Bro. Goodpasture was so good to me and my family. We arrived in the City in 1967. My mother was a pianist from southern illinois and a good one, When we got to Chicago she started listening to FCD's radio program and loved what she heard. She knew that she would need some training and guidance to be able to bring that wonderful music into the church that she and my dad pastored. She got on a bus and found her way to First Church. She knocked on the door and who should answer but the great man himself. That meeting began a long friendship between the two of them and a lifelong love of black gospel music for me. THANK YOU for posting these wonderful memories.
Incredible sound!!!! I remember listening to this church over the radio all the way in Maryland over radio station WCFL when I was a teenager back in the 80's. They are still sounding like the angels in heaven has come down for a concert. God bless you First Church!!!!

You are correct. This arrangement was by Ralph Goodpasture, however, it is a variation of the hymn "Just A Little While To Stay Here" written in 1921 by E.M. Bartlett
@VantisDoroHall Your information is not correct. This song was written by Ralph H. Goodpasture.. i have personally seen the sheet music for this song. It may seem like another song but he did write this song.
