Gotta have seen and loved the first one to appreciate what they did with the sequel. It wasn't that great of a film but more of fanfare and a shout-out to fans of the original with all of the callbacks to the sequel. Would've been better as a series instead of a film so we could get more of a story on the daughters, the Mcdowell family, Simi & Akeem, etc. They forced too much into 2 hours and lost out on building story of Zamunda and even Queens.....which is what made the first film what it was....we had more backstory and context to the two different locations in the film along with Characters.
