Woozi is the only one who went there to give proper feedback and judge them instead of being biased. The other judges are a mess replace them with woozi
Ikr even tho i don't follow r-u-next i had watched a few performances and i don't really get in what basis they are judging contestants. I remember one performance where 3 girls were performing and 1 stood out the most her vocal was so really good her live singing were perfect but they choose the other 2 girls live vocals were pretty normal but they were quite famous and more pretty and judges chose them and gave the lowest rank to the other one.
wishing he was a permanent judge :( he was so concise and articulate with his feedback - in his short time on the show he really made use of that time well to mentor the girls well!
I don’t want to blame the judges, but WOOZI knows how to use kind words while letting them know what they have to improve. I mean…what they said might be true, but in competitive environment, keeping contestants encourage is not bad. Harsh words cannot use with everyone as same as kind words. Whatever it is, letting them know what they are lacking or what they should improve is the most important in survival show (in my opinion). Everyone comes from different skills. Who’s know if we can see interesting improvements from those trainees.
agreed. this came from Woozi's experience. Seventeen themselves said feedbacks are nice but harsh ones or those who only say "sing it again" without really pointing out the proper way to sing it won't really help the trainees. That's why watching Seventeen's recording where they actually really help each other fix their tune is a good way to really enjoy the recording and actually improve a lot.
I know this is nothing to do with Soyeon but I think Woozi and Soyeon (G-Idle) are 2 of the best composers/producers in the kpop industry! They both give feedback that is truly helpful for the trainees and they don’t focus on looks but actual talent and hard work.
They have quite similar personalities too i cant help but see similarities between them whenever i watch them lol, major difference is soyeon loves being and acting cute😅
Woozi is a proper vocal coach and he knows what’s right and he knows for himself because he’s a leader of the vocal team in seventeen And yeah the other judges are saying whatever that comes to their minds so thank you Woozi for giving them a proper response what’s it like to be in a band even if the practice singing and Focusing on their vocals
I clicked bc woozi and I didn’t watch any of these episodes before this one but I might watch it now bc I am really invested in these. I am not sure if the show ended but I would love to watch it back and see all the girls On thing tho: I really don’t like the “worst” thing.. it was like this in &audition too (at least some voting in these lockers) I think and it’s really heart breaking to see the disappointment. On one side I get it to tell them and like a feedback, it can motivate but it also can be sure as hell be so Discouraging. I mean, yeah, I know what it is like in these shows they don’t support them positively and even evil edit but I think there should be more of positive feedback, and not negative discouraging.

Most of the toxic comes from the judges and editor's evil editing. I don't blame the trainees tho. Because this is a competition, some of them may be competitive but still, they're working hard to reach their goals. Even it's toxic but it still a great time seeing these young girls running towards their dream.
I'm mean no hate, but is it just me that thought it was kind of annoying how the Minju girl cried after getting ONE worst sticker and yet the girl who got NINE of them never cried? Like yeah, she's confident in her skills, but she's quite cocky and she even said that she knew she was good but then started getting paranoid and everything after one sticker...
its more of an expectation thing, both trainees' expectations of themselves and the outcomes of their performances. The girl who got nine stickers messed up several of her lines and she knows it, so she expected to get many 'worst' stickers because she was notably worse than the other 3. Minju on the other hand said that she was most confident in her singing, and that it was better than her dancing and performing skills (which had been fairly rated). This naturally creates higher expectations from herself in her performances. When that one 'worst' sticker was given to her performance, it implied that one person felt that her singing was worse than the other girl. While it seems insignificant, if you're ever put in this situation you start to doubt yourself and your abilities. In Minju's case, she probably felt her expectations for herself get crushed and that's why she cried. Later there was a scene of her in the dorms asking if she 'really did that bad' because the sticker hit straight at her confidence. Anyways I feel that you have to be in the same type of situation to really understand their feelings at the moment.

Woozi actually talked about this on Chattering with Na (about how he hates how some producers give feedback cause it only makes them discouraged )

weird how that one judge says that the girl needs to improve on the areas that she's lacking in but didn't mention what those are....:/
