine in fun watching it grow! Next plant a baby spider plant
Never thought Pine's Seed like that!
This is so well done. Thank you.
If you planted these more often in Pine Forests there would be a lot of space for birds
Amazing video! What kind of lightbulb have you used and what life cycle was set night hours/ day hours?
Music is stunning. And the video too
Super amazing! Thanks a lot for posting this!
Nice music choice. Epic tree.
He picked the perfect seed
The video is *Almost A Year Old* WoW! ❤
this made me cry
0:54 that jumpscared me 😮
Thanks for sharing ❤
Amazing. Thank you very mucb
Im the 425th liker of this video 🎉
Congrats for the 300 days!
But I want a tree now!
Do you have plans for these trees after the video ? It'd be fun if you continued to film after
Look at the root area, it has a regular growth pulse that corresponds with the upper growth.
Where can i find a camera battery that last fof 265 days?
Electricity.
Excellent
The music is overly dramatic, yet oddly, highly appropriate :O
Growing a pine tree is hard enough in a desert in Arizona.
I love nature
I really like the music
Excellent video - and slightly terrifying if you lose sight of the fact this is 300 days 🤣
How many images are combined to make this? Is it one per day or more than that?
If it was one picture a day, then the whole Timelapse would only have 300 frames. That would mean that the video is being played at around 3 frames per second. This video is obviously more than 3 frames per second. It is more likely that each day is something like 5-10 frames of the video.
It’s obviously a sped up video, not a single picture per day
It's obviously not. Did you see any dark parts - you don't grow seedlings under 24 hour light? If there were 8 images taken per day, the 100 seconds of the clip would equate to 24 frames per second - which is feature film standard. Don't say things when you don't really understand what you're talking about.@@LondonBridge99
I would say about 3 images a day, it's definitely not 30 fps.
@@jwalster9412 agreed. 3 Images per day is around 900 total, and if you take away the padding at the start of the clip the time lapse part is nearer 60 seconds. That equates to 15 fps. Considering every feature film ever made (except literally a handful) are 24 fps, 15 would be way more than enough for this project.
"Please sir, I want some more."
The miracle of life.
God's creation ✝️♥️🤗
sungguh karya seni yang luar biasa,, anda bersabar selama 1 th untuk membuat video yang memanjakan mata ini
Beautiful but wow they take long to grow
boxlapse is pretty cool
A whole year has passed and it is still a dwarf is slow
A baby is still a baby after a year..
What’s strange is the amount of pine trees we have here in the Deep South, I have NEVER seen any of them at this growth stage but they are everywhere and pine cones to ruin your day when you pick them up
It's so beautiful
EPIC!!!
Very interesting 😊
