This game needs a taming mechanic. Just 2 bugs or so. One to ride and transport things like grass planks, and one small one to be like an attack dog. Like you need to find an ant egg or something.
Ants live for a very short amount of time and only care about protecting the nest, so it wouldn't make much sense, but i'm sure there could be some insects for that. Maybe not even taming a permanent one but just giving it food so it'll temporarily follow you and your orders would be nice.
There is plans for an Aphid pet to be added in the next few patches along with a few different traps for them. In the update roadmap it's listed as something like "Insect Taming Phase One". So I do think they have plans for quite a few different tame-ables in the future! Also, as far as ants only protecting the nest, they also have listed in the roadmap "Ant Pheremone Control" so it may be possible in the future to get a certain pheremone maybe from the Queen Ant which would let you get a soldier ant to follow you or ants that will bring you food or something.
They might let you tame something like a fruit fly, bumble bee or other large flying insect in a way that you could have a mobile base one the bugs back Just a thought

Zekrom_Vale but in Skyrim he downloaded a mod that replaced spiders with bears and it just gave him a fear of bears so I don’t think he wants a fear of blobs

I used to have arachnophobia really bad as a kid. One day my dad wanted me to help him with work and made me crawl underneath a house. I got pretty far back in there and he said "why don't you turn on your light you probably can't see anything". I turned on my light and there were spiders EVERYWHERE. I about passed out. I was so terrified but I knew my dad would be pissed if I crawled out without finishing what I had to do. I did what I had to do and got tf out of there. After that I still didn't like spiders but I didn't have a crippling fear of them. Nowadays I crawl under houses all the time because I do HVAC and they don't really bother me that much anymore.

If you want to try overcome your arachnophobia, I recommend gradual exposure therapy. Might want to start out with just pictures of jumping spiders (or drawings) in your case. Then again, I totally understand if you'd really rather not
