Panasonic cassette "walkman" repair

In this one I do a belt change as well as a good clean up on this very nice walkman from panasonic, the RQ-SX30. But it wasn't worth it in the end for this one, because in the end it stopped working completely. I haven't had much luck with panasonic walkmans especially.
At least hopefully this tutorial is gonna help repair yours.

Yeah, in my experience most of these cool looking Panasonics are really bad. Nothing I did could improve the sound.

How you charge the battery

I have this universal battery charger that is usually used to charge 18650 cells, but it works for NIMH and other chemistries.

You van use Simple nimh charger like MW 9168 GS or smilar 1,2v accu charger with moving battery clips

I don’t trust those chargers because I tested a few of them(sony) and the voltage was way over the recommended (1.8v for NIMH), some had 5v output, which makes the batteries kind hot after a while. Luckily the chemistry isn’t the same as li-ion otherwise it’s dangerous.

Keep in mind that using smaller diameter belts causes battery drain issue
