    I met a man from Sierra Leone once. He said people in the United States have no idea of what real hardship is, and that they have no concept of where he is from.

    Great insights, it would truly take a village to raise Africa from the ashes; for the current Hobbesian model of African politics hasn't yielded any fruit but pain and suffering for the last century.

    He seems like a good man. I think the US should be able to do more to strengthen its ties with Liberia. I can't tell you exactly why but I feel it would be in the US's best long term interests too.

      As much as anyone really. I see no reason why McMaster would have anything against Liberia.
