Oh happy day! It's about time that a authentic recording studio (like Flipsville) is recording other retro style music such as jazz and swing. For many years (or even decades) it was rockabilly. On and off blues. Lately vintage country and western swing bands started using the good ol' recording sound on tape, worldwide; e.g. Pat Reyford with his Sugar Ray's Studio (UK) etc. Somehow I'm kinda tired of Lightning Recorders in my home town Berlin, as it's always the same music genre and backing band (for the vocals). I hope you folks are on the right track promoting this music on the same level as rockabilly. Old and good music has a variety of genre and bands. So go ahead on. These two rhythm section guys (Hellman, guitar and Juusola, bas) I have recently found playing with Leffe Jonson (Ransater 2015). To say there is nothing wrong with this rhythm section would be extremely downgrading, for they are PLAIN EXCELLENT !!! The sound so perfect ... , as if it is from 30s !
