Honestly Chica commenting about Afton looking like he anticipated his fate isn't a stretch. The man seemed deranged and almost eager when he donned the suit at the end. "I always come back!" indeed. Granted the universes are different, and if anything the Afton of the movies seems even more of an irredeemable monster than the book/gamr universe, but still. He was directing the enslaved souls in the animatronics. I imagine his unholy experiments progressed much faster as well, so he probably had a gambit to persist after his death the same way the children did.
The book version is Pretty Much the same as the movie version (with a few differences) I always liked Afton (both game, book and movie versions) to be an irredeemable monster...i mean he kills children that Should Already be labled as an irredeemable monster
@nat_479 not everyone is "born wrong" and an irredeemable monsters from the start. They end up that way through their actions. The fact that they didn't start that way doesn't make them any less irredeemable, but it gives them more depth.
