As a kid, I was always confused why the gods in the film were so easily wounded and even killed by humans. It was my real first exposure to a different type of mythology and standards of what it means to be a god

Hi. This video is a re-upload of a video I posted last month. I received copyright claims from Warner Chappell on the first video which I believe are false and which I am currently appealing. I decided to cut out the claimed clips and re-upload the video for now because there is a chance Warner Chappell will delete my previous video during the appeal process. If my appeal is approved I will make the previous video public again and keep this one as a backup in case I get another claim. Obviously, I hate to re-upload a video that had 180k views but what bothers me more is all the great comments that may be lost. If you commented on the last video thank you so much and please comment on this one again. Please share this video so I can get the views back to where they were. Thanks again!

StoryDive - Hey Mr. Story Dive, ( S. D. ). For the next myth to be , And NEEDS to be , EXHAUSTIVELY EXPLAINED, researched, categorized, and all other etc.etc. On HBO a very scary /spooky/give you nightmares at night SERIES SHOW someone maybe you Story Dive could tell us the parts they leave out, explain partial information. THE OUTSIDER, kinda goes like this, a drop dead very pretty actress , ( hope she don’t drop dead) is a special ESP , Psychic, but more powerful than either description , very unique , Black Actress Cynthia Erivo battles against a malevolent Entity/Demon/Devil/Murderous Spirit, they , The Show does not exactly say WHAT this thing is. THE gifted gorgeous beautiful “Holly “ , the Black Actress, has said these Entities have existed throughout history for thousands of centuries, on every continent, in every country, NOW DISMISSED, by so called modern technology that cannot explain , only deny its / their existence, it takes over a body, somehow duplicates it, goes a hundred miles away, kills people/children,while the real human is at home or with family while this thing leaves your DNA ALL OVER , gets you seen and identified, only to DISAPPEAR, DISAPPEARS ! The real person, even with concrete ailibi, gets convicted. The thing can enter people though and control them through pain and possession and insanity. HEY S.D. - THIS IS THE NEXT MYTH , at least I think so, that MAYBE MAYBE you should research, look up, hunt down, I don’t know enough about this one it is NEW MYTHOLOGY, or maybe OLD MYTHOLOGY with a spin on it. ; b

My Japanese wasn't so great then so I didn't fully understand it all. Jiko's role really confused me. I just couldn't figure out what his allegiances/motivations were. The mud man is also part of the mythology of some Puebloan Native American tribes in the southwestern United States, who call them "Koyemsi" or "Tachukti" ("mud head" in English). The mudhead, however, are messengers, clowns, or symbols of the prohibition of incest.

The forest spirits antlers remind me of the antlers of Eucladoceros, an extinct species of deer with huge, multi-branches antlers. The name Eucladoceros, means "well-branched antler" in Greek. Could it be a possible inspiration for the forest spirits design?

The Japanese really should appreciate the nature and wildlife they have a little more. They have all these spirits and legends and yet they are one of those nations not doing much to preserve it, losing touch with it and even destroying it. Maybe the movie is supposed to be a little bit of a wakeup-call there as well.
After all in the end Lady Eboshi realizes they should 'build a good/better city from now on', probably implying that they will stop trying to overtake the forest and rather live together with it.
