Simple, Wynonna was fulfilling her mom last request, fulfill this commitment. Which is what Wynonna did.
This version is so much softer than the last performance with her mama. My heart breaks for her so much 😢
It was a tribute to Naomi and tributes are usually softer. Plus everybody else was just helping Wyonna out.

My mom took me to see The Judd's farewell concert back in 1991/2 when I was 14 years old. This has always been my moms and my song, and now my daughter and daughter in laws as well. This song has so much meaning and this was the most beautiful performance. Wynona, you are so loved. Your mama is looking down from heaven and I know she is so proud of you.

Bawling my eyes out. Wynonna went through so much her whole life over her mom. Naomi’s last act of suicide clearly wasn’t the end of the effects of her depression in her family. I love The Judds but I love Wy more because she has to carry on and carry all of that with her in her life still. How can anyone not not admire her more than ever for the strength she shows. I cannot be happier for all of the support she has surrounding her. You rock Wynonna!
