He is JIMIN ( the unique voice and high voice guy). He is main dancer in BTS. You can react to his first solo album "FACE". " Like crazy" and "set me free pt 2 " is a great song.

Jimin has a neutral and bright tone and does his signature cry(?) at the end of his notes. He likes to wear jewellery/accessories too (he is global ambassador for Tiffany and Co), and that final "on and on and on" harmonisation at the end was with Jimin. I think you will find lots in common with him. 😊

Don’t feel bad. You’ll eventually learn all the members equally. Please take your time in listening to their music. There is a guide you can watch if you want to learn more about BTS and how they started but don’t rush into it. I want to recommend a live performance. It’s called Born Singer - Live Performance. I wasn’t sure if I could post links but the uploader is called BTSPurpleYou. So you can get a taste of their live vocals. It was shot in Vegas. 💜 I see Jimin keeps standing out to you a lot already ☺️ He’s my favorite.

The blue hair is Jimin who put out an album a month ago, so Look up Like Crazy by Jimin. When Jungkook began his solo you sat back and your eyes went wide, He just released a single called Seven that is a must see. They have 3 rappers, RM, Suga and J-Hope (who is the lead dancer/choreographer) called the Rap Line and 4 singer/dancers Jungkook, Jimin, V and Jin. V just released two songs yesterday (Rainy Days, Love Me Again) with an album about to drop. Jungkook's album drops in November I think. Jin's single this year is The Astronaut. RM's recent Album is Indigo and I highly recommend Wild Flower. Suga just wrapped up his D-Day concert tour and people will point you to Haegum, but Amygdala spoke to me deeply, and his older hit Daechwita is fantastic. J-Hope's album was Jack in the Box, with the lead songs Arson and More but also check out On the Street featuring J.cole. Army is the name of the BTS fan base and if you love them too you have nothing to worry about.
you must admit: never in the history of boyband-dom has there been a group SO synchronized, especially at this unprecedented level of elite choreography, you'll see when you watch Run BTS dance practice :)
For the dance the best sync award goes to Seventeen, but it's not a bad thing if it's not perfectly in sync because it means they have more space for interpretation, so I think it's well balanced 😊
@dianealline4083 They are more free-flowing now, because they give more into video concept and story telling but early on they were the sync masters. My opinion! Suga and Jimin even talked about how Bang Pd made sure even their eyes had to sync lol

This is so funny 😭 jimin (the one with high voice) is actually one of the main dancers and went to contemporary arts highschool and joined street dance battles throughout his teenage years. So many rookie idols have him as their role model and the reason why they auditioned. there's even this girl from a famous kpop girl group who quit doing ballet to become an idol after watching Jimin performs😂

Filmed at Sepulveda Dam on the LA river. The ON MV was filmed at Vasquez Rocks east of Santa Clarita. For the recording they used the UCLA marching band (horns and drums). The choreo was created by Sienna Lalau, and that is her dance crew The Lab. ON MV is a 5 minute 'movie', while this ON is the same song, but the kinetic/movement/choreo version. (ON MV was my introduction to BTS when it was released in February 2020). V's (aka Taehyung) tattoo is only for this MV. Shadow-what is under his eye- refers to the Jungian psychological concepts including shadow, person, ego, self-actualization--all parts of the Map of the Soul (also the name of BTS' albums).
Suggestions to help you see each member and hear each member would be NPR's Tiny Desk Concert (filmed in Korea during the summer of 2020) where they perform three songs. Their order in this performance, left to right, is J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, V, Jin, RM, Jimin.
The other is BTS Room Live (Festa 2021) where they did a medley of songs.
After watching more videos, I would recommend Taylor Mari's A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7. It is 48 minutes long; ARMY will watch your whole reaction with pauses and commentary.

Hi Nathan, I’m from Oregon. I am a latecomer to BTS but definitely consider myself ARMY now. Just stumbled across your channel with this video. Fascinating to hear a critique from the point of view of someone who was in a successful boyband themselves. RM, J-hope, Suga are the rap line. (RM is the groups leader) they mostly rap, back up singers and dancers though J-hope is a really talented dancer. Jungkook, Jimin , V and Jin are the vocal and dance line of the group. Jungkook, and Jimin (light gray blue hair) and Jin have great falsettos but Jungkook also can sing lower range and he is a really gifted singer and dancer. In fact the group dubbed Jungkook the “Golden Maknae” which means he’s the youngest of the group and he’s unbelievably talented at everything he tries. Everything seems to come easily to him and everything he tries he excels at. Jimin has mostly tenor/ falsetto vocals and he studied ballet/modern dance through a special high school. V has a really unique voice that tends to be in the middle to lower register but he can also do a falsetto. He has a brassy, metallic quality to his vocals (I’m sure there’s a term for it) and He really loves jazz. Jin is the oldest member of BTS. Several of the members can play instruments. Suga plays piano and guitar and has done so in his solo projects and his recent concert tour. V can play Saxophone and I think trumpet, Jungkook can play drums and is teaching himself guitar, Jin is teaching himself piano. currently Jin and J-hope are enlisted in the South Korean military for their mandatory service. All the members will have to enlist and Suga just announced he has enlisted now that his solo concert tour just ended. The plan is for all the members to come back in 2025 and reform BTS. For the past year the band has been on hiatus and all have been pursuing their solo careers until they have to enlist. 💜💜Army; Please correct me if I missed anything or if I got something wrong. As for what you should listen to next try the following : Burning up (fire), Dope, Blood Sweat and tears, Dynamite, Mic Drop, Butter, DNA, Not Today, Fake Love, Boy with love, Dionysus, Black Swan, Yet to come, Danger, Bulletproof and by now you’ll be an ARMY for sure.
Thanks for the reaction "Pause King" 🙂. In BTS there are four vocalists: Jungkook, V Jimin and Jin and three rappers: RM, J-Hope and Suga. No. 1: That's not a real tattoo on V's face lol. No. 2: "Hey Na Na Nah" is Jimin. No. 3: The guy with the high solo part is Jungkook and the guy in the silver jacket is Jin. The first rapper is RM, the second rapper is J-Hope and the last rapper is Suga. I recommend you watch "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" for you to get to know BTS and it's members. Also you can watch it in one go. Army (The BTS fandom) don't mind long videos. 😉💜

There are 4 vocalists and 3 rappers in the group, the one with the high note is the main vocalist Jungkook, the one with the blue hair is Jimin what does the na na na , the one with the tattoo next to his eye is V.
You recognise Jimin everytime without even knowing. The Silver Hair. His high voice and Dance style totally caught you. Jimin effect 🫶💗.

That vocal is Jungkook who just had had the all kill on the US billboard with his latest song 'Seven'.
All 4 vocalist can hit amazing high notes. Jimin sings in a higher tone. Jin shines on the high notes in their Japanese songs especially.

I could say for all the artists I know, he is the one who brings a lot of Michael Jackson without copying him and have his own charisma. I love that about him. I used to say that he is a mix MJ and Prince as well. TINY DESK is a good performance to see who is singing and get a good feel for their voice because they are sitting down and not moving around much.
This was performed live in Grand Central Station in NY on Jimmy Fallon Show, exactly! The huffing and puffing after ... Jimmy could feel it. He and Jimin are bros. JF will try to perform Jimin's Like Crazy soon on his show for fun.

So you asked the names and profiles so here’s your little cheat sheet. Sorry, long thread but you asked for it (lol)
BTS has different teams, we call them lines. For every team, they have different responsibilities. I’ll give you some.
Vocal Line: the singing team
Jungkook - the one you said you love with raspy voice ( he is the main vocalist and the youngest - we call him our Golden Maknae (maknae is youngest in korean) Golden bec he can be everything, and he can do anything - sing, dance, rap, athlete, artist, and or course good visuals and body, etc. check out his solo single - Seven
Jimin - is your boy, sounds like female as you mentioned but that is because his voice is thin and has one of the highest tone in the group. (He does this with grace all the time). He is also one of the best dancers in the group. Check out his solo single Like Crazy
V or Taehyung - the visual, the one you said who won you back in your tiny desk review. His voice is more on the classic/jazz style. His voice is thick so he would normally do the second voice and harmonize beautifully with the others. Recent single - love me again and Rainy days, but pls check his cover of Cheek to Cheek, you will love him more.
Jin - the eldest, main visual, has a high tone too. He is the one who you said hit E5 from your tiny desk review. Check out his song Epiphany, but watch the live performance and see how he hits the notes perfectly. Oh and also Astronaut, his collab with Coldplay
Rap Line:
RM - the leader, main rapper, most the songs are written by him. He has low register. So many reco for this guy, just check out the whole album Indigo
Jhope - the dance leader who smashed his lollapalooza festival performance in 2022 has more of the rapping + singing style. Check out his album Jack in the Box. He is fire!!!!
Suga - the other bad boy looking you said that you love. Is the lead rapper, most of the times producer, arranger, composer of the team. He is known for his tongue technology bec he can deliver a super fast rap (in one breath) think like eminem. Oh this one has a lotttt of albums to check out. He has an alter ego named AUGUST D. So check out the albums August D, D-2 and the most recent one D-Day

The guy with the blue hair (hey na na na really high voice) is Jimin; black-hair guy with face tattoo is V; the kid walking up the center singing really high is JK, the very first rapper rapping about the shadow at his feet is the leader, RM, the next two rappers are J-hope and Suga and the guy in the jeans jacket is Jin. Hope that helps.
The choreographer of this was Sienna Lalau who was just 19 at the time. The dancers were from the troop she works with, The Lab. V's 'tattoos' were drawn on with a pen. The one on his face says, 'The Shadow Like Me' and the ones on his neck are thorns. He felt they fitted with the concept of this mv. J-Hope is the first rapper you see (edit : the first rapper is RM second is J-Hope) and he is also a sub vocalist so he does tend to sing rap quite often. He's also their dance captain who leads them through practices and keeps an eagle eye on their formations. They all wear earrings except for J-Hope who doesn't have his ears pierced. He sometimes wears a clip on. When you said that something else was going on they were peeling off from the line in age order, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, RM Jimin, V then finally their youngest, Jungkook. He's their centre. They all dance but the dance line is J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V. They do the more difficult stuff. If you want to branch out a little then I would suggest SHINee's new one, 'Hard', but honestly, BTS' discography is getting on for 400 songs so there's an awful lot to choose from. I would suggest trying, 'Black Swan' next but don;t forget to read the lyrics on the video. The first rapper after Jimin and V is RM actually.
The one who sung-rapped is J-Hope and Suga came in after him repeating his last line.
JK is main vocalist and has an important position in the center of their act. I'm of the firm believe that BTS has no "Center" other than for official photoshoots which they also do not always keep to.
Jimin and J-Hope are two of the best dancers in K-pop.
I think including remixes and pre-debut songs we may be at over 500 songs. Boracity Magazine has made a list. As far as i can tell she had most of them (she is missing some pre-debut stuff unsurprisingly because it is really obscure and I know she missed the song for Omi (?) that Suga produced (he actually whispered his signature "Suga" on it - he forget with the first recording and was reminded to add it))
But the truly important thing on this song are the lyrics:
We are at the end of the journey of the "Map of the Soul". We saw the Persona, began exploring the Shadow and in "On" after the first contact with the Shadow we go over to the real fight to integrate - as much as it hurts - the Shadow into the conscious part of self to get to the "true self" or at least as close as possible. You could also say to get the Ego to the line of the "true self".
Because the only way you can learn to "love yourself" is to "know yourself" first.

Guy with the high notes is JIMIN, main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS. 2nd guy who did the high notes NOT IN FALSETTO like in your attempt haha, is Jungkook, main vocalist in BTS. Jimin is voted KIng of Kpop and Best kpop dancer for many years in a row. Jimin's single "Like Crazy" is the first and ONLY solo korean song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard even changed the rules quietly at the end of the 2nd tracking week to prevent Jimin from getting another week at #1. Billboard have been perpetually revising their rules to block BTS from ruling their chart.

I only started listening to BTS a few months ago because I always thought they weren't going to be for me but I fell in love with them instantly. They're not like any group you've ever seen they literally do everything and every genre just pure talent and their lyrics are always meaningful and inspiring. Not to mention that they're genuinely good people who truly care about their fans and about each other.
They're also hilarious just full time comedians there's never a dull moment with them you're in for a treat

Never boring to watch people react to BTS for the first time and on. I'm a 56 year old fan (Army- we are called) of BTS. I first heard of BTS by my grandchildren 6 years ago and I can't go back to western music. Army is large and very diverse. For me BTS is not a fad or a temporary moment in my life, some people call the love we have for BTS a cult. It's the different genres, the lyrics, the unique personalities of each member that we love. So I say to you, welcome and enjoy your journey into BTS.

To answer your questions:
1) Jimin = high voice doing the Hey Na Na Na's (with blue hair in this video (but NEVER go by hair color). Jimin is one of the 2 Main Dancers (trained in contemporary dance). He released an album earlier this year called FACE and 2 MV's: Set Me Free Pt 2, and Like Crazy. I can't really explain his style. It's different.
2) V (aka Taehyung) is the one with the (temporary) tattoo on his face. He doesn't have one in real life, but sometimes gets some for performances. V is the baritone of the group and is into R&B and Jazz. He just released 2 MV's "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Day" and his first solo album is due out on Sept 8th.
3) Jung Kook = other high singer who had the solo and also was center at the end with the fierce look on his face. He is BTS' youngest member (about to turn 26), and their Main Vocalist (meaning, he sang many of the vocal guides for others to learn their parts from, but also he is an amazing singer, sometimes a rapper, dancer, artist, athlete, and recently proved he can be an actor too). He just released his first official solo song called "Seven" feat. Latto - in all English, a pop song produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut. He is expecting to release another Single and a Mini Album (his first ever) by November 2023.
4) RM = red hair in this video and is the leader of BTS and the main rapper. His most recent solo album is called Indigo, and I personally think the entire album is a masterpiece. He's the poet of the group and a main song writer. He's also a literal genius with IQ of 148. There are 2 MV's from the album: Wild Flowers and Still Life. RM has 2 prior mix tapes - one called RM and one called Mono.

5) J-Hope - did the first rap part breaking out from the group (him and 2 others behind him), which then switched to Suga/Agust D. J-Hope is a Main Dancer (street style, pop n lock), and a Rapper. He learns the choreo first and then helps the other members learn the dances. He was the first since mid-2022 to release a solo album, called Jack In The Box. The 2 MV's from that are More and Arson. He later released a collab MV with J. Cole called Hope on the Street. He had prior mixtapes as well.
6) Suga/aka Agust D - lead rapper and a great producer. He was the one rapping in front of the drum line with the drummers being the other members. You said he had some autotune on his voice (yes, he did). Suga just finished a world tour of like 28 or 31 concerts (solo). His latest solo album is called D-Day and the MV's from that are Haegeum and Amygdala. He had 2 mix tapes while doing BTS group work as well.
7) Jin - another vocalist who is known for his "silver voice" and can go quite high, but also hit really low notes. He was in the denim jacket in this MV. He didn't seem to have as many parts in this particular song. He didn't have time to release more than one single, which is a collab song with ColdPlay called "The Astronaut" and it has an MV. He was the first to enlist in S. Korea's mandatory military in Dec 2022. J-Hope was 2nd in April 2023, and Suga will be next (just announced recently).
All members will likely enlist by the end of 2024. We know some of them are working on even more content that will release in 2024 while they are in military. Jin gets out June of 2024. All of them expect to reunite in 2025 sometime
Anyway, about ON - they performed this live on a late show in Grand Central Station. It's quite amazing actually! The other ON MV is the same song but has a very different feel to it due to the visuals.
Maybe try: Not Today, Fake Love, DNA, Black Swan, OR do 2021 Festa Room Live which is a medley of songs from early on to 2021 to give you a feel for some of what they do musically. There are several really good introduction videos out there. Most people will recommend you to watch An Introduction to BTS: the Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. xCeleste also has some good videos about BTS. The Rice Squad also has one The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, A Story of BTS (not 100% sure on the title but it's close), which goes into more detail about BTS" discography and how they came to be, whereas Taylor's goes into more depth about each member.
I'm in the U.S. and in my 60's. I found BTS in May 2021 via their Black Swan video and never looked back. This is one talented, hard-working group of young men. I have huge respect for them. They also have their own variety show with 155+ episodes called "Run BTS" (they also have a song named "RUN BTS" that they performed live October 15, 2022 in Busan, S. Korea. That is not to be confused with a song called "RUN" that is also a great one.
You should watch their documentaries and their history so you will be aware how hard they went through years of training. They’re breathing while they dance. Years of 16-18 hours a day of practice with voice lessons and synchronization when they dance. I recommend you watch some of their concerts where they perform non-stop.
Can you react to their live performance from their 5th Muster concert - Dimple/Pied Piper? It’s one of my favorites!

I love that performance, but it's not a great introduction? With the technical sound difficulties as well as JK started out with some flat notes before correcting himself, and Jimin starting to sing a bit out of tune in the middle and end.

To see a mindblowing BTS performance, watch the 2019 MAMA Awards show. You’ll see a mix of genres in that performance. It’s hard to recommend just one BTS video. Definitely watch official MVs or live performances. Their performances are next level. Some personal faves are Black Swan, Idol, Dope, and Mike Drop. Another fave is the 2022 Grammy performance of Butter.

Loved your music when I was growing up in malaysia. I was a school DJ in my teens, and Plus One's Last Flight Out was always on my to-play list, together with the other greats like NSync, BSB, Westlife, 98 degrees, NKOTB, Boyzone, Take That, Boy-II-Men, etc. Still have all the tapes, CDs, discmans and walkmans in a box somewhere. Gosh, feel kinda old now lol.
Its wonderful to see you reacting to BTS, my fav artists for quite a few years now. ARMYs are mostly fans of good music and many older fans like me who were into boy groups growing up in the 90s and Y2K naturally gravitate towards boy groups like BTS for the nostalgia, looks or some other reason at first. However, if u dig deeper, there is so much more than meets the eye. Their whole discography (including solo works) is astounding, they are talented dancers and musicians, write meaningful and thoughtful lyrics, have admirable work ethics, and have cultivated a once-in-a-lifetime connection with their fanbase. They are just...so different. In all the ways that matter and in the best way possible. Thats all based on my opinion/experience, might be different for other fans.

This was filmed at the Sepulveda Dam, Close to Burbank, CA During their Sold Out, Permission to Dance concert, at SoFi Stadium. My sister and I, during the day, took a drive to this location and saw many other ARMY's with the same idea. It was a great experience. Dancing, taking selfies where the boys filmed the ON video. Many are kidnapped by K-pop songs, but, the person who knows the value of hip hop and knows what real music and rap are, is the one who appreciates BTS, for me they are the best, the lyrics of their songs are always legendary, and no one can beat the beats they make or their delivery, they are kings, And they did not reach this stage like the rest of the singers, but they got very tired and worked hard until their ass got shattered, they deserve the best, not because they are famous, but because they paved the way, because they are the best!

All of them do everything, for real, but the main singers are Jimin (blue hair), V (tattoo), Jungkook (second high voice-perfect pitch), and Jin (super clean crystal voice). 3 rappers, RM (orange hair), Suga( grey hair), J Hope (singing rapper). Glad you found the rabbit hole. I am 66 yr old ARMY, and these young men are extremely talented and hard working with the strongest humility and gratitude for what they have, and for their fandom. Exceptional messaging and care for their fans and each other. Most admirable, indeed!
Ok, to answer some of ur questions and observations.
First, there are two videos for this song. This one is normally called a performance video. This one was filmed in L.A. Basin. And what they are performing in front of is the Sepulveda Bridge.
The second video is the "offical video" for the song. And this one was filmed about 60 miles north of L.A. in the Angeles state forest. Where they used to film old movies and t.v. shows in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, like MASH. Now, there is a third video that they recorded at the same time as these two in 2020. That one was filmed at the historic L.A. Theater. That song and video are called "Black Swan." And I'm sure u will watch it soon enough. All three were filmed about 2 weeks before everything was shut down. So they got them in just in time.
Now, for this video and song, the video was shot with both stable cameras and drone cameras. Those are the sweeping angles we got.
The dancers that are wither are a crew called "The Lab," and the choreographer was the first woman that you saw in the video. The group has performed with BTS in their concerts in both L.A. and Las Vegas just last year. The big, brassy, over the top, band sound, well it is a band. BTS asked the UCLA Bruins along with their jazz group and gospel choir to help them with this song and a couple more on the album this song is from.
As for the group, we are going from oldest to youngest. It will be the easiest to remember. And I'm going to use their stage names. All of ARMY know their real names, several nicknames for each members as well as maybe their own. So I believe their stage names will be easier for you to catch on to, so here we go:
1. Jin-Vocalist, the only one with the blue jacket.
2. Suga-rapper, the one that caught your eye and said, "I don't give a ugh."
3. J Hope-rapper, the main dancer, the one you said was sing/rapping at the same time.
4. R.M.-main rapper, leader of the group, the one that u believe has orange hair, (it's actually light pink.)
5. V-vocalist, the one who had the face tattoo, (which isn't real, but it reads "a shadow like me.")
6. Jimin-vocalist, the one who caught ur attention with his high vocal range. He is the one with the blue silver hair.
7. Jungkook-vocalist, youngest, the one who took the solo part with the crazy vocal range.
I apologize for such a long post, but I hope the info helps a little.

This video popping up in my recommendations blew my mind! I was a HUGE Plus One fan in high school and even saw you guys live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland! Both songs called "On" are the same song, just different videos. Their song "Butter" has like six different versions of official music videos. For now I'd stick to the original, dance practice, special performance, or a live version.
The rappers are RM (also the leader), Suga, and J-Hope. The vocalists are Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and V. J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook are the main dancers. The others dance very well (Suga does reluctantly 😂), but dancing isn't the passion for them as it is for the other three. The group is on a temporary hiatus while they serve out their Korean mandatory military service. Jin and J-Hope are already serving. Suga will be going in shortly.
Each member has solo songs or albums, pre-hiatus and now, during the hiatus. There are many solo songs worth checking out, but I'll keep it to one per member. Jin- The Astronaut, Suga - Daechwita (the first in a trilogy), J-Hope - More, RM - Wildflower, Jimin - Filter, V- Rainy Days, Jungkook - Seven. The rapline have several songs with only them.
