Roland E-35 start-up problem and repair

- In this video, I repair a ROLAND E-35 Intelligent Synthesizer which could not start up at all. It was a pretty quick fix for it. Enjoy watching and I hope you can fix your's if your keyboard suffers the same problem.
I had the same problem with the cracked solder for the power connector on my E-15. Jiggling the connector worked for a while, then it stopped working completely. Re-soldering it fixed the issue.

I have the same problem with mine, twice now it died. The first time I purchase another power back for it from Amazon and was working great until today, now it has died once again. Wish you were here to check mine out!!! Great job in finding the trouble for that one.
Dear Linda, thanks for watching my video and sorry to hear that you have encountered the problem for the second time. Based on your explanation, it seems your keyboard has another problem elsewhere so that it causes the damage to the power supply module. I am located in Germany, I wish I could have the possibility to have a look at your board but it seems you are living far away from Germay. Anyway, my Keyboard is for sale in:

Hi! I'm from Italy, I found your videos and they are extremely interesting!! Thank you very much! My brother-in-law gived me a Roland E-20 which have been in a garage for a long time with high humidity. When I tried to switch on the display doesn't work, all red light pulse ramdomly with nosense, and any sound is generated. Only a noise. I opened it and I found the tampoon battery leaved there, I changed but nothing happened. Do you have please some idea?

hi sir I have a problem with my keyboard my ac/dc adaptor connected to the keyboard I tester it it's read dc12v output is correct base on his dc output but when I turn on my keyboard its have a low voltage comes in and different reading on multitester and my keyboard screen is blinking what is the problem my adaptor or the board in my keyboard?
Hello, how do you take the keyboard key's off of this model? I have the exact same piano but I'm trying to fix a loud key but can't seem to figure out how to take off a key because of the spring on it.

Olá amigo !! Eu tenho um módulo Roland RA90, ele funciona, mas não sai som. Já testei a saída de som, injetei áudio no circuito preamplificador de áudio e está funcionando perfeitamente. Eu parei o teste no CI ELKTR391CA, não sei como medir, eu não entendo de eletrônica, sou apenas curioso. Você poderia me ajudar ?

You need just a 12 volt power card
جناب گلزار عرض ادب،بنده یه کیبورد یاماها a300 دارم،مدتیه شده بعد از اتصال ادابتور یکسره روشن میشه،یعنی پاور،کلیدش تاثیری در روشن و خاموش کردنش نداره و هیچی به غیر از نور صفحه درش نیست،فقط نور صفحه روشن میشه و صدایی نداره....بنظرتون ایراد میتونه از کجا باشه،حدودا هم بدونم کفایت میکنه،سپاس فراوان

Hi. When a Keyboard can't startup, then probably there is a problem either in the external power supply or internal power board. In my case in this video, I figured out that the power board inside the keyboard had lost a connection. I just re-soldered the disconnected point and it worked out. Please try to follow the steps that I have shown in this video or ask an electrician friend to help you. I hope you get it fixed.

Maybe the Voltage regulator is broken. I cann't say anything about it without having access to the keyboard's electronics. I would suggest to find elecctrical engineering students who might help you.

I coundnt stand this crap. 28 mins of bullshiting. So what was the problem?
The PSU brick output reads 17V because it is not under load, it should drop down to 12V when it has a load
