Birds of Paradise in West Papua

- Fifteen different birds-of-paradise seen in West Papua, Indonesia in August-September of 2016. Birds are in order seen during the trip, which include Waigeo Island, the Arfak Mountains, Lake Habema, and Nimbokrang lowlands.
Species seen include: Wilson's Bird-of-paradise (Diphyllodes respublica), Red Bird-of-paradise (Paradisaea rubra), Glossy Manucode (Manucodia chalybatus), Black Sicklebill (Epimachus fastosus), Arfak Astrapia (Astrapia nigra), Long-tailed Paradigalla (Paradigalla carunculata), Black-billed Sicklebill (Drepanornis albertisi), Magnificent Bird-of-paradise (Diphyllodes magnificus), Western Parotia (Parotia sefilata), Superb Bird-of-paradise (Lophorina superba), Splendid Astrapia (Astrapia splendidissima), King Bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius), Pale-billed Sicklebill (Drepanornis bruijnii), 12-wire Bird-of-paradise (Seleucidis melanoleucus), and Lesser Bird-of-paradise (Paradisaea minor).
