People in the West are being censored by their media outlets. Huawei is now selling this phone because it wants to sell more cars that utilize its technology, from infotainment systems to autonomous driving solutions. Huawei-backed Aito M9, a full-size SUV, has already become the best-selling passenger car in the price range of about 500,000 RMB. Huawei’s next target is to dominate the Chinese auto market with more affordable cars. Why is Huawei so concerned about the car market? It needs to sell its AI chips as well, and autonomous driving technology is currently the most appealing selling point in the Chinese market.
