I feel like everyone doesn't highlight the fact JSN missed preseason with wrist surgery and wore a brace for the first 5 games before the bye. That's a huge deal for a rookie. After the bye he averaged over 10 points a game and he had multiple big plays called back on flags.
Anyone who thinks QJ is going to be a top WR this year, needs to go back and watch the tape. I’m a Charger fan. That dude is brutal. He has the butteriest hands I’ve ever seen.
No only that but according to Matt Harmon who charts receivers he had a historically bad season at getting open 😂
Biggest thing about the coaching staff change is they will be in 3 WR sets a heck of a lot more. That's why JSN will get kore targets.
unbiased seahawks fan here but J$N should be a lot better this year. it would surprise me if he cracked the top 16 WRs but with this new coaching staff they seem to be in love with our offense.
Metcalf and Lockett make the pick too risky IMO, JSN could surpass Lockett but not sure it’s worth the risk
Not a fan of Lockett and DK being there too, but I do have faith in JSN. Might just be too high on the adp for me honestly.
@@alfredo8413all fun and games till you see Jake Bobo getting targets again lol
I feel as tho JSN didn’t get many quality routes and targets. He honestly did great with what he had. QJ on the other hand… 😬
Mason, this is a fantastic video. Would you consider doing videos ideo where you breakdown the expectations of each NFL team. Kinda like how you did with Carolina in this one
Born and raised in Charlotte always will be a Carolina fan even though most of us dislike the owner. Someone has to get fed on this offense and I’m hoping one of those 4/5 players on the team can break out.
@@FlockfantasyPick one that didn’t have an ACL tear midway through last season.
@@FlockfantasyBrooks in 25 maybe, but then we just bought low on a sophomore who underwhelms their rookie year 🤔
Fun fact… even if you extrapolate Anthony Richardsons numbers to 759yars, 3 TDs, 1 INT and 59.5% completion…
Bryce young has a very similar first 4 games… 750 yards-5TDs-4INTs and 66.1% completion…
So what does that say about Richardson? Who has also sat all year and not practiced due to an injury on his throwing shoulder… why is everyone just all in on him? He’s a Daniel Jones that runs better
Because Richardson ran for 30 yds a game and over 1 rushing TD per game. In fantasy that is an enormous difference.
@@broadnerdmike6450 he’s a great RB I agree… but below average QB… that’s why I’m staying away from Pitman… and on top of that he hurt his throwing shoulder and didn’t practice the rest of the year
You can’t improve much without those team reps
I love the video. Was very entertaining. I tend myself draft WR a lot around the JSN range of the draft where he's going next to Addison and Odunze and Xavier Worthy. Montgomery and Kamara are going rounds ahead of them on FFPC
Can you please make a few auction draft strategy videos. A lot of us true veteran leagues only do auction drafts. Would love you thoughts on best strategy to utilize for 2024.
Appreciate the work man
I started Aj brown and Nico Collins, don’t know if I should go Nabers or DJ Moore.
I'm very confidently drafting Diontae Johnson as my last wr. Very clear wr 1 in carolina.
How is that very clear exactly? Adam thielen is still there as a slot safety blanket… as gross as that iss
@rb2322 he's really really old. Plus Diontae is listed as wr1 right now.
Thielen had over 100 receptions last season and is still the slot receiver. I wouldn't say it's very clear at all.
@@glimpse5038 Lol he was old last year too. And you better rank David Montgomery over Gibbs if you think depth charts matter that much.
Love Byrce's price on UD right now especially if I'm taking him as my QB3. Still too early to call him a bust!!
Hollywood brown gunna kill it this year he had lowest catchable ball rate in nfl last year and he chose to sign one year deal to boost his value playing with best qb in nfl
Put time stamps please
come here for what not to do on draft day.
I'm hoping QJ steps up. I traded Kupp for him and a first this offseason. So I'm hoping it works out.
QJ should have never been a 1st rd pick. Everyone said he was a project that needed a year or 2 to develop. The Chargers were terrible at drafting pre Harbaugh.
I honestly think JSN has a solid chance of leading Seatle in targets this year
If that happens the people drafting Metcalf at 2-3 turn will be CRUSHED
@Flockfantasy It's all speculation anyway but at the very least i think JSN will eat more into DK's targets. Kinda why I'm not super big on him this season
@@Flockfantasymetcalf was worth that investment I think once in his career
Idk why but I just really like JSN (more for dynasty than redraft), I feel like the consensus is kind of low on him but they are ignoring the obvious obstacles which you even touched on in the video. Injury coming into the year, having pure vets in front of him on depth chart but whenever he was given opportunities he looked good including that game winning catch against the eagles
I just think he’s getting written off a bit too early
Why does Kyren Williams go later than Saquon and Taylor, when he won’t have his qb vulture TDs away, and has had a better season more recently then both?
Because they drafted Corum who is a legit threat to eat into Kyren’s rushing attempts and receptions
@@roshan2865 is Corum taking 20% of snaps, really going to be worse than 10ish tds being vultures by Hurts/AR?
Mason, why isn’t context included in the JSN situation where Lockett has reached an age of regression and JSN can take his role?
Lockett is retiring next year most likely. and likely to end up take a huge backseat this year for JSN. The new OC is going to help DK, Walker and JSN
Lockett could play another 2-3 years. One of the safest players in the league in terms of protecting his body.
@willg1315 he could but if you watch him in interviews and how we'll he's doing in real estate. He has hinted he doesn't play much longer.
The question is: Can Quentin Johnston learn how to catch? Because that is the thing that held him back.
Grabbed JSN at round 6 in dynasty and wished i took Rice or anothe rookie honestly
Nah dynasty JSN all day. Locket is almost on the way out and who knows with his rice with his shaky out of football stuff
You can still sell JSN. He has held value and I'd bet another manager in your league wants him.
Bold prediction: QJ will be a top 35 WR in FPPG
The JSN hate is wild to me. Hes a very talented receiver that was used incorrectly last year.
"used incorrectly" hes on an offense with DK, Lockett, Fant, and Walker. He was used appropriately.
@@williamhermann6635no, he wasn’t. That oc is fired now. All WRs in Seattle are gonna be great under the new system imo
@@Moon22999 Theres only 1 football to go around and when you have all those weapons, JSN is always gonna be a secondary target. Still dont know why they even drafted him. Wasted pick.
@@williamhermann6635 why can’t he be better than DK? Yall just act like he’s purely behind DK for the future and not act like he could easily be WR1 A/B
@@Moon22999 Because hes not 6'4" 240 with 4.33 speed and 40 inch vertical that just bodies everybody. DK is a rare player. JSN is a nice player but hes not DK. Not even close. You dont just going to your #1 cuz you drafted another receiver. Stop with this crazy talk.
Something to also consider with Seattle is the presence of Sam Howell. I don't believe that unless we see an incredible change out of of Geno (I don't think we will) that halfway through the year he's benched. I don't think the Hawks end up being very good this year, and as such I think JSN will likely suffer for being on a bad team. I also think there are sweeping changes to the team next year.
I'm more interested in JSN next season when hopefully Seattle gets its shit together. DK has never put all the pieces together, and I think we'll think of him as kinda a Dez Bryant kinda guy except not as good. Athletic freak who never learned good route running or concentration.
All of this is to say, JSN will not be on any of my teams this year. Next year I think he could have a Nico Collins kind of revival.
To be fair to JSN, although Lockett is still there, he's going to be 32 in September, and is coming off his worst seasons since becoming a full time starter. I've always been low on Tyler Lockett for some reason and tend to be wrong about him, but there's gotta be a chance JSN tales over that role.
I think Bryce Young will be the anomaly to this rule considering the change in his situation
@@Flockfantasy we won’t regret Diontae Johnson and late round chuba 🤞 promise you
I think QB is slightly different. Plenty of QBs who have had horrible rookie seasons that went on to do well with help (Josh Allen, Joe burrow, A Richardson, jarred golf, Eli manning, John elway and the list goes on.
You’re forgetting JSN came into the season with a substantial wrist injury, add that into a whole new offensive scheme, tyler lockett regressing with age, JSN gonna have a solid improvement this season.
Even if he was healthy, he was never putting up monsters numbers. Not with DK, Lockett, Fant, and Walker on that offense too.
@@Moon22999 What does the OC have to do with it? JSN isnt their best receiver. Hes not even their 2nd best receiver. Not to mention, theres Geno Smith lmfao.
Dave Canales is the QB whisperer let’s not say Bryce is goin to the Super Bowl but he will improve
Not a Ladd McConkey fan eh?
You will eat those words sir, next Edelman
JSN will be filthy once Lockett is gone. Just too much established WR talent on the roster for him to truly shine
Crazy to say Bryce is a bust lol
Way too soon for all that. Most rookies are bad. Perfect example is Jordan Love. Dude was so bad as a rookie he didnt even dress for a single game that year. Now look at him.
waldron called one of the worst offensives i have seen last year JSN must have had a terrible depth of target due to all the useless bubble screens hes not deebo for god sakes
weren't you like the biggest JSN truther ever?

@@adynfowler8383 i just have a hard time taking hall over last years number 1 pick
Hey Mason! New viewer here. I like the statistical standpoint you bring, but in my opinion, feel free to correct me, but from a statistical standpoint there’s much to be done for the Bryce young data. First of all the population size is too small, according to large counts condition which we do n(1-p) and n(p), both should be
I just want to say you’re a 🐐. Good day.
True but look at Josh Allen. He was horrible for two seasons but then his year three he came out and crushed it
To be fair to QJ, he is still in a perfect spot to blow up if he ever cleaned up his game.
I love your channel and watch all your videos. BUT I think you’re missing an important aspect of your analysis, and it causes you to miss on players like Kyren, Puka, Pacheco, to name a few.
Gotta start paying attention to each team’s news out of OTA and camp. Puka was KILLING it all off season last year. I’m not a Rams fan, I just google every team “OTA standout” or “chemistry with ___ QB”. I think stellar reports in practice should outweigh your athleticism metrics.
Anyway, I always look forward to your videos and hope all of the Flock finds continued success in fantasy!
JSN is gonna take a massive leap this year, it would be dumb for Seattle to not feed him
Qj really only got weeks like 7-13 with herb and Mike will or Allen hurt rest was bad play calling & Easton stick
Still waiting on that “statistical perspective” bra
I saw anecdotes
Also, data shows that year 2 is far far more important to determining this
I just cant stop myself from drafting Quentin Johnston on underdog 😂 the price on him is just crazy. Looking at him vs JSN just makes JSN look crazy overpriced. Way better qb and whos he competing with for targets? Josh palmer and Ladd mcconckly or whatever his name is? Just seems like the chances of him being the WR1 on his team are just as high as JSN being the WR2 on his.
Yeah his price on UD makes sense, just a wasted pick in a regular league
I don’t care, I will be drafting JSN in every league and I’ll laugh when he booms. He missed the beginning of his rookie season, then turned out to be a reliable target when he got going. He’s go everything u want and Lockett is ancient history
Booms? 😂😂😂 don’t hold your breath. Stop playing fantasy with your heart
I wish jsn had the chance because Lockett and dk and holding him back
Maybe JSN being there is "holding back" DK and Lockett 🤔 if he were so great and deserved it, he'd overcome the competition
A+
I despise Quentin Johnston and somehow he’s one of my most drafted players on underdog so far lmao
I keep convincing myself Herbert is above average and he has to throw the ball to someone. QJ is there so late in drafts, it’s hard for me to pass in some spots.
Yet when I watch him play, I see trash lol
Quentin Johnson is a bad WR in a run first Greg Roman offense... do not draft him lmao
Yup on Underdog his price is just so cheap, he's most likely not gonna work out but neither are the other WRs being drafted after WR70
Hot take: JSN will make the WRs top 100. BRYCE Young will make QBs top 50!
Way too soon to call Bryce Young a bust.
Bryce young will surprise a lot of people
@@Flockfantasy don’t take my word for it, I’m just a delusional panthers fan
Can you please start making videos about normal fantasy football instead of this underdog thing? I have no idea what underdog is about, and it isn't even legal or available in my state.
