Love the U wing design! I also like the idea of it being slightly more narrow. The picasso fits me reasonably well but slightly wide too. Great review as always.
Definitely did enjoy Justin!! And thanks for pointing out the unique intricacies which even I didn’t notice prior and yes they are underselling their footwear for sure. With their quality of leather and Patina and sole and fit why not purchase a pair to have. A man can never have enough crisp white dress shirts, ties, & shoes✨🤝 Keep these reviews coming, I feel a new wave…… The golden Age of fine footwear without office attire required 😎☕️
Love TLB and the service is amazing now honestly Even Toni is assisting and responding to calls emails himself Just Would like to know the watch brand which you are wearing in the video
Thanks for sharing. I am wearing a Rotary Watch. You can see an unboxing on them in a more recent video. Not the same watch but has direct links to the company etc
@@theshoesnob_official Thank you for getting back to me. I ordered one pair recently but haven't received it yet. That would be my very first pair of footwear from TLB 🙂
Very good. First video I am watching about TLB Mallorca. It would be good if you make comparison videos with the same price level shoes. For example, with Carlos Santos. Thank you!
I understand that these two lasts are very similar, but for a black cap toe oxford with no brogueing, which would be your preference? I'm am deciding between the 128(Picasso) and the 198(Van Gogh).
Hi Justin. I’m now watching this video for the fifth time and still can’t decide if this last shape can work well with a captoe or maybe a punched cap… what’s your thoughts?
@@niniengineering my pleasure and not a shapr chisel with cap also looks good. If you want reference you can look at my line of shoes. The Palacio model (LPB last) is a soft chisel cap toe. The Windermere (MGF last) is a hard chisel cap toe. See at www.jfitzpatrickfootwear.com -- search the names
They just called it brown museum calf. www.tlbmallorca.com/products/oxford-van-gogh-museum-calf-brown-193 As per cream, well that is not as easily answered as museum calf has multiple shades to it. If you want to not darker the light spots using a mid brown cream if you want to maintain a darker look use dark brown cream
I don't have any TLB shoes but am planning on getting a pair this year. Would you suggest to go half a size up on this last as it seems to be a bit more snug ?
Seriously, you make snide comments without using your brain? That was the remote to the camera and I checked it to make sure the battery was good for the video!! Grow up.
TLB are fabulous shoes😊- if only they didn't use UPS delivery company for their dispatch. 😢 As long as shoe shops are few and far between, we all now rely on postal delivery. This is where the difference in customer experience now lies. There is now a real gap in the market for a good delivery company. I only used TLB once with this delivery company. They never arrived.
I gave up this TLB shoe company. I tried to email them, instagram, and use their own chat. Can't get a damn response. Not going to support a company that doesn't have any kind of customer service. I'll look elsewhere.
I've had the exact opposite experience. I bought the Van Gogh oxfords during the Black Friday sales and I've been in constant communication with TLB for the past week on nailing down my correct size. We've discussed shoes that fit me well, taking a picture of my foot with the length and even showing pictures of me with dress shoes on. We've agreed to keep the same size and they are mailing out additional leather insoles, at no additional cost, in case there is a discrepency in sizing.
@@jackobrien1026 Worst experience ever with TLB for me. It's not good when there is no communication especially with an international store. Glad to hear that he was able to assist you. I decided to go with 2 pairs of shoes from Antonio Meccariello. They responded to my email inquiries immediately.
What’s not to love on those. The U shape and color make these an excellent choice.
Indeed!

Sweet! Look forward to them, nothing like a new fresh pair of quality leather shoes 👞, especially with all the specialities ✨
I am a fan of the Picasso more I think. Good to see them doing well. Trivia, pronounced van hoh or xoh!
Thanks for sharing my friend! Potatoe Potatoh with these lasts ;-)

I love chisel toe, but i have a wide foot. Very nice patina!
You can get the shoes with G or H width which is 2x and 3x width
Nah, they look crazy.
This shoe silhouette reminds me of the Blackbird jet
Beautiful shoe , great review
Thank you 🙌
All good here with the H Width widest! They fit just fine , Also The Shoe Trees are on top .
Thanks for sharing Michael!
Did you size up on the tree to have a better fit for the wide width?
@@niniengineering I did not actually pick the trees, they came with the shoes, but I am pretty sure these ones were lasted if I recall correctly
@@theshoesnob_official yes they are lasted, but if I have a 9.5 in G did I need a tree in size 10? Because of the width…?
@@niniengineering iif they do not have lasted version in G then yes I would go up to a 10

Hey Ronald, I would probably go for the Picasso for that shoe. It will show the nice harder chisel shape ;-)

Hi Justin. I’m now watching this video for the fifth time and still can’t decide if this last shape can work well with a captoe or maybe a punched cap… what’s your thoughts?
I think it would for sure. Its a pretty versatile soft chisel last. I say go for it

No definitely not. My definition of more snug was very minimal. Stick with your usual size
How does the Van Gough compare to the Carmina "Rain" last. Could I get away with the same size?
I am not super familiar with Rain personally but from what I have read I believe sizing would be comparable.
@@theshoesnob_official thank you sir!

Do you ever wear the shoes you review?
Very rarely. I have my own shoe brand and make most of what I like, and need to represent my brand.
