  • What are the different ‘garments' of our new wardrobe? How do we put them on? Why should we put on the "new man”? What does God have to say regarding all social and racial barriers among people? What are the four commands which ensure our new wardrobe stays in place? All this and more in our session this Wednesday.
    Colossians 3:9-17
    Your new wardrobe should consist of the following garments:
    Put these garments everyday.
    1. COMPASSION - Tender Mercies, feel what the other person is going through in your gut, Be intentional.
    2. KINDNESS - a helpful person.
    3. HUMILITY - Not think less of yourself, but think of yourself less, freedom from pride and arrogance. Serve rather than be served.
    4. GENTLENESS - Willing to suffering injury without resentment. Power to stay calm. The stallion has power but choose to stay tame. Meekness is power under control.
    5. PATIENCE - patience with people, long suffering, To not act hastily. Not impulsive. Not acting snappy.
    6. FORBEARANCE - make an allowance for each other's fault, patience when provokes. Holding back judgement against your offender.
    7. FORGIVENESS - surrendering the right to strike back, replace resentment and anger with goodwill and pray for that person, take steps to restore good relations.
    8. LOVE - Summed up in love. When you love the first 7 garments will be naturally and sincere.
    Do not walk around naked without the 8 garments.
    The 4 priorities every day to keep your new wardrobe on:
    1. let the peace of Christ rules your heart
    2. Be thankful at all times
    3. Dwell richly in the word of God (Bible)
    4. Do all things unto the name of Christ
