This was incredible! Funster, Flick of the Wrist, Innuendo, Ogre fucking Battle! Great to ser these songs done live, Jeff and his band did Queen justice on this night!
For those who still don't think Queen is the best band ever.. They didn't even touch the greatest hits and they rocked the very core of my soul!!! Queen rules. Great cover
BIRMINGHAM, UK! Jeff Scott Soto has just announced he will be playing The Asylum on April 5th 2013. He is an incredible singer and well worth a watch and a beer!
One of the greatest singers ever performs some of the greatest songs ever from one of the greatest bands ever. Thank you so much Jeff. Absolutely unbelievable.
i absolutely love how they acknowledge even queen early era and not just the well know stuff. ogre battle is one of my most favorite songs from what i consider to be the best album ever and its so great seeing jeff so some of it
I bought the full DVD - what a great band, what a divine singer. Queen fans - buy this. You'll love every single minute of it!! For Apple fans: Jeff plays home recorded piano tracks on the stage from an Apple iBook and sings all Queen ballads a capella to it - greatest moments.
That's sensational! Thanks for posting. Great voice... great guitar work... great selection.... great everything! "To the EEEEENNNNDDD of time" was sensational.
@jvillanuevamtz I am really impressed at the job that JSS and Howie Simon did. I know it would never happen in real time, but yes, I too find myself wishing that a talent like JSS would land with the 3 remaining Queen members. I grew up with Paul Rodgers and some of his Free and Bad Company stuff is peerless; but for where he is in life now, to be with Queen...I mean...who thought that up? It sounds dismal to me.
I do think Soto fit better in Journey than in Queen. That being said, not a lot of people can pull Queen songs off as well as Soto does. Paul Rodgers just happens to be one of those people.
Excellent!!! Search here for "Great king rat/ Son and daughter - Opera". Very nice covers by this Chilean band. They´re not a cover band but they always include one or two Queen songs in thier shows. Enjoy!
Holy Shit- This guy is amazing! Perfect tuning and timing, amazing much mora than YJM perfect, he should make a band with Kotzen, Doug Wimbish,Portnoy and Sherinian on bass! ahuaka It´s a dream, but would be perfect! pqp caralho meu perfeito cara,até I´m IN love with my car foi do cacete!
yoerz.....clean out your ears! Jeff Scott Soto is excellent! I have heard many singers do Queen songs, and so far JSS and Paul Rodgers are the only ones who have done them justice.
im trying to find the first Queen song he sings I LOVE FREDDIE!!! LOVE LOVE and i think this dude does a great job of it, anyone know where i can find it? its entertainer???
NOT AT ALL! Follow the first link in the info pane on the right. TH-cam screwed up synchronization on this video when they changed to their high and low quality system.
Fredide have the posibility to sing ROCK, OPERA, POP... i like this medley because he sing a diferent medley like the other bands... and Jeff is a good singer... he is not freddie and he don't have the intetion to replace Freddie... he is Jeff Scot singing quen songs... nothing more
I played bass for Jeff the year before this video, and he's a fantastic singer, but this video doesn't sync with the soundtrack. Is it taken from a (heavily processed) CD and just superimposed over random video footage?
Listening this art in 2024... Still impressive!!!! Amazing performance! I remember to listen that show in mp3 format, back in 2008's
Jeff has an amazing voice and stage presence. He is a huge Queen fan and has never thought for a minute he could replace Freddie.
Jeff has an awesome voice and total power! Long live Queen!
Most people don't know that he was only 18 when he first sang for Yngwie.
Nice job. Freddie would be proud.

love that they go into Flick of the Wrist after Tenement Funster! Awesome!!!
Wonderfull voice, brilliant performance.
I still can't believe that Brian and Roger choose Paul Rogers to sing Queen's songs.
Paul is a legend
he has a great theatrical voice..
WOW!

Jeff is one of my favorates singers, and he feels queen songs as the real fan he is... really great!!!

Haha, good stuff, nice mix of the lesser-known to obscure songs. The "grease gun" thing was funny.
exelente :D
Love this guy voice....

I'm guessing Brian May would be intimidated by his curls haha ;)
This voice are Hard Rock in person, great cover, great band
Brilliant!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh...God....... :)
Queen, é tudo de bom!!!!
Foi a Banda!!!
Superb
It's all in his hands, dude. That's where tone comes from, single coils or humbuckers. Listen to how clean and percussive his picking is.
Only johnny lokks like Freddie, but Jeff still one of the best and he sings very well
awesome........
like the album tenement funster an then flick of the wrist and inneendo yeah great medley
Realmente bueno!
@thestormbringer1999
it's called death on two legs, taken from a night at the opera album
That's cool.
yeah!!!! I agree!
I miss Freddy and Steve. This guy is good, but I believe my Journey concert going days are finally over. Rest in peace Brad Delp.
Muito bom !!
Great
nice
tenement funster ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oh yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right on brother! One of the best Roger Taylor songs ever!
I do think Soto fit better in Journey than in Queen.
That being said, not a lot of people can pull Queen songs off as well as Soto does. Paul Rodgers just happens to be one of those people.
Great voice... but serious kudos must go to the backing vocalists! Fantastic!
Excellent!!!
Search here for "Great king rat/ Son and daughter - Opera". Very nice covers by this Chilean band. They´re not a cover band but they always include one or two Queen songs in thier shows. Enjoy!
@imusthavewhisky There used to be a version of Innuendo by Queensryche on You Tube. That was an awesome cover! I wish I could find it again.
He got close! Check out Sons of Apollo
I don't get why queen don't use him when they play
yoerz.....clean out your ears! Jeff Scott Soto is excellent! I have heard many singers do Queen songs, and so far JSS and Paul Rodgers are the only ones who have done them justice.
no kiddin'
im trying to find the first Queen song he sings I LOVE FREDDIE!!! LOVE LOVE and i think this dude does a great job of it, anyone know where i can find it? its entertainer???
Death On Two Legs? ;)
He has a long solo career and sang in a couple of bands.
ty.. sorry its so long i forgot my password..lol
@TemmiStudios Tenement Fuster from sheer heart attack
I liked more Tenement Funster in Jeff's voice than in Roger's voice....weird cause I rarely like covers....This guy kicks Paul Rodgers ass!
from about 5:03 - don't the hairs on the back of your neck always stand whenever you hear the intro to innuendo?
Yeah, I'm sorry! TH-cam messed up synchronization on my videos when introducing the high- & low-quality system a couple of months ago.
Go to Jeff Scott Soto's homepage and click "online store"
What is the song after princess of the universe?
who's the guy on bass? It looks like Pete Sorvino who played with Blackmore's Night.
If only JSS had sung innuendo at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert instead of Robert Plant, it might have made the DVD! :P
NOT AT ALL! Follow the first link in the info pane on the right.

new queen lead singer? NOT BAD
Agreed - would love to see this man do a stint with Queen :D
But, check out Roger Taylor's track...
The Unblinking Eye.
It Kicks Ass!!
Jajajaja !
Freakintastic !
Fredide have the posibility to sing ROCK, OPERA, POP... i like this medley because he sing a diferent medley like the other bands... and Jeff is a good singer... he is not freddie and he don't have the intetion to replace Freddie... he is Jeff Scot singing quen songs... nothing more
hes pretty good, cant hold a candle to mr bad-guy
I played bass for Jeff the year before this video, and he's a fantastic singer, but this video doesn't sync with the soundtrack. Is it taken from a (heavily processed) CD and just superimposed over random video footage?
I'm sure he would be great Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar :-)
But way better than PAUL RODGERS !!!!!!
what are you talking about?
Gary Schutt is a great singer himself
!hombre, busca Adam Lambert with queen...ya me diràs...bueno, por supuesto esa es una gran voz de todos modos..
