- Sole possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Football Conference is on the line as Missouri State visits North Dakota State in Fargo on Saturday. Both teams are 6-0 in league play. It marks just the second time in MVFC history that two teams faced one another after winning their first six league games. MVFC correspondent Jim Powers recaps top performances from a week ago, including Missouri State’s Jacob Clark career-high 431-yard, 4-TD game at Murray State; QB Jake Curry's 322-yard, 3-TD game in a record-setting comeback against Youngstown State; Charles Pierre Jr. of South Dakota in USD's second shutout of the season; RB Wenkers Wright of Illinois State, who had 109 yards and two TDs in the road win at UNI; and WR Griffin Wilde of South Dakota State who set a career-high with three receiving TDs in the win against nationally ranked North Dakota.
