    Thanks!
    Hey guys, excellent content, especially glad for the potential draft targets 👍. Gonna take a look, especially on TE, IOL and OLB prospects.
    Short one maybe for future pods. I get this G-Ro critics, especially after wild card loss to Texans (I still think, there could be more pressure towards C.J. from our pass rush as well). However we had some nice plays/games from the offense in past season, players got better by coaching and I would say proper running game is the answer (with Justin running more as well and stronger OL showing as we currently saw in Divisional round). Can you somehow see the offense getting better in 2025 from scheme level or do you feel, that G-Ro's scheme is gonna keep us down with offensive numbers?
    Bolt up from Slovakia 🇸🇰 ! I truly feel we have made a huge step and believe in our triple JH (Hortiz - Harbaugh - Herbert). Enjoyed my 2 games this season in week 1 against Raiders and week 12 against Ravens and looking forward towards 2025 season!

      I hope to be back for some game next season as well. I was even looking for some options to Houston, but was too complicated.
      It has been some rolecoaster in the past, but it was sooo much fun this year ⚡️💪!

    Greg Roman catches too much heat. With more weapons next year, if the Bolts can’t go farther, then I will start to throw rotten fruit in Roman’s direction.

      @@kalvinknab5963 i remember people saying the same thing about Staley needing his guys for the defense.
      I hope you’re right. I see a coordinator making personnel decisions that don’t make sense. I’m not at practice, but Stone Smart not being elevated makes no sense. Standing by Fisk and Edwards down the stretch made no sense.
      Screens designed for Dissly but not Smart, JK, or Vidal makes no sense.
      Last, QJ’s snap count, deep go routes, and overall usage was frustrating.

    Jd qb for the commanders has some dope players and a nice oline just give our QB SOme weapons He can depend on and a offensive line that he can depend on some tight ends that he can depend on. Our defense is already stout, so give him what he need. As weapons on the offense and people will be praising him

    What is the podcasts opinion of bringing back M Williams and K Allen on 2 year deals via free agency. Then continue the youth movement by drafting a young WR, RB, and TE. Dobbins, O Hampton/C Skattebo (for example), Vidal, Williams, Allen, McConkey, Johnson, C Loveland , and Bech/Bryant (for example) would be exciting. IMO we could bring back allen and williams and pay all our rookies for the T Higging price tag adn that dosent seem like something Chef Ortiz would do. Sorry I missed the Q&A. Good show!

    It’s extremely funny to me to watch the Raiders hire Tom Telesco before last season, and fire him immediately after the season was over. They had one of the worst rosters in the league before he got there, and also when he left, outside of that tight end.
    That organization is a joke, and I’m loving it!
    Herbert is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL… period!
    Just look how he played when he had Hunter Henry, 3 pretty good wide receivers, a below average running back, a bad o-line, and a bad defense! He set passing yards records and they went to the playoffs.
    This season he had a bad group of receivers other than Ladd, a decent o-line, an okay running back,
    a defense that was pretty good, and that’s about it, and they made the playoffs again!
    Now imagine how well he could do with a great o-line, top offensive weapons, and a top 10 defense.
    Let’s not forget Harbaugh and his staff.. That team would be competing for a championship, and this talk about Herbert not being a top 5 quarterback would end immediately!

    If there are any lessons in the Commanders vs. Chargers comparison I would focus on the offensive weapons differences. A third down rb in Ekler being an obvious difference.

    Thank you for giving Dan Quinn his due credit. I've been following his career ever since he was with Seattle. Yes he will always be remembered for that Super Bowl flop but that has never negated him from being a great coach. I actually wanted him to be the next Chargers coach but I'm not dissatisfied with what Harbaugh accomplished for the Chargers this season

    Bolts need to be better in the margins next year if they want to be successful in the playoffs. Red zone efficiency, 3rd and 4th down efficiency, all have to increase. Hopefully Roman realizes that he doesn't have enough "easy button" plays to be in 2nd and 3rd in medium when the run game isn't working (and you don't have to have elite personnel to do this imo).

    I’m certainly not arguing Greg Roman should be immune from criticism, but I’m surprised at the refusal to admit that the biggest share of the blame for the Chargers offensive performance against the Texans belongs to Justin Herbert. I’m a big Herbert fan, but he played very poorly in that game and nothing like the $50 million a year QB they needed him to be. Roman is the easy target but on that day, Herbert was the more deserving one.

    Charger fans are unbearable after losses. Herbert gets every excuse for why he underperforms, while Roman gets torches and pitchforks. They both were without the same weapons and OL. Then these guys have the nerve to say Herbert would’ve performed better than Goff after he just threw 4 picks in a playoff game. At what point are people going to demand better from Herbert and stop excusing poor performances? Once this team loads up on talent and the offense performs better, Herbert’s going to get all the credit and you all are still going to hate Roman. It ain’t the offense. Lamar won an MVP running this offense and Kaepernick went to a SB but sure, keep making Roman the scapegoat. Is he partly responsible? Of course but so is Herbert.

      I haven’t heard a single person claim Herbert played well against Houston and does not need to play much better for this team to do something in the playoffs. That said, the team’s weaknesses which were all well known going into the game all reared their ugly heads- no pass catching TE, terrible interior O line play, only one wide receiver with the ability to get separation and the inability to run the ball effectively. I will agree with your criticism once they have average Interior O line play, a decent pass catching TE and at least one more WR who can get separation. Herbert can’t do it with Ladd and no one else. No QB can.

    I'm curious to understand why you think it is a bad idea to trade up for Tyler Warren? Chargers traded up for Ladd McConkey and it worked out. Why not trade up for Tyler Warren? Is he less valuable than Ladd? Look at the impact Travis Kelce just had for Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. He was the entire offense yesterday. Would you trade up for Travis Kelce? Think of how Rob Gronkowski helped Tom Brady. Would you trade up for Gronk? What is the reason why you think Tyler Warren is not worth it? The trade value chart shows trading this year's 1st plus next year's second round pick gets to #13 pick with Miami. Is Tyler Warren worth that?

    • @keroutson
      @keroutson 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hortiz would have to find a dance partner to begin with. The Colts are mocked to draft Warren so they would possibly have to give up a 2nd to move up that many slots. There is a possibility that Loveland falls to 22 but considering Bosa probably played his last game as a Charger & they have no one long term at DT I can see them addressing DL in the 1st. Plus, Mack may retire. Regardless, they need some youth across from Tuli.

    • @tylerschoon237
      @tylerschoon237 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The Chargers, as of today, need a starting center, right guard, running back, receiving TE, second starting WR, pass rushing DT, NT, starting outside corner, and a whole bunch of depth. They are not in a position to trade that far up.
      They moved from 34 to 31 in the second round for McConkey. That is very clearly different than a first-round trade.
      You are also arguing something like it's a guarantee the player they trade for WILL become that player.

    I don’t care what we need on defense. I rather watch our defense give up 25 points a game than to watch this absolutely putrid offense again. Quite frankly, after watching all these offenses and other teams in the NFL, i don’t think we ever win a playoff game with Greg Roman. This league passed him by a long time ago. Lets be honest, most of the QB’s in the NFL were as good as HErbert this year. Herbert is not a top 8 qb in the NFL, he is around 10 right now. He makes terrible decisions in every big game and for him to win he needs alot more help around him on offense. The most important piece a QB like Herbert needs is a Tight End to bail him out, so i trade up for Warren no matter what else we need. This team made a mistake taking Alt over Brock Bowers, they should not make that mistake again.

    • @keroutson
      @keroutson 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They first need a dance partner to trade up with! The Chargers have plenty of areas to address so I highly doubt they’ll trade up. Warren has been mocked to the Colts so the Chargers would possibly have to give up a 2nd which isn’t going to happen. Loveland could fall to them but addressing the trenches in the 1st might very well be the route they go.
