    You are the gold standard on how every exhaust video should be presented.Thank you! Picked up my awe touring for the s4 this week.

    It's nice how you did the before and after and with the runs this sounds better I have a 2017 S4 my buddy does custom Mufflers that might take and I put a MagnaFlow exhaust on there and it sounds really really nice it's got a deep sound different than the European sounds it's different sounds like a muscle car and I can make it sign when if I want to do but everything is welded

      @nicoboiardo3612 Thanks! Yes, I tried to get before and afters to help show the difference in sound. Yes, Magnaflow makes nice mufflers for custom setups. I used to have a custom Magnaflow setup on my old S4.

    Can definitely tell you still have cats in. Wasn't the sound but the Cali plates that gave it away. I actually bought my SQ5 when I was in San Diego for a six month school. Took it to fab shop to ask for them to fab an exhaust system from the down pipes back. He said no. I came back with the Florida plates from my GTI and he said fuk it. I definitely think the best balance in noise and blower wine is 2 3/4" straight, true X at the bend of the down pipes pipe, welded as one piece and wrapped with stock cats. I could still hear blower whine (was insane after dual pulley) and zero rasp. Eventually the cats died and test pipes went in. Have to control rasp between 2.4 and 3.2 buy manually shifting but its loud and I cant hear whine unless its WOT. People comment on how well it sounds for a EA837 straight. Had a couple guys local attempt to replicate it on their S4 and S5s. Sounded like shit. Come to find out it was the extra length of pipe being an SUV that balanced it out. A lot of science behind exhaust note, tone, and scavenging.

      Haha yup still have cats in. Dang nice! That's all good to know. I don't plan on removing cats until unless I have too haha

    Would it be easier to just pop the exhaust off the hangars with a bit of silicone spray and a pry bar? I removed the hangars on previous models (B6) but learned I could just pop them off the hangars and save some time.

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I honestly felt it was easier to unbolt/bolt the hangers vs prying them off but that way is also a good way to do it.

    How’s the drone and rasp?
    Currently only have an x-pipe done and if the drone & rasp isn’t crazy bad I’ll definitely consider getting one of these

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly, drone is barely noticeable when cruising at consistent speeds and there is actually no rasp. I honestly feel like it's not LOUD enough for me haha and am thinking about converting to the track setup.
      I would definitely recommend this setup if you like it mellow when driving normal and somewhat loud when getting on it.

  • @Supercharged_S4
    @Supercharged_S4 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I remember for the previous s4 you had you installed a custom setup. Do you think that setup is louder and has a better tone or is it similar to the awe touring?

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea at this point, my old B8 S4 with the custom setup is louder. Might be a different case when I swap in the "track" section in place of the touring rear mufflers.
      They sound really similar, but I feel like the custom setup sounds a little better because most likely because of the 2 x-pipes.

  • @ravishekchand2699
    @ravishekchand2699 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    how loud would you say this is compared to the previous setup you had? The magnaflow 11385 to basically full straight pipe. That's the setup I have now and it sounds great. Just a little bit loud so i cant hear the whine unless im WOT :(

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's definitely not as loud as my old car's setup. I actually prefer the older setup and want it louder haha but this will do for now until I find a track section rear, although I am starting to like the touring more.
      You for sure could hear the whine more with the touring. Honestly, I feel like the touring would be a perfect daily driver setup for people who likes it mellow when not driving hard and somewhat loud when driving hard.

      @@cjscarcollection18 ahhh i see makes sense Thanks for the reply. Im content with the setup for now but worried about the future with the whole cat situation. Just trynna get the best bang for the buck as I am a college student lol. Thanks for your vids it really helps out. Are you planning on going catless in the future or no? also how are the solowerks coilovers holding up? I was looking into them

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ravishekchand2699 no probs, I totally understand. I'm glad my videos could be of help to others out there. I actually do not plan on going catless because California is pretty strict about that. I hope my cats will last and I actually think it will cause it's just a daily driver and I don't have 2step or burble or be racing everyone on the streets. Solowerks has been holding really good so far. Still no complaints and still loving it for a daily driver.

    • @ravishekchand2699

      @@cjscarcollection18 ahh i see makes sense since your in cali and its a daily, and thanks for the info about the coilovers. Last question i got. I know you have extensive knowledge on these platforms and i’ve dug all over and cant seem to find a good catless exhaust setup. they all sound terrible or cost like 5k. any ideas??

    • @cjscarcollection18
      @cjscarcollection18  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ravishekchand2699 I don't have experience with going catless on this platform but from what I have seen throughout the Facebook groups is that gutted stock cat pipes sounds best. If going with an aftermarket catless testpipe you'll have to add more resonators to remove rasp.

    • @cjscarcollection18
