1. High hats are a cymbal. They have a pedal that makes them open and shut. Usually, you'll see a drummer in a band setting a fast beat with the high hats and then the snare and bass drum overlay it.
2. Check out an old song - "Do You Feel Like We Do" by Peter Frampton. He sings his song through the guitar sounds, which add a "wahwah" like effect. It's one of the earliest examples of that type of music. Was a super popular album back in the 80's.
3. Yeah, music is divided into measures. A sixteenth note is 1/16 of a measure. So you have 16 notes per measure. That sets up a "tempo" to the music.
4. Melody is the like top part of the music. What most people remember. They're pretty sounding notes tied together. Rhythm is what backs up the melody and add depth to it.
5. Hooks are what get your attention. They're the part of the song that you'll "remember". What says "Hey, this is the chorus, you're gonna be singing this for weeks"
6. 80's had a lot of "synth" music in it, especially in the R&B scene. Lotta pretty sensual music. Should 100% just check out a nice old 80's music playlist.
8. The heart of the music. What sets the rhythm to the song.
9. The big bass drum in a drum kit is played with a kick pedal - so yeah.
11. Harmonies are where two different melodies are playing at the same time, but each of them is playing at a different note. This adds some depth to the song and overlays, creating more texture and overall "heart" to the music.
I used to have friends in the music industry and did music for like 10 years, mainly guitar and drums. So I don't know everything, but I hope this helped add some more definition and answers to anything above. I love talking about music :D

10:13 I think what I understood of what mr. reactor was explaining was that Soyeon was given a difficult verse bc the rhythm was just consistent so she had to deliver it in a flow driven rap unlike the second rap verse that has more melody into it. Good thing Soyeon is a music producer and songwriter, she can deliver her verse damn too well.
To clarify, the second verse he was referring to was not sung by Soyeon. Starting at the line "Sorry for the bad news, sorry I'm so bad" and up until just before the pre-hook "I'm doing damage went just how I planned it" was actually sung by the VA for Kai'sa, whom I believe to be Wolftyla in this song (if Genius is correct). Soyeon only rapped the opening verse and the ending.

The whole song's a masterpiece, but there's something so badass about the 9:16 part. Whoever sings it goes down to a C#3 in both verses, and that rich, powerful timbre is to die for. So good!

They also have headphones made for let you listen the real sounds, without any proccesing in between, normal headphones or even gaming headphones have some equalizer for making sounds more inmersive, but in music industry they don't look for that, that's why they have different headphones. Those headphones make a huge difference btw, of course music producer are also accustomed to put attention to the details of what they listen

Do not know if anyone’s commented about the champions so I’ma just spit some knowledge out because that’s what I like to do (long comment).
Ahri: A burst mage, she’s normally known for assassinating targets at mid range. She can charm people to kill them easier. She has 3 dashes in her ultimate which gives her the mobility to land her spells much easier. However, she isn’t as efficient in single target assassinations compared to Evelynn, can’t deal as much consistent damage as Kai’Sa, and can’t excel in long fights like Akali can, shes more like a Jack of All Trades really. Although she’s currently known as the “slow everyone down” champion.
Akali: a close quarters combat assassin who excels in assassinating single targets and fighting in prolonged team fights due to her abilities to stealth right in the enemies face and dash all over the battlefield. Her only drawbacks are her lack of crowd control (stuns, snares, etc.) her difficulty in playing, and that she’s melee which ranged champions like Ahri can abuse.
Evelynn: is a close quarters assassin like Akali but is more suited to assassinating single targets. She also has stealth like Akali does and can charm like Ahri can. However, she is not that good in massive prolonged fights compared to everyone else so she either has to end the fight early or wait for opportune moments to strike.
Kai’Sa: She’s known as an ADC (attack damage carry) who’s able to output a TON of consistent damage. She’s more suited for prolonged fights than anyone else listed here. If she’s ignored during a fight, expect her to absolutely melt everyone in the fight. She has stealth and a dash like everyone else but only can’t use them as often or as effectively compared to Eve, Akali, or Ahri can. But she makes up for that in pure damage.

@@nhattran3499 yeah I think some people might be getting a _little_ carried away with their hype (not that I blame them!) but aside from Yasuo, the credits list "Akali" as a producer so I'm pretty sure that's just a lore thing with Akali producing for K/DA. Wouldn't surprise me if Soyeon actually did have a hand in the song though. But yes Soyeon is a very talented writer/composer who does most of (G)I-DLE's music :)

technically there isnt actually much of a difference. youtube streams at 192 kbps, spotify premium at 320 kbps? either way when it comes to frequencies you are only missing a bit of the high end, hard to notice even with good headphones. spotify likely sounds better just because it is louder.

I think the harmonies on the "gonna break the rules" is a vocoder, about 40% blended with the basses and synths. Such a distinctive sound, love it!

Soyeon is such a good amazing rapper for her generation she does Kali amazing 😍. Idk if you’ve watch gidle videos but you should check out Lion, Oh My God and the newest Hwaa and señorita by them.

not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but league also has a huge handful of login screens they used to use on the client with /really/ awesome music. i would recommend checking them out / listening (not necessarily reacting, since its just a moving wallpaper lmao) to them because. woah. almost cried listening to one while working
