tommy, that is bullshit. the slower you play, the mistake is more obvious. you want to say mistake in playin is more obvious in grindcore than in the music earth is playing?
I don't know if people badmouthing the drumming of this are trolling or just completely unaware but this is insanely impressive and this is coming from somebody who has played and listened to incredibly technical and complex drumming their whole life.
drummer is great, all the members are great. The guy on keyboard is actually Stebmo who has been performed with Sunn O))) on their Life Metal tour. They're all really talented at what they do. Earth and Sunn O))) are two of my favorite bands
Adrienne Davies looks like she's actually drumming in slow-motion. I thought they were slowing down the film for a special effect, but that's what she really looks like.
Lots of stupid comments here. Are you all musicians? Seriously. Fire up your drum machine to 40 bpm and try to play. Play anything. Slow rhythm is extremely difficult. Music this slow is damn near impossible to execute correctly. At a slow pace all your mistakes will glare out and are totally unable to be hidden.

Adrienne Davies. Goddess of the groove. I spend hours at a time just trying to figure out her formula. How she achieves that hypnotic beat. I could listen to her drumbeats alone for eternity.
i play drum and she play well , I don't know why the people are focus only in this decltail , I have see a lot of band how play slow core like codeine, karate and more band like bedhead, red red meat , and this is the right mood to play togheter this kind of music
I feel like they need a second guitarist to do all the little experimental guitar sounds like the ones in their albums. The little experimental stuff here and there in their albums really adds a certain vibe I am not getting from watching this.
They're touring the new album with a second guitar. (No bass or keys). The second guitar is like a giant wall of sound behind Dylan and Adrienne. It really works for the new stuff and adds an interesting flare to the classics they throw in.
Maybe even the effects? I think to recognize 2 big Electro Harmonix... I think one is the Memory Man(old version), the other I don't know. And then there are 2 other effects(pedals), one is again EHX but smaller, and the other don't know. However I really like the tone of the Keyboardist as well as the rest of the band, and I really love EHX effects, they are my favourites...
Dylan was pretty sick and having a rough time with his health during that time, diagnosed with hepatitis B and liver damage. That's why physically he was swollen & looked different.
Meanwhile, she's played a part in founding something special. And you? What are you doing? You're whining on TH-cam about someone who has accomplished more than you will ever know in mommy and daddys garage.
I think the drummer is brilliant. Incredible control and sensibility. The whole band functions like they're telepathically linked.
Have you actually tried to?
I'm glad I don't have a drummer like you in my band. Now run along and wank to Origin or whatever....
Thank heavens for that. Ignorance and arrogance are a poor combination in a group situation, I find.
Tommy Farnsworth I think you're a brilliant troll.
"I suppose I could if I wanted"
"I'm actually rather humble"
Classic.
tommy, that is bullshit. the slower you play, the mistake is more obvious. you want to say mistake in playin is more obvious in grindcore than in the music earth is playing?
It's awesome to think that this song that had no name yet will become Old Black, one of their best pieces to date, on one of their bestest records. :)

Old Black is an amazing song, its mesmerizing.
"The bees made honey in the lion's skull" is one of my favorite albums, along with "lateralus", "long distance trip" and "advaitic songs"
The bees made honey is absolutely beautiful
This is one of the classic shows.
Hung From The Moon is going nowhere slow. Magnifique.
love the keyboards too. they add nicely to the sound
Earth's music is the best for reading Cormac McCarthy novels.
If Blood Meridian ever gets made into a film then I would love Earth to do the soundtrack!
RIP Cormac
The Hex album is directly inspired by blood meridian.

Woah. Watch it for a while at 2X speed, then change it back to normal and now they're playing in slow motion.
+Landon Balk That is amazing, mostly at around the 10:30 mark
They are playing in slow motion in the first place... without having to do that...
Wow. Thats crazy! It realy looks like slow-mo. And at 2x speed you can hear how good their timing really is!
thanks for sharing this beutifull moment
26:28 Down a notch... did I just hear that right? I swear to go they took it down so much they started to go back in time....

+craigdamage AGREED!
absolutely true! for an instrument like drums playing at this speed is the most unnatural thing ever! def takes lots of skill.
Amen
Absolutely correct. It's a whole different kind of discipline.
YES

This is awesome. Thank you.

Listening to earth is like driving on some desolate highway, while on heroin. Its always dark, just keep driving
I agree
I wana see earth and bardo pond at the bell house in Brooklyn. Sigh, that's my dream concert
Thank you.
это очень круто!!!
Yes. Please. Thankyou.
Steve Moore was coooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!
What a Genius...
This is great stuff!
17:30 so funny to see that foot trying to keep the time but obviously rushing
That was goofy 😂
Earth Rules 🤘
Special!
what guitar is he playing? looks like a lefty
Living in the gleam of a rusty butterknife.
Thorazine Rock Rules!
ED O'brien on bass.
Without sunn and earth we would be freeballing it
Is that Joe Preston on keys ?

There's someone that can recognize the keyboards? Especially the mini-keyboard on top of the big one...
Maybe even the effects? I think to recognize 2 big Electro Harmonix... I think one is the Memory Man(old version), the other I don't know. +Alien 'O The big keyboard is a Wurlitzer electric piano, the little one looks like a Casio SK1
true fans set the playback at .25 speed
Gonna check my blood tension..
Great drummer;;I hate playing this slow......
Some of this music would complement Bohren & der club of Gore perfectly , and vice versa.
Why Dylan looks so Strange? I Dont get it, maybe of the Hard Drug Use?
Dylan was pretty sick and having a rough time with his health during that time, diagnosed with hepatitis B and liver damage. That's why physically he was swollen & looked different.
If I had been there, I would have moshed in the front row the whole way through, just to mess people up.
I feel like my dose of merhadone is too high
thank fuck for being able to speed videos up now, this is only half listenable at 1.5 or 2 times faster.
The drummer needs to adjust her set more. ;)
change the drummer please!
Now why would you want to do that?
Try changing your face! It just wont work...
wtf w/ the drummer
boring
Yet here you are watching it...
@@Thurston86 No, I have no Idea how I got here or what this noise is.
@@MattC78 damn bro you really responded after 5 years?
gets boring after a few minutes. Needs different speeds to be cooler or more interesting.
The consistent slow speed is what makes it so interesting.
It’s already fast. You’re on meth.
And this band is boreing as hell .never did like them
Yet here you are watching and listening!
dies ist so langweilig...........
Wow this is the most unmetal thing I have ever seen....
define unmetal - respectively metal
Never bad mouthed a drummer before but.......hunchback of notre drum. Ugh.
Meanwhile, she's played a part in founding something special.
And you? What are you doing?
You're whining on TH-cam about someone who has accomplished more than you will ever know in mommy and daddys garage.
i love earth.,.. but i cant stand the drummer
damn bro u roasted me hard
