This year I got into rock, and I found myself searching for a certain rock sound/subgenre. I didn't know how to describe it or what it was called. Turned out, one night when I clicked on a random recommended study music vid, I would find exactly what I was looking for. Thank you WHPR for introducing me to the best study playlist ever and one of the best genres.

Thank you so much to all the post-rock artists out there and thank you whpr for sharing all these songs ✨️ post-rock has helped me in the toughest moments, today it's helping me overcome depression. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all 💛 you saved my life.
A lot of people simply don't understand the concept of rock music with little to no lyrics, and/or don't understand a message can also be sent with predominantly/only instrumental music alone.
I recommend you all listen to the album, Casualties of Cool by Devin Townsend and Chê Aimee Dorval, has remained my therapy music since I discovered it
I might think the same if this playlist included all of the best postrock releases from 2022. There are some gems here, some only so so songs/bands. Many gems are missing. (Not to say that the person who made the playlist did a bad job. It is hard to stay on top of all new releases.)

I truly cannot understand why this music genre is so underrated

i think because it's a heavily loaded with emotions....sad kinda emotions but beautiful at the same time, at least that's how i feel.
I would say it's better that it is underrated, this way it stays cozier for who enjoy it, we can treat it as the treasure it is.
it's a great representation of the earth's consciousness
