hi Naomi! swedish person here! Both "dammsugare" and "polly" have arrak in them, which is a type of brandy or schnapps so to speak, us swedes love alcohol :D Also the pickles you bought are called "salladsgurka" or "sötgurka" which literally means sweet cucumber. You are supposed to put them either on a sandwitch with liver paste or on cheese! You can also eat them on the side of some swedish stews, one in perticular is called "kalops" which is meat based, a classic. Ikea is ofc very popular in sweden, but Ikea meatballs are nothing like the home made ones. I hope you can come to sweden soon, id love to see you there! ^^

I live in the U.S. as well. I live in Tennessee. I have visited Missouri a few times though growing up. My ex boyfriend's mom used to live there and she has family that still live in that area and we used to go there during Thanksgiving to visit their family. The green pastries are called damsugare (vacuum cleaner) because at bakeries they would mix up all day old pastries they didn’t sell and put arak (an alcoholic drink) in it to moisturise and flavour the “dough”. They are decorated to look like old vacuums since they “cleaned up” whatever was left over in the bakery 🟫🟩🟫
We have them in denmark too! just called Træstammer (treelogs) but they are usually white, the green ones we call punschruller (punschrolls) i didnt know you had em too!
That's interesting cause we actually have something similar in Germany called "Granatsplitter" - a cake thingy (usually with alcohol) made out of leftover cake
@@solus8685 in Poland we also have something similar it's called bajaderka looks like a little ball in chocolate glaze with coconut flakes or crushed almonds on it, and ofc has alcohol mostly rum, it's really interesting how many variants are on the same base in this case leftovers from the bakery :D
Sounds a bit like Rumkugeln (translates to rum balls) my mom makes when its Christmastime. But she uses old cookies (mostly from last Christmas xd) and chocolate for it. Usually you would apparently use real rum to put more flavor in but she only uses rum flavouring. At the end she covers the little balls in chocolate sprinkles.

Hey Naomi, this is gonna sound so random but I recently rewatched one of your videos where you get a piercing and it seemed like you were getting a little faint when recovering, this happens to me from time to time. What really helps me is hydrating (coconut water seems to help me more than regular water), laying down and there are a few muscle exercises where tensing leg and arm muscles in a sitting position can help circulation. It can be really scary to feel that way. This is just what works for me. Anyway, random moment of really late concern from me. Take care! Love your channel.

The pickles here in Sweden generally come in two different main varieties, one is more sweet and one is more salty. You tried the sweet one! // Swedish person
6:08 in Finland you actually get jam instead of the greens, and you can actually choose if you want potato puree or fries, we have a lot thicker sauce also we don't have jello there, it's only pies and buns or donuts
Regarding the pickles, we have 2 kinds in Sweden. The sweeter ones are also called "smörgåsgurka" (directly translates to sandwich cucumber 😅) and we commonly add those to sandwiches with liver paté. But we have regular pickles as well 😅 the green pastry in Sweden is called dammsugare (vacum cleaner 😅) where the green stuff is marzipan. The filling I'm not sure what's in it but it's good ❤️
I find it both appropriate yet hilarious that in Germany something called "Food of the Gods" is just a weird Jello/gelatin dessert, and here in the southern USA there is a dish called Ambrosia (which was the food of the gods in Greek mythology) that is just weird fruit salad dessert. 😆
LMFAO! The upside down Mona Lisa art and you say.. "Oh My God, it's Lisa Mona!"... It took me out! That was hilarious. Vincent got it 3 seconds later. I'm glad he laughed! Adorable.

As a swede I love the food at IKEA, especially the meatballs! But I can imagine it is a little bit different in different countries. Also the almond pastry are with arrak and are very loved here, we call them "dammsugare" which means vacuum cleaner (or literally translated vacuum is dust sucker, damm-dust sugare-sucker).
"Dessert sauce" (vla) is really popular in NL, and we also just eat it ✨raw✨, or with little chocolate balls! Also comes in different flavours, so it's worth a try if you ever visit the Netherlands 🤤
Hi Naomi! You and Vincent should come visit Swedish IKEA , I can guarantee you it’s better ;) our chicken with bearnaisesauce is a-mazing. The fish you were eating I have never seen at Swedish ikea ever haha!
Strange how you could be living anywhere in the world and yet have similar growing up experiences if you went to IKEA as a child lol. You didn't have it in the video but I remember getting their lingonberry sauce with the meatballs and fries and it was a heavenly experience. Also weirdly enough, their pumpkin spiced latte at the café is lowkey better than Starbucks.......???
I laughed at the 'pastry with almond paste'. Those are very dutch. They're called 'bokkenpootjes'. We don't sell green onces though, just regular marzipan colour. Edit: I mixed them up with a similar looking pastry. They're not 'bokkenpootjes', but 'mergpijpjes'. The reason I mixed them up: I dislike both, so I haven't seen them for a long time xD.
I used to get Princess Cakes every time I went. 🤤 It was sponge cake with a layer of jam and a dome of whipped cream covered in a thin layer of marzipan. They were sooooo delicious! But after COVID, they stopped serving them at the IKEA near me. ☹️ Now I can only get them frozen and they’re just not the same.
The green cakes look super similar to a Dutch treat called "Mergpijpjes", they look the same from the outside but are white in the middle instead of green and we don't put anything alcoholic in them. Here they're just little cakes (like a small vanilla cake) with some cream and jam in the middle and then the outside is marzipan and chocolate.
the most surprising to me was that the meatballs didn't come with lingonberry sauce ?! That's the best part of it, potato+mash+lingonberry bite ! aaaaaa lol Also I LOVE me some cheap cinnamonrolls from IKEA lol
As a Swedish IKEA employee watching this, let me just say: 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️ also, the green snack thing is called a dammsugare in Sweden which literally means vaccume. Hilarious that you wrote Kukie🍪 cus that would translate to D*ckie in Swedish 😅
Do you have IKEA where you live? 🤓

The filling I'm not sure what's in it but it's good ❤️
Dom flesta säger arrak/punch så jag antar att det är därifrån smaken kommer
I find it both appropriate yet hilarious that in Germany something called "Food of the Gods" is just a weird Jello/gelatin dessert, and here in the southern USA there is a dish called Ambrosia (which was the food of the gods in Greek mythology) that is just weird fruit salad dessert. 😆
In UK we have Ambrosia which is a brand of custard pudding
LMFAO! The upside down Mona Lisa art and you say.. "Oh My God, it's Lisa Mona!"... It took me out! That was hilarious. Vincent got it 3 seconds later. I'm glad he laughed! Adorable.
I’m from North Carolina in the US the closest ikea is 4 hours away😅😫😭 also love your videos been a long time fan!!! You should try some southern food for a video next time you come to the states! Love you long time!!🥰😘
I LOVE these videos!! I actually prefer your food/experience vids over makeup vids! Love ya girl!
Naomi’s vanilla sauce addiction is something I didn’t know would make me feel so happy yet confused
I just hope Naomi realizes she is the coolest chick in Berlin
IKEA is really popular here in the UK, I love the vegan not-meat balls and vegan hotdogs. I bought that exact same rug for my kitchen ❤️ love you guys ⭐️
BTW, we have exactly the same food as your IKEA 🌟
I really rediscovered you and I'm obsessed. You are geniune and totally my style. I'm frome Belgium and hope that if i visit Germany, I meet you. You rock girl. Keep on doing what you do!
I loved this so much:') made me smile on this grey, dark day ❤️
can only recommend ikea furniture :D
when i moved i bought stuff from german , austrian and swedish furtniture stores and let me tell you
the people at ikea who design the stuff are NEXT LVL
assembling ikea stuff was actuall fun and not a borderline breakdown situation like furniture from mömax xD
Mömax furniture is the worst when it comes to assembling 😂
@@bundavica161 oh believe me when i tell you that i lost my patience at several points and just said " fuck it" and put more screws in and hammered stuff in place.
Jealous that it’s that way in Europe, in the US ikea furniture is the opposite
I love seeing foreigners speak their language with that perfect accent, idk why i had to share this but here u go ig lol
Would be cool if you actually went to Ikea here in Sweden and compaired them!
Literally the very beginning
The very beginning of this video 😩
Living for it, Dying for it, Inhaling oxygen for it!!!! Periodt. 💓
Ik denk dat dit custard is. Geen vla. Al lijkt het natuurlijk wel op elkaar 🤷☺️
Vla is also very popular in Germany, you can also buy it here in some supermarkets :)
I love when you try food from different countries! Pls come to Sweden some time I love your videos Naomi!!!
3:33 I WAS NOT READY FOR "LISA MONA"
I laughed at the 'pastry with almond paste'. Those are very dutch. They're called 'bokkenpootjes'. We don't sell green onces though, just regular marzipan colour.
Edit: I mixed them up with a similar looking pastry. They're not 'bokkenpootjes', but 'mergpijpjes'. The reason I mixed them up: I dislike both, so I haven't seen them for a long time xD.
arent they called mergpijpjes
@@vlaaa_0.0 yes, yes they are. I mixed them up. Ik vind beiden dan ook echt vies, dus ben niet heel bekend met ze xD
@@sansanpanda5346 oohhh hahahah dat kan gebeuren
Træstammer in Denmark
Bokkenpootjes zijn ook erg lekker😉
I used to get Princess Cakes every time I went. 🤤 It was sponge cake with a layer of jam and a dome of whipped cream covered in a thin layer of marzipan. They were sooooo delicious! But after COVID, they stopped serving them at the IKEA near me. ☹️ Now I can only get them frozen and they’re just not the same.
i think we have almost the same stuff in ikea in Czechia🙌 i love things from there, deserts and the balls (idk what are they called) are amazing 😩😩😭
I’m just in love with your business walk! Sorry but now I use it as well 🙄
As someone who speaks Swedish I laugh when I go to IKEA because of the “good morning” bathroom series
the most surprising to me was that the meatballs didn't come with lingonberry sauce ?! That's the best part of it, potato+mash+lingonberry bite ! aaaaaa lol
Also I LOVE me some cheap cinnamonrolls from IKEA lol
Love how the intro was like
Kid: "Mom can we have Sweden?"
Mom: "We have Sweden at home"
*The Sweden at home:*
MY STRANGE ADDICTION EPISODE WHEN?! (iykyk)
Her hair looks amazing with the mullet style and the pastel colors
I will now forever call custard "vanilla sauce" 🤣
Custard is actually called Pudding in germany and it’s not the same thing as vanilla sauce since pudding (custard) is way thicker lol
IKEA FOOOODDD?! I THOUGHT THEY SOLD FURNITURE 🪑 🤣
IKEA is actually a restaurant where they also sell furniture rather than a furniture store with a restaurant. I'm a Swede, I should know. 😏😄
I JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! YOUR CONFIDENCE GIVES ME CONFIDENCE!!! If you were in my country you and Vincenzo would be my fraans
Literally the only TH-camr I watch because you’re just so effortlessly funny and relatable :’) ❤
sometimes i go to Ikea just to eat cake there.
Am i the only one haha
